Finally, I just reach Diamond. I know about the 4 drinks per day.  I know I can go to the diamond lounge for the coffee.  What other benefit do I get?

    Beside that's list here?

    https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/crown-and-anchor-society-benefit-grid.pdf

You can now look down on other cruisers who are not diamond and scoff at the crew who do not acknowledge your profound presence

Well Matt....You know what you can do with your opinion.

But yes NOBODY will be getting tips this week.

I made it to Florida and DH and I have fought non stop for 2 days over this. He is determined to not let his money get wasted. If Royal Caribbean wants Very Unhappy Guests due to there cut backs, here they come.

As for myself I have decided not to go. Too much negativity. This is NOT the trip I purchased a year ago!!!!! Haven't been anywhere since 2011 and it will take years to be able to save for another trip, but I just am not in the mindset to make this work anymore. So ultimately no tips from me. No additional purchases. The gravy train stops here Royal.

As for DH. I wouldn't count on anything but attitude and unhappiness. He is very very angry. He feels also feels Royal took our money then cut back everything. He thinks we should be grandfathered in to how things were at final payment. Any cut backs after that date should not be our problem. Like pre tipping old amount of $14 instead of $16 if paid by certain date etc. But after that how to handle the rest we no longer agree. I'm done trying to feel anything but disgusted at Royal Caribbean. Now I have to figure out how to get home as cheap as possible. I'm in no mood to make lemonade. I just give up. So folks NO TIPS ANYWAY!!!!

    The End.

This is a great decision, the cruise will be much better without you

  3. Just need clarification.

If we have OBC and do not spend it before the cruise, will it just be automatically on our account and be used to pay the bill at the end?

Or do we need to specify when making purchases on board that we want to use OBC?

As said, transatlantic cruises are repositioning cruises that only really happen in early spring and early fall. There aren’t many, if any, during the summer months as that doesn’t make economic sense for the cruise lines to tie up a ship for 2 weeks one way and 2 weeks another during prime cruise season. Yes, there will always be kids on any RC cruise but these have the least. Even having 500 on Symphony is still less than 10% of capacity of an Oasis class ship. On a summer Caribbean cruise it’s easily double that.

Makes sense, thanks for the insight

I was just randomly browsing and spotted two more new menus on Brilliance's current sailing (she's doing a 14-night Panama canal), if anyone wants to have a look.

One is called "A taste of Royal history" and the other is "A taste of the world".

I need to do a longer cruise so I can sample all the menus

I was never great at maths but even I can see that something's not quite right here... 😂

I just logged into my cruise planner for my Anthem cruise out of NJ to the Bahamas at the end of this month and the banner informs me:

    image.png.2932959f66f3fce02660ac7d39e3ae4d.png

    Which equates to:

    image.png.6ad5d27aee3d170a8473c4ce09d19de3.png

Um, ok, how can 50% of $90.00 be $66.99?

Especially when, for my Anthem cruise out of Southampton to the Norwegian fjords in July, we have:

    image.png.8873195a17198e5891b42fbe19195247.png

    Which, in turn, equates to:

    image.png.ae75c2d85aec49328087e0715700d30e.png

No wonder people get confused! 🥴

    I heard it was based off the original price. So 90 + 45 = 135 ÷ 2 = 67

Trying to determine if the drink package is worth it. I hate that both parties in the state room have to buy it. Does anyone know prices of drinks on the ship?

Which package are you considering? If you want deluxe, you can call royal and tell them the other person does not want it and they will let the other get refreshment.

If you get refreshment or anything lower, the other party does not have to get any package.

    Hi Friends,

First time cruisers, I wanted to run something by more experienced RCL guests.

We're gonna be on Adventure of the Seas in May. We put in a Royalup suite bid to an Owners Suite which was accepted. We also have dining and drink packages.

I currently have the key booked as well but after looking at things I think the benefits largely overlap the benefits suite guests already get?

    Is that true?

    What do you think?

How much was the winning bid?

RC desserts don't wow me. I either have a glass of wine with dinner or the banana split ice cream sundae off the kids menu. It's good in the MDR but really good in #CK.

Baked Alaska, we enjoy that one also!

B split sundae sounds fantastic! The kids menu always has the better stuff.

The staff will move it for you. I have had to do this before when there are no chairs for my family but rows of chairs with the standard issue chair hog essentials on them. They watch for a bit and then clear the chairs for you. I have taken this into my own hands on a few occasions but only after watching the hogs at 6am while doing my AM walk and knowing the perpetrators. It’s a dog eat dog world.

People eally shouldn't do themselves. Whether right or wrong, have the staff do it. Otherwise it just becomes he said she said bs.
