  1. I have traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (4900 miles) for a cruise to Antarctica. I returned via Valparaiso, Chile (5200 miles).
  2. My first Cruise was on the other royalty line in October. I was worried about the rocking of the ship since I can get motion sickness. My older sisters told me that the big ships don't rock and I won't feel a thing. (Their previous experience have been in the Mediterranean Sea.) Fortunately, I did not believe them and got the patch. During the cruise, the waters were so rough (no hurricane) that the captain apologized that he had to pull in the stabilizers. As we were walking back from the a show, we found ourselves unable to walk a straight line, weaving from side to side in the halls. At this point I turned to my sisters and said, "So, I won't feel thing?" We laughed our way back to our rooms. Moral of this story, expect rough seas but expect to have a good time.
  3. @Traveling Mike, I read your link and I have to agree with the others. Yes, the first paragraph does say "Best Price Guarantee Program" but the second paragraph says "Cruise with Confidence Best Price Guarantee". Both names use "Best Price Guarantee". That is what makes me think they are both the same.
  4. Hi. While you may be new to this site, you are a well seasoned cruiser.
  5. I use the patch all the time when I am cruising or scuba diving. I would highly recommend the patch. Warning: you should start the patch the day before and use it continuously while you are on the ship. After applying a patch, make sure you wash your hands thoroughly before touching your face. The patch is not a quick fix for sea sickness but a continously relief. It should be used by people like me that get sea sick all the time. What a relief it has been for me.
  6. According to what I read, cosmetic damage only. I don't think Canaveral can say the same.
  7. I wished I was on that ship. The suspense is killing me!
  8. I laughed. I saw PBI but read PIB, which is Put-In-Bay, Ohio. I was wondering how you could get from Ohio to Florida in under 2 hours. Sorry but I don't know the answer to your question.
  9. @jcfosheand @Nick Gulla, go try it now. I just saw my previously entered check in info when I could not see it yesterday. Best of luck
  10. @MG728, go try now. I was able to see my records
  11. You are not the only one having problems. In the no boarding time when checking in? thread, @Nick Gulla said he had called RC and was told that they are having problems with their system.
  12. I just went to the website and tried to 'edit' my check in and 'view' my boarding pass. In both cases, I got the following error: "Information is currently not available. Please try again later." Something is definitely up on their end. But I think it is safe to assume that everyone on your cruise is having the same issues. Good luck!
  13. Wow! I am surprise you can enter your passport info but not select a time. Very strange indeed.
  14. I just checked the roll call for your cruise. There is none.
  15. I believe you. But I just like to be through. I have also been told that I don't explain things well in words. So, lets try pictures. I have attached screen shots of the main screen and the profile screen. The green circles are the buttons or icons you want to click on. Otherwise, I am clueless. I even counted the days to verify you are 45 days out. I think someone on RC missed the boat on this one. LOL!
  16. I think you are making the same mistake I made. When trying to check in, do not use the 'check in' icon at the bottom of the app. Instead, go to your profile (click on the person icon at the top right of the app). There should be a check in section under your stateroom section. Good luck.
  17. I would call Royal Caribbean or your travel agent for this type of question. You could also try to get an expedited passport. This is from the US Passport website: Expedited: Costs an extra $60. Takes 5 to 7 weeks.* *Processing times begin the day we receive your application at a passport agency or center, not the day you mail your application or apply. Agency or Center: Must have international travel in the next 14 calendar days. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/processing-times.html If you go directly to an agency to skip the mailing portion, you may just get it in time. Good luck!
  18. I got the 3 night package plus Chop's lunch plus Taste of Royal Lunch plus Chef's table (dinner with wine pairing). Note that the last two are not included in any dining package.
  19. I feel for your MIL - going on a cruise with unlimited food choices and have to weigh yourself everyday. Talk about a killjoy. Best wishes to your MIL.
  20. I personally would be a mess by worrying about getting to the port on time. So I would try to get to Port Lauderdale by noon and finding something to do while waiting for my check in time. But that is just me.
  21. Don't know if this would help or not but I have attached a CocoCay map. perfect-day-at-cococay-map.pdf
  22. My time is 11 am for my June 19th cruise.
  23. I totally agree @KJones. But since you mention 'comfortable with technology', I thought I would give them a low tech solution just in case their bags get lost. Also by using the plastic tag holders, it reduces the chance the paper tag will be torn off and lost - thus increasing the chance of their bags getting lost. But overall, the chances of the bags getting lost is pretty LOW - especially when you compare it to the airlines. LOL!
  24. Has anyone tried to rent ebikes while visiting Nassau? If so, is there a company you would recommend or not recommend?
