  1. I have flown out of FLL 4 or 5 times over the past couple/three years...earliest fight time was 9:45am, latest was 11:30 and in January my time is 10:45...never had an issue. I will grant that the last two were December & January post Covid and the ships weren't full...about 2/3rds perhaps...but the others were full. Self assist and never had a problem.
  2. The current ads for Amex cracks me up...want something, it's not if, but when so buy it, you have the power with the Amex card. Reality, the bill will come due and they do want you to pay it.
  3. My first block is going to be on the Odyssey cruise in January and I will be going to the C&A desk early to see if I can get one while on board.
  4. So here is a question for those much more experienced....Icon goes on sale tomorrow only for C&A...can I see it online or can only TAs see it?
  5. I never considered that the kids on cruises while school is in session are likely homeschooled. I will now.
  6. Congratulations on the golden 50! Hope y'all have an awesome time and a safe trip home.
  7. We took an UberXL on our last cruise from Miami. With three people and luggage I would not go smaller than the XL.
  8. Checked all 3 2023 cruises...no JS available on the January, April was more than we paid and September was $17 less.
  9. It might be more family friendly but we usually try to avoid cruising during times when the kids are out of school.
  10. Not for us....lol...we always take a January cruise and already have our 2023 booked. Editing...we booked our 1/2023 in December 2021...we booked a 9/2023 last month...and we are looking at our January 2024 now.
  11. In Lauderdale we have never had a problem with getting off and to the airport early. We actually took a flight out at 10 one time and in January our flight out of FLL is scheduled at 10:55am.
  12. I see that the price is 112 pp on the 3NDP on our January cruise as well. Post Covid we have done the 3NDP on 4 cruises. The lowest price was either 69 or 79 pp and the highest was 99. Always do Chops as we really enjoy it. Will not do the next on Odyssey as we have CK and will just do Izumi hibachi with friends. If the price is right might do one on Wonder in April.
  13. Always have a balcony for fresh air...and we leave the fresheners at home.
  14. Booking thru Next my September 2023 JS Allure cruise was $300 less than with Costco. My Next booking netted me 150 in onboard credit and a 200 down. Not sure what kind of gift card I would get from Costco had I booked with them. I do know my TA takes over the booking immediately after I completed it.
  15. Being landlocked all our cruises result in airfare. Fortunately, we are able to fly SWAIR out of Nashville. Texas and Florida are fairly short 2 to 2 1/2 hour flights as we book early enough to get non stop. But Florida is expensive in the winter while Texas is a bit less. Our April cruise on Wonder will be a new experience, new ship and never traveled to the port out of Orlando.
  16. October 2021 was early in the Post Covid return...I would recommend contacting them as I believe your family member is no longer in the queue.
  17. BTDT and the earlier time should work out fine. You have a better chance of your flight leaving later, March still has weather delays from flights that originate out of the north, than your ship not arriving early enough.
  18. It was an option when I got my passport at an additional charge. I always take both jic but generally leave the book in the safe.
  19. Yes, Ruby Abaya was the C&A Loyalty on Liberty in September. Very nice, knowledgeable and did a wonderful job handling a problem. I wish I could right a wrong...I failed to drop a tip off to her and it has bugged me since we left. Do you know if that is her email address or just one that is routed to the main office C&A department?
  20. Are you familiar with the passport card? It is just like a drivers license but with all your passport information on it. We leave the passport in the safe and carry that when traveling.
  21. True but we have been told that passports are good in certain ports so we carry a passport card jic.
  22. We are going there in January as well...and it will be our first time. Looking forward to it but also curious about the feedback from those who know.
  23. That's a sad thing as that area was the only reason to visit Baltimore.
  24. Wow...I was very surprised to see this discussion had progressed to a second page.
