  1. I just got off Oasis on the 3rd. Masks are required in all public areas of the ship except when eating/drinking, swimming, or posted otherwise as a strictly vaccinated area. The shows advertised as vaccinated (v*, on the cruise planner) don't require the mask but many still wore theirs. In the Bahamas masks are required everywhere unless eating or on the beach and there is still a curfew but the ship was long gone before the curfew. I cannot speak for getting on in a Florida port but in NJ you must have your mask on in the line even outside or they will let you know and have no problem telling you to leave. In shows and in various areas of the Bahamas be prepared to be asked to use hand sanitizer before entering or getting on ferrys.
  2. LOL, that is funny you mentioned the jet ski. I just snorkeled around the rocks at Coco Cay but I noticed the divers walking into the water then later being pulled by jet ski. I wondered what that was all about!
  3. My mother and I just did the seaweed wrap and 75 minute massage on Oasis. They rope you in with the raffles but the rate was $229 plus gratuity, online the cheapest I saw was $239. On the first day they added an additional 25 minutes, plus did an oil scalp treatment, hot stone massage for about 5 minutes, and just generally worked me over. My neck and shoulder are out so it helped for the first two days.
  4. I joked that we should just park in the apartment complex up the road and Uber to the cruise port. I no longer have family in the area to park in their drives!
  5. Wish I saw this sooner, I have extra. I know it's a bit late but if you still need them she can have them
  6. @Jkaczano Saw the Aqua 80 last night, while I loved some of the musical selections I had to wear ear plugs. I don't know how you guys could stand the decibel levels in your suite! Will msg you on Friday about a tour.
  7. Funny thing, it was not cancelled until 8:00P, three hours after we sailed. LOL
  8. I've been checking all day on the Royal Up and it says pending, the ship is leaving in 20 minutes and it STILL says pending. I've asked guest services they say they have no control and it's a 3rd party. I've talked to 2 other guest services as well as next cruise consultant and they say it's in house. Lol I know the normal. Really though shouldn't the royal up have expired by now?
  9. On this note, we are on Oasis tomorrow and my Royal Up is still pending. LOL
  10. We are on Oasis on Sunday, and I remember reading someone say that on some ship they were offered to go b2b for a very good price. Anyone know how good of a price or can give examples? Thanks!
  11. I signed up for Voom Surf package but got to wondering if I need the upgraded one to get on my zoom conference? I read other posts about the internet being spotty and taking forever so I thought I would ask the pros. Thanks!
  12. Well shoot. Since it will not get quad points I see no point in paying extra for the Jr Suite Royal Up from the Spacious Balcony Cabin my mom and I are sharing. It pays to read the fine print.
  13. Per the RCL faq page there are discounts on suites etc for the different Crown and Anchor tiers. Is there is a set % or an average? Would like to see how much a grand suite might compare to a balcony for an anniversary trip. Thanks!
  14. I've been in interior, never going back. I've been in oceanview, is okay I think for a Bermuda cruise where you are overnight in port or longer. Oceanview is good because you will be on shore the most. I have my first balcony booked in 22 days, price was about $1000 per person, I've decided I'm never going back to anything other than balcony for the sheer fact of fresh air. Jan 2023 I have a two bedroom grand suite booked on Enchantment of the Seas for 12 days. This does not have the same perks as the Oasis class suites I found out but it still has some perks. I booked this room because we are going with my parents and my father has limited mobility, and sometimes due to PTSD can't be around large crowds. With the suite, it gives him and Mom their own room, their own bathroom with just a shower, the balcony(Which is much larger due to location), plus if Dad doesn't want to go to the dining room, room service is included. Since there is a central living area we can play cards, watch tv, read and not feel like we are stuck in our bedrooms. I think it ended up being $2500 per person including tax, tips, and insurance.
  15. Thanks. I'm going to ride it out since we paid the deposit already. The deposit per RCL is non refundable but we could make changes with a $100 per person fee. However, I am going to contact someone else for another trip or two we are planning. May I email you?
  16. @DanielB Hello neighbor! We are in East Central/South Ohio. Zanesville.
  17. I decided to use a TA on a cruise in 01/23. The TA has been in business for 32 years but when I booked it through her it was the same price and same everything I had found. She has not been the best at follow up with questions I've had , and when I tried to get an annual insurance plan for travel she conferenced me in with someone and come to find out the TA did not have the facts straight. So far I'm not happy. I'm thinking I need someone else.
  18. Thanks from a fellow Ohioan that is cruising on 9/26. We will be in NJ and instead of attempting to schedule etc, I am going to buy the Binax ones but I will look at a local library first. When I looked online our library system did not have it but I will check back. See you on the seas..
  19. My January 2023 cruise has a non refundable deposit but I guessed it was because it was in a two bedroom grand suite on Enchantment.
  20. We are on the 9/26 sailing and the rep I spoke to on the phone said, "While not official", from everything she reads coming through RCL the ship will be at about 40%.
  21. Maybe we will see each other on board! I'm on the 26th sailing as well with my mother, girl trip. 14th floor balcony. ? Safe travels.
  22. @Jkaczano I don't think I saw it listed but if you are driving and parking in Bayonne/Cape Liberty parking at the cruise port is $25 per day. The 15.95 location still is listed as closed due to COVID so no clue what is going on with that one. We are driving in as well and since I no longer have family in Bayonne we will have to pay for parking at the terminal on the 26th so add that additional $175 to the total!
  23. LOL nope. Mom has no interest in going under the water. She plans on staying on the beach. I may just do one of the one hour dives they have on Cocoa Cay. If not I will just snorkel.
  24. The pool we've been diving is 12' I've made it to the bottom but it takes some time. We will be in the 20' and deeper range in the quarry on Saturday and Sunday this week. Cocoa Cay is in 30 days so I may do that one on my own, hubby is not cruising with me. Just mom and I. The instructor does know I have trouble, so I am taking ibuprofen the night before as well as antihistamines to try and keep things open. I've been "popping" my ears every day trying to get them acclimated. LOL Thanks for the encouragement! It has been a dream to dive for nearly 30 years. Finally had the money and someone to do it with.
