Anyone know yet if this is a full cruise? 
Officially on vacation we took tomorrow off.  An hour drive Thursday and heading straight to use my drink package!  

Anyone have their reserved HIRO show on Day 3 moved to a different date?  My group of 14 did and now our group has been split into 2 different dates!  Some of us were moved to Day 5 and some to Day 6…
Hopefully we will be able to fix this once onboard Thursday!  

Something I just discovered a few days ago: If you have the Royal App, under 'Tap for boarding tips', you will find the night's attire, including White Night, Formal, Caribbean and 70's Night. I thought that was kind of cool. I never knew that info was there and I've been using the App for years!!

Saw someone wearing those on our last cruise - hilarious! 🤣

My brother and his family just got off Icon yesterday. They said there were a lot of kids but the amount wasn’t the issue. They’re used to kids as they work in the school system. The issue was that there was little parental supervision which interfered with their enjoyment, like small kids climbing on their lounge chairs or in between their legs while at the pool. They were all over the Swim-up bar and crowding out the hot tubs. And speaking of the pool, it was their impression that the ‘poop’ was from an adult, not a child. Having said that, they did have a great time and would go again. My niece said she would definitely book a Suite the next time. It was a much quieter atmosphere on the Suite Sundeck. A family friend onboard was booked in a suite and let her have a peek. She’s hooked now!!

My brother and his family just got off Icon yesterday…they all did Crown’s Edge. It includes a video of your experience. Not sure if you can get any other merchandise though. They said it was a blast!!

We went on maiden voyage and had the time of our life.  Wy wife wants to know when we can go again.  Hope everyone sours on Icon so the prices drop. 🤪

starting in 2024 you will need an ETIAS visa waiver to enter Europe. Once you are in you will not need anything other than your passport for any country listed.

Sailed Azamara just after the sale was announced and early post Covid.  Was pleased with the experience.  Small ship (Quest) with about 380 crew and around 600 guests, but we sailed with about 300..   Food and service was excellent.  Smaller number of people allowed them to be pretty creative in presentation and menu complexity.   Even had a mid-night chocolate buffet one night (but it was a holiday sailing).   You got to recognize / know much of the crew and even many of the guests.  Thought the food was above what was offered by Celebrity.  Entertainment venues more intimate.   The performers will engage more with the guests as they also carry on additional duties to help with on-board activities.   The cruise director and staff are also part of the talent pool.   Small ship is easily to get around.   Small boutique elevators.  Azamara is big on excursions and providing guests with lectures on various destinations.   Discussed history, politics etc of the destinations.   Offered classes such as water color and cooking classes (included).    Basic rates include a basic drink package.  No casino or toys.  Largest library that I've seen at sea.  On board self laundry is also available as many of the cruises are multiple weeks long.   Also had a BBQ on deck one night with  charcoal grills and real flames one night.   Not used to seeing that on a ship.  Command crew out and about and seen all the time.  Officers would help out in the buffet or outdoor activities - didn't see any egos - just wanted to make everyone happy.  Will sail them again.  I want to seen if it's still as pleasant as before being sold by RCL.  I thought the pricing with the offered perks of drinks and internet to be at a very attractive price point at the time.   Starting to research them again for something in 2026.   Early pricing is pretty good 2 yrs out.

I haven't sailed Azamara and they are no longer part of the RCG family.  

Sadly I have nothing to contribute about Azamara, but I do have to say that getting the chance to see the Grand Prix in Monte Carlo would be pretty amazing!

Azamara is in the same luxury class as Oceania.  Much more affordable but still very upscale.  Silversea, Regent, & Seabourn (amongst others) are considered ultra-luxury and their prices show it.  I’ll probably never see Silversea. 🥲
