It sounds as if you maybe on the same cruise as we are.
Fort Lauderdale to Southampton.
 
We also have a Balcony room and looking forward to the many sea days back to the UK.
Lots of chilling and reading on there during these days ---- heaven !!

This Proves an Oasis class ship will fit. I found this info on the web...

Galveston Port Channel: 

Narrowest channel width is around 1200ft and wider at turning basin and the minimum Galveston channel depth is around 45ft (Port Canaveral is about 44 ft deep)

There is a 69ft length difference between the Liberty and the Oasis Of The Seas.

That means there is plenty of space both in width and depth at the turning basin near the Yacht Club

Looked at the men's water shoes Matt linked to there, not sure about them in terms of the seeming thinness of the sole and the surrounding material.
 
 
 
 
These look like they might be a better option. Sole looks thick enough that my cobbler might be able to put a lift in them (he has to slice the sole lengthwise and then puts the lift material in between the pieces like a sandwich). and the surrounding material also looks thicker and more durable. Seems a bit like a Teva shoe in terms of the semi-open sides, but going to put this one in my "Cruise Prep" shopping list on Amazon while I keep looking. Only caveat I see with these is that they only come in a standard "D" width, and my feet are a "EE" (wide). But if they're elastic enough, it may do for the short periods I'd be using them.

Interesting - I noticed that for the Navigator group cruise it showed the menu yet listed the restaurant as Sabor Taqueria and has the a la carte pricing with the $15 option.
 
I'm not sure if they're making all of the Sabor offerings the same or not -but if this is the case, I can't even tell the direction in which they're going with it.  It's also of course possible that this is all a mistake on the part of the web team.

While I admit it makes more sense in that a sticker can wear or fade off and it is a pain to have to stand in line at guest services to get another one, I kinda liked how it looked on the seapass card.
 
I pre-paid for my drink package for my upcoming cruise so see what it looks like when I get to check in!

I have a Western Caribbean cruise booked for October 8th on Oasis of the Seas, I am from England so will have flights etc.
 
I was wondering is it best to pre book transfers with RCCL or just pay for a taxi myself? I will be staying in Miami 3 night prior to the cruise. how far is Miami from the port ?

You stop at the closest bar and ask for two glasses of soda at a time, it works for me every time.
 
Thanks for all of the input on the Indy. I have decided to do a ice show, will get there about 20 minutes early so I get a seat and I am going to see Grease. 
 
I don't know what to do for excursions, we stop at Cozumel and Costa Maya. I am not a beach person or scuba, snooba, diver, so all of those are out, don't want a beach pass. There is an excursion in each city that is a city sightseeing but I don't know, doesn't sound to impressive. Someone on the Roll Call suggested Cozumel Bar Hop, they don't drink but said they had the best time of any excursion they have ever done. I am looking in to the bar hop.

I dunno, I couldn't even get enough to get my friend a boob job...

we all know how difficult it is to purchase Royal Caribbean ship models apart from on the ship.so I propose that this topic be used to get people their models!
 
For instance I am after Anthem of the Seas ship model & Harmony of the Seas. so would ask if anyone is willing to buy one on board for me and ship the ship to the UK? Obviously I would pay all the money upfront etc and a little extra so you can buy a drink on  board :P

I want to sail on a Quantum or Oasis class.

At any of the restaurants, including the Windjammer, and any of the bars.

Rhapsody was supposed to go in some time in December ..... I wonder if the schedule has been pushed back on other ships due during the early part of 2017.

I'm leaning towards voyager class ships. They have most of the amenities that a large class has (including promenade) but has less people and the feel of a small ship. I think of them as 'medium class', with the pros of both large and small classes.
 
I haven't tried radiance class (will in sept) but it may be a contender aswell with it famous multiple views of the ocean.
 
That said the ship I'm most sentimental about is the Enchantment, she's in a class of her own after being stretched. First ship and fell in love with cruising on her.
