  1. This is what I was trying to warn about in the missing charges thread. Never happened to me, but I recall it from the forum. I wish you the best of luck and hate that you are going through this.
  2. But the having to wait to book for UDP is going away per Matt's article from last week or the week before.
  3. Supper Club has shown up in CP for me now. Does appear to be no discount for Star Class. Also formal attire is required. Should be a fun night, but I do think they are sticking it to Star Class, I thought it included UDP, so why not the same benefits as UDP? Don't answer, I know the answer to all of my questions is "money"
  4. I had forgotten about this thread. On a PC departure for next month, we all still got 10:30. Check in was back on 11/01. Seems like maybe PC is still doing 10:30. I keep checking to see if it swaps but thus far it has not.
  5. Congrats @Doug_Texas. We'll be leaning on you for the first review!
  6. I find the prices reasonable and in line with prices I would book on Royal. I think the deepest discounts on Royal can be lower on some things. It's a hard comparison because with RCI it's ship to ship differences and then sailing to sailing differences within the ships. I don't drink alcohol, but one competitors bundle that includes Deluxe Drink, 4 device Wifi, 2 nights specialty dining and gratuities is less than buying the same on Royal with me substituting in even the Soda package at its lowest price in place of the DXB. The cruise fare was also slightly less than a similar itinerary at the same time of year on a much older RCI ship. That is the Love Boat line for your reference I still love RCI and I don't hate all of their pricing. I do dislike that nothing actually has a price. They treat everything like an airline ticket. I absolutely get value out of RCI and wouldn't cruise that other line with my kids, but not every cruise is a family cruise for us.
  7. We've got kids so we're doing Aquaventure, we want to do Baha Mar, want to hit Margaritaville still etc. For beach days, I don't see Nassau as that attractive. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Blue Lagoon, it is fine, but out of the seven days of cruise, I don't want an overabundance of beach days anyway. Nassau usually means PDCC as well which is a better beach day than anything Blue Lagoon can give you. Royal beach Club is also on the way, but knowing RCI, it's likely to be more than I want to spend to sit on the beach. I'm not in any way trying to trash them. Just saying we weren't going to be back any time soon, we've got a few things we want to do and don't mind staying on ship. I wouldn't force a beach day at Nassau. I think it's probably temporary, but your guess is as good as mine. Definitely tragic.
  8. That's who I was referring to @ScottD. That tech brings other features as well like automatic door unlocking, find your travel companions on ship etc.
  9. I agree @CanHardlyWait. It's easy to want to do everything and heck it's just a little more. But every single drop contributes to filling a bucket. PDCC is a great example. It can be and is a great beach day without spending a penny more. RCI makes it easy too because often the choices are free or super crazy ridiculous like 200 bucks for Thrill Water Park or $325 for the beach club. They'll make their sales and I respect that, but where they are at makes it just too easy to choose free and free at PDCC is still a perfect day. Take that 1k you saved and you're on you're way to another cruise after a few iterations.
  10. Hopefully one day they'll step up the tech a bit and you can order food and it will be delivered to where you are in that moment of delivery.
  11. Yep gone for mine too. I had no plans to head back anyway. Not that I wouldn't go back, just that there are other things I would do first.
  12. Hey @DJtech666. Congrats on the marriage! You should be fine on Q1 for that cruise, but if you're concerned bringing the birth certificate as backup isn't a huge hardship. On Q2 the Marriage License.
  13. The 70.99 30% BF deal is on Adventure, the 89.99 Buy One 50% off one is Icon. The varying starting prices across ships and across different sailings on the same ship is a Royal thing. On other lines where I'm booked, the price is the price. It's not a constant used car sales technique of figuring out the most I'll pay or can afford. I still enjoy sailing and feel like I can manage to get the things I want at the lowest price they'll ever offer it, but it requires work and babysitting I'm relieved of with other lines.
  14. I have one at Buy one get one 50% too. Same deal, regular price crossed out. New price represents the deal. 120+(120*.5)=180 89.99+89.99=179.98
  15. It's pretty clear on the CP. Mine isn't buy one get one 50% off, it's just 30% off. But the non-sale price is crossed out and the actual represents a 30.41% discount. The inside details also say it in plain english.
  16. Quality education doesn't preclude one thing from being easier than another.
  17. I love the shrimp and liquid lobster, I was looking forward to the devilled eggs, but the smoke that came out after the top was lifted was making us choke and our eyes water a bit. We're not particularly sensitive to smoke, but it kind of ruined the eggs
  18. It's possible. Be careful and get out in front of this. Search for threads where the user states RC Cancelled their cruise. I think you'll see very similar circumstances and some with the presence of a TA.
  19. What you need to worry about isn't that your excursions will be cancelled, it's that your entire cruise will be cancelled. I don't want to panic anyone, but I've read about this type of thing here in the past and what happened was that the excursion amount was shown as a balance due on the cruise and then the cruise cancelled for not being paid in full on the required date. I would be proactive here and contact them, maybe record the call or at least get it in writing when they tell you everything is ok.
  20. Bummer @Pringle. The slowness and the bad food preparation seem to jive with an ill or absent chef. I like Wonderland a little. I love the World for dessert and like the short rib. For the appetizers I could eat an endless amount of those shrimp in the noodles and about 50 spoons of liquid lobster. I see it as a one and done type place.
  21. I just do it from the Rewards page on the BOA site. My onboard credit always shows up within a couple of days even for sailings more than a year out. I keep hearing bout this 2 week thing but it has not once been my experience and I've made 0 total phone calls
  22. Nonsense. Your eating game will mature with your status escalation
