If dressing up on a cruise ship for Halloween, with a costume involving a face mask, shall the N95 be worn over or under costume mask? If N95 is worn on top of costume mask, it will be easy to verify that protocols are being followed, but efficacy will be reduced. If N95 is worn under costume mask the efficacy will be normal but potentially onerous in lifting costume mask to verify compliance with protocols. Thoughts? Asking for a friend. Were I to be on a ship this Halloween I would be dressed as drunk (costume TBD) and to fulfill this character, actively drinking the entire night, making a N95 mask unnecessary per Royal Caribbean policy.

I go into trips thinking the same, then the drink package changes the situation.

I booked the day itinerary was released 12-5-2020. Price was incredibly low for an A1. Now that the ship is Wonder the price is unbelievable. I think I will hold the record for cheapest Wonder A1 for several years. The price for an A1 was triple for the Wonder March and April Caribbean sailings.

I kept A1 two bedroom from Allure to Wonder. Two other families traveling with mine had 2 bedroom grand suites on Allure and given Junior suites, maintain sky class benefits and $300 on board credit. They are both traveling with kids, making a Junior suite a challenge for total space and separate/quiet area for kids. Looking at deck plans, Wonder does not have connecting suites. There is one Junior suite on deck 6 starboard which connects to a balcony. This combo has been requested. Both families are likely cancelling.

Did a quick count. Allure has 88 suites grand and above. Wonder has 60. Shortly before ship change announcement there were 7 suites grand or above available on Allure for June 5, 2022. By this math there were 21 Allure grand suite or above reservations who will be downgraded to Junior Suite. A family traveling with me who had a two bedroom grand suite on Allure were offered Wonder Junior suite or refund. Bummer.

Retaining the benefits is crucial. Room will be smaller and less extravagant. $300 credit will cover an excursion. Given the ability to sail on the newest ship, I’d be content with your situation. I priced a large balcony with 4 guests now that ship is Wonder and the price was only $2K less than I paid for 2 bedroom Aqua when it was Allure. That said, if there are any grand suites left after reacccomodations are made, I think you will find the price is higher than what you paid for Star Loft.

My suite was switched today from Allure to Wonder. So the process is underway. Prior to ship change announcement, there was very limited suite inventory.

My reservation updated today. I went from Allure A1 to Wonder A1. Very pleased with situation.

I would be reluctant to spend money just for points. Consider the ship and itinerary to decide if amenities a Junior suite provides are worth the premium over a balcony. As an aside, for some, suites are like a black hole. Once you cross the event horizon it is not possible to see lesser cabins as an option.

Maybe switching the ship from U.S to metric system? 2 meters is more than 6 feet for social distancing. Also casino changes for the Euro?

I heard that the Aqua show cast is required to each perform a high dive during sea trial emergency maneuvers to validate their jump timing. This is conducted to avoid the scenario of an unvalidated high diver missing the pool during an audience attended show.

Based on the departure times for the itineraries above, Wonder of the seas is not only larger than Allure but also 30 minutes faster to complete a transatlantic transit.

The Royal App didn’t work during the sea trial. P C Load Letter error Engineers will be taking the ship back out to sea and test again soon.

I can confirm this information. I spoke with both my agent and Royal Caribbean representative in Crown and Anchor. Process will take up to two weeks. I have two friend families who were in 2 bedroom grand suites on Allure which Wonder does not have. I will report back what transpires for those on the blog wanting the full “scoop”
