SWFL Cruisers got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Vision of the Seas - Dec 26, 2022 - 11 Night Southern Caribbean Holiday Cruise
Greetings from Bonita Springs Florida! We are Dave & Deanna and we are looking forward to enjoying New Years on a cruise. We usually sail over Christmas too however, our adult children made us promise to stay home with them and the grandkids for Christmas. Well knowing we had some FCC to use up, we found this one, on the 26th, the day after, WINNER! We are looking forward to meeting more cruise friends and enjoying this cruise. Cheers!

SWFL Cruisers got a reaction from PPPJJ-GCVAB in Celebrity Eclipse--Am I going to wish I sailed RC
I used to sail RCL until I tried Celebrity.........that was 20 cruises ago. Most folks don't go back (unless you have kids) once they sail Celebrity.

Another vote for Park N Go. If you book it online you get a nice discount too.

SWFL Cruisers got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Mask Policy Update / Casino Smoking ban - received this email today (Jan. 20, 2022)
My Bride and I sailed on the Mariner a couple of months ago and it reaffirmed why we love Celebrity. We did have a great cruise however, even when the casino was closed there were many folks in there smoking. Our favorite hangout spot is the Schooner Bar and the stench coming from the casino was horrible most of the time. I have nothing against peoples right to choose to smoke (I quit 25 years ago but still enjoy an occasional cigar) but I prefer they do it outside.

This is the main reason we mostly sail on Celebrity. We love RCL however, we love no smoking anywhere inside more.

SWFL Cruisers reacted to BillyB in Shorts in MDR?
Just off Mariner last week. I am the type who will respect the dress codes and hope they will enforce it ..... But could care less what others do and care even less if others don't like that I dress casual. I checked with the dining room staff before showing up for dinner and they assured me shorts were fine. I skipped formal night in MDR out of respect for the tradition but I do believe they were fine with dress shorts on formal night also. Windjammer was closed for dinner on my cruise but there were less than 1000 passengers. I did not have to make reservations for breakfast or lunch .... But had a standing rez for dinner and they seated me at the same table each night

I was on RCL'S Odyssey last week. Please save yourself from carrying unnecessary luggage. Most of us were dressed down the entire week. No one is doing it the before pandemic way.....Relax and enjoy!

On a weekend Mariner sailing, no problem at all. Great ship, great staff, and typically very casual.

Modern cruising, the crew certainly arent going to call you out on shorts as long as they dont like garbage.
I didnt even bring shoes on my Mariner cruise this past weekend, shorts, polo and sandals every night in the MDR.
