Mine opened today @OCSC Mike I thought it might because the app entertainment page started showing the "snag" message yesterday and the planner on the website was slow and blinking.

I think I'd push for a refund of the difference in price between the beach bed and the clamshell loungers since those don't come with any extras. That is essentially what you got, for 2 people only.

How/where is the extra space in the bathroom? It also looks like you got that totally circular shower rather than the one that is just rounded/semi-circle, is that right? I'm looking at that bright white spot at the edge. Did they create a little triangular pocket of space where it meets the wall? I hated that on Allure because it grew mold...

Yes, prices are super high right now on all travel. We have to cruise during peak times because of school schedules. In order to get the lowest flight price at decent times this year (which is still double what it was a few years ago), we are flying from an airport 1.5 hours away instead of the one 15 minutes away, we're flying one airline into FLL and then flying a different airline back from MIA. All other choices were 3x and 4x more. Our hotel has not-great reviews (the Homewood Suites - I do Hilton loyalty when I can and need a suite with the 2 teens) and I just repriced it for $325 down from $375. After our March sailing, we're taking a break from cruising for a while and switching to land vacations for the next few years. International flights don't seem to have gone up as much as domestic flights. @asquared17 I think that you have just the right amount of luggage. Although bringing outside food onto a cruise, I don't know about that And you have not had a very auspicious start to your trip... I hope it gets better!!!

How do you all think teens would fare on this ship, particularly compared to Oasis class (or Quantum class)? I know the water park would be a hit for many of them, but other than that, is most of the other stuff in tot town for the littles? If you're a poor/peasant/plebian, what neighborhood might most appeal to them?

But, I will say that the pattern I've had the last two times is that you'll see something funky in the morning, like a blank page, or some error, and then later, the reservation page actually appears.

We're done for a while after our March cruise. Between cruise fares and flight prices, we'd rather spend on land vacations.

One suggestion to get around possible theft would be to just use small, boring magnets to pin up paper/laminated signs. I see some cute ones on Ebay (I thought people might have used ones, but seems to be mostly new). Amazon has some too.

Not exactly the same thing, but in the main page article today: "We're always modernizing," said Liberty, "...the actions we took of Oasis [and] some of the learnings on Icon [are] going to be in the modernization of Allure of the Seas."

I agree! I don't think you need to delete this post - we have little "asides" all the time on the threads of this board. And I agree - because of support by people like @WAAAYTOOO, this one is much more kind than other sites. I'm on another cruise board and it feels like every conversation ends up with someone being critical/attacking, then someone disagreeing, then the heat turns up, names get called, etc. etc. So much better over here.

I'm surprised it starts at 14 - are there a lot of teens on your sailing? When we did Allure, it started at 12. This library does not look cozy to me at all. I could not curl up with a good book feeling like the other side of the room is staring at me. The furniture is nice, but it looks like a boardroom sans table and speakerphone.

I saw this on Symphony a few months ago and in the regular booking spot, not even in RUB. There was a period of a few days where the large balcony was less to book initially than the regular balcony.

Just put it in your checked bag if flying and more then 3 oz - we had to throw honey away once as it was considered a "liquid". I'd bag it as well in case of a pressure issue.

Yes (at least confirmed on Allure) - we used our magnetic hooks to hang some of our formal wear from the ceiling during showers to steam some of the wrinkles.

So there's South Side/North Side battles on the ship??
