I thought that if you booked for two people but changed it to a solo before final payment due , you would get double points. Is this not correct t?

So if you book a cabin for two. Pay for two. Then have to cancel one person two things happen: 1. You get a refund for the port charges for the one person- good 2. The other person does not get double C&A points unless you rebook at the current rate? This seems very unfair.

If you are D+ but travelling solo, would you get one free specialty restaurant meal because you bought another one? (Ie. two specialty meals on different days for the price of one). Or does this benefit disappear when solo?

So I have a bad back and my morning routine is 30 mins of heating pad then a series of stretches then a short walk/run. This gets me mobile for the day. It seems they don’t allow heating pads but do allow things like CPAP machines. If I brought a doctor’s note stating the heating pad is part of medical treatment (it is) would that get a heating pad aboard? Any other suggestions? Thanks for the answers.

Okay, I buy the 3 meal deal. The first meal must be a courtesy reservation on day 1 or 2 (my case they gave me day 2 at 5:30 pm). Fine so far. But nowhere on my account does it say which of the three specialty restaurants is reserved for me. How can I select my restaurant of choice (Izumis)?

What is the lowest price anyone has seen for Chef’s Table lately? I have also heard that once onboard if CT sales are lagging you could get a lower price. True or false? Finally, does the pre cruise price for Chef’s Table include the 18% gratuity or would it be added to your account the day of?

Okay math time. If you are solo you get double points (2 x day). If you booked solo during the double points incentive, you get quadruple points (4 x day). If you Royal up on a solo booking that has double points already, as long as it is the same reservation number, you would get (8 x day) points?

Just to clarify, if you get royaled up, you simply change rooms. You do not lose FCCs or OBCs associated with the original booking?

Thanks for the response Matt. I have asked Royal directly as well but no answer yet. It is very unsettling to go on a cruise with such a question mark hanging over the end of the cruise/return to home plan.

On return to port in Ft. Lauderdale on March 6th, we are required to have a negative PCR test in order to fly to Canada that afternoon. I have heard Royal offers this at the port for a fee. But I have also heard it is a sketchy setup. Has anyone had experience with this? What is the cost? How fast did you get the result? Would you trust this method? I don’t get why they won’t offer this service for a fee aboard the ship the day before disembarkation.
