  1. Prior events don't affect future odds.
  2. The chances are very small of a hurricane affecting operations at the peak of the season. They are incredibly low in the first week of the season.
  3. So, what should they do? Underprice the market and piss people off because nothing is available? Or price at the current market prices, make new loyal customers while the other's age and ultimately die?
  4. Absolutely stay in the city. Not staying in Manhattan is almost like not experiencing the full effect.
  5. Miami has everything at nearly every price and luxury point.
  6. That is all great unless the current price point is above your willingness to pay.
  7. My experience with Delta is that all rules are off on IROPS regardless of fare class.
  8. Fair enough but if there is a cancellation most airlines will still let you route to LAX or SNA.
  9. Flying in and out of LGB is one of the few flying pleasures left. It is sometimes pricey.
  10. Yes, but that doesn't have anything to do with location services on devices.
  11. The Caribbean is still part of the North Atlantic Ocean.
  12. I don't think you understand how this works in many states now. You cannot walk into a DMV office in my state and walk out with a photo ID. They don't have the printers to do it. This was a budget-saving measure from several years ago. It does vary greatly from state to state. In the case of my state, there MIGHT be one office in the state capital that can do it.
  13. I suspect the problem with this is the same as with the DL. Many states have gone away from printing these IDs at the local level which I think is a mistake.
  14. It wouldn't matter. If they did offer gambling and the market allowed Disney the pricing premium, they would still use it.
  15. You know some here have actually tried to balance business and customer interests in this pointless exercise. Do you not see how much money they make off this and how many it would drive away if the price was just $400 more for everyone? If there were no repercussions and one was doing their duty to the shareholders, the logic would be to raise the price to a million dollars a week, charge for the drinks (including water, tea, and lemonade), the meals, and pillows, for that matter.
  16. Getting a state-issued ID card is never really a bad idea although I suppose it is almost moot since she has a learner's permit.
  17. I am not saying it hasn't happened but you don't have any evidence that it has either, do you? And it's not even .1%.
  18. You have totally missed the point. If some people are willing to give it up voluntarily, then what is the problem? Have we seen mass (or any) cases of involuntarily denied boardings?
  19. Unless you are a Florida retiree driving to the port, then you say "hell yes, we will go next week for free."
  20. Yeah, that is right. The point is that they seriously almost never IDB someone and it's a crucial part of the business plan. I know the cruise thing is different because you don't catch the next cruise two hours later or tomorrow but if it works for someone who lives near the port, why not? I do agree there ought to be a written standard.
