  1. Same here. East Fort Lauderdale is a ghost town and the beaches have been closed for at least 10 days at this point. Saturday when I was on my boat there was only a couple cruise ships in port (silversea and Princess) which is a strange sight on any given Saturday in Port Everglades.
  2. There shouldn’t be anyone flying here to FL for a cruise unless they have been living in a cave for the last 10 days.
  3. I would take this even a step further and say anything before 10/1/20 is 0% especially since this virus is just ramping up now. It’s going to take many months to clean up this mess and what’s to say the company survives the financial slaughter? Just trying to be real.
  4. -Dedicated employee to serve ice cream from the machines if they don’t already have that.
  5. So it’s certainly possible that one (Or all) of the Oasis class ships will get a red & blue Carnival whale funnel welded to the top & a Guys Burger Joint? Lol
  6. Aren’t you the OP that likened the COVID19 to WW2? I think you might have lost some credibility with that assessment, lol.
  7. Virgin Scarlet Lady is sailing 8/7/20. I still consider that ambitious but we will see.
  8. Lol. Nurse Nancy produces some diamonds in the rough.
  9. I bet this is realistic. Especially for the cruise industry to be back into full operation.
  10. Not Fort Lauderdale. There is not a single person on the beach as the mayor closed the beach down & enforces 24/7 with police.
  11. Is it difficult as a safety professional to “look the other way” when your on vacation? I’ve witnessed one OSHA nightmare after another on these ships. They need to maybe review some human performance training.....
  12. My gut tells me August. I hope your right & im completely off. Too many variables in play to get started back up that quick regarding ports of call. Perhaps they start back up sooner w/ only sea day sailings? In any case, April 12th = pipe dream for sure.
  13. We take that gamble every year multiple times. So far, no issues.
  14. Government bail out. The cruise industry will survive this.
  15. Yeah it’s really all the same. I actually think Carnival has an advantage regarding their dining options (specifically lunch).
  16. Do you have anything already booked further out? I am going to use my FCC from April 12th sailing and apply it to November Oasis (Thanksgiving) that’s already booked.
  17. I went to get a coffee this am at Starbucks on 17th street in Fort Lauderdale & it was a ghost town. Normally this area is jam packed with crew members & I didn’t see a single person. The port is filled with ships & it seems the crew will be staying on them for the next 30 days (minimum).
  18. The Carnival Horizon Southern Caribbean cruise was pretty awesome. Seriously as good or better then Royal (and we always sail Royal Suite Class).
  19. I took this am. I believe this is Indy about a 1/4 mile offshore.
