Who or what is "Super Mario"? The only thing I that comes to mind wears red suspenders and hops on angry mushrooms and flying turtles!

For us, it was the fact that our daughter is too old for the Disney Clubs now. If she were younger, we would still be doing Disney cruises. But with her being over 18, and a fan of pools, it makes more sense for us to switch to RCL, which has more pools.

That makes me so sad since my cruise on Vision was cancelled due to them repositioning/sailing out of Bermuda!

Heard a federal judge ruled that the CDC exceeded its authority for blocking landlords from evicting. Any thoughts from people smarter than me if a similar ruling against the cruise line restrictions are a possibility.

If you are considering the drink package if all 5 are in one cabin you all have to get the drink package if anyone buys it. By going with two cabins if you have any non-drinkers you could put them in one cabin and the drinkers in another cabin so this can save a bunch if not everyone wants the drink package.
There aren't a lot of 1R or 1K cabins so availability isn't great and some dates are already sold out in June 2022.
There may be group rates available to travel agents to help with the cost a bit compared to direct from Royal.
There is only one 1R spacious interior cabin for all of June and that's on June 11,2022.
There are five 1k spacious ocean view cabins but only on June 4, 2022.
Any other dates and you will need two cabins.
I'd highly recommend using a travel agent.
@twangster That was a super impressive rundown of pretty much everything! You are like a cruise genie!

Welcome @Modemer! Are you using a travel agent? If not, you definitely should! They can usually get you the best price and/or a little extra in terms of on board credit or what not. One of the things I did not realize on my first few sailings that I wish I had known sooner!

Fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread COVID-19. However, international travel poses additional risks and even fully vaccinated travelers are at increased risk for getting and possibly spreading new COVID-19 variants.
CDC recommends delaying international travel until you are fully vaccinated.
I don't know...the fact that it says they recommend delaying international travel UNTIL fully vaccinated is encouraging to me. That combined with the "no need to self-quarantine after arriving in the U.S." seems to me like maybe they are ok with RCI's policy of only allowing vaccinated individuals to cruise.

Here is the situation:
We booked a cruise WAAAAAY back when, and of course it was cancelled. We got our 125% FCC, which was enough at the time to book TWO cruises (score!). However, one of those cruises as since been cancelled, and we requested a refund. Has anyone else had this happen and if so, how was the "cost" of the cruise determined? I just want to make sure we get back the full value of that cruise, particularly since part of the original FCC is tied up in the second cruise. Thanks!

I appreciate you giving us updates! Hopefully you are correct that once cruising starts again in North America, U.S. departures will be not too far behind.
-
We are planning on flying this time only because we have some unused flight tickets to get rid of from previous cancelled cruise plans. Usually we drive to the East Coast since we are only about 6 hours away.

I can't imagine they'd be leaving Baltimore. Not sure when the latest contract with the State of Maryland expires. Baltimore has been wildly successful because it's ease of access to the mid-west and the Ohio Valley --- not to mention the close proximity to two major markets, plus a third (Philadelphia) right up the road. It's possible, the ship may be changing. Vision and Radiance Class ships can fit in Baltimore.
As one of those mid-west/Ohio Valley residents...I approve this message! Hopefully things are good to go by September for our Baltimore departure....

Excellent points Twangster! Also, think about how many people FLY in the U.S. per week. They don't need to follow CDC guidance. They aren't being tested prior to boarding. So why is cruising, which is a fairly closed system, being prevented from operating, yet airlines, subways, trains, etc which take people all over the country, being allowed to operate? I get one is for commerce, and the other for recreation, but even Disney is open so the argument is very flimsy in my opinion.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. My daughter is in the same boat since she just turned 18 and we weren't able to cruise last summer when she was 17 (thanks COVID).

Good evening!
I am SUPER excited that we just checked in for our 28 March cruise yesterday. After prior COVID cancellations, I actually have a good feeling about this one! When I checked in, there was not an option to select an arrival time online. When I tried to go in on the app, I can see an option to "Select a start time for your required wellness check" but get an error each time I try to click on it. Has anyone had any success in getting an arrival time yet, or does anyone have a workaround for this issue? Thank you for your help!

I would! My husband and I both went through COVID with barely any symptoms.
-
That's surprising. I had a similar question about our FCC when we went to rebook our cruise and had some extra. Less than a week ago my travel agent said that our 17-year old daughter's remaining FCC could be transferred to me since she was under 21. I would recommend calling again until you get a different answer.

We have a cruise planned at the end of July. Unfortunately, my husband's passport will be expired by then and according to the State Department, we aren't likely to get a replacement any time soon. Does anyone know if he can disembark in St. Maartin with his birth certificate and photo ID? Thank you in advance!
Specific day of the week check-in opens?

Good evening fellow travellers!
We are 62 days out from our cruise, but check in still hasn't opened. I know it is hit or miss right now with when check in opens, but does anyone know if they tend to start check in on a specific day of the week right now? I just want to know if I can stop obsessively checking EVERY day of the week.
As a weird aside, Royal Up is open for my cruise, but not check in...ah well!
