  1. I'm just waiting and waiting to see how august will go. Which ships will sail? The amount of angry customers who think their sailing just to find out last minute nope all navigator cruises are canceled were jsut doing mariner sailings , is going to be horrendous

Disney has stopped taking reservations for trips till the end of the year citing that what they sold may already reach the new capacity.

I'd expect royal to do the same thing for their ships. I can see them still taking it month to month though of course their going to want to sail as many as they can. Expect alot more angry posts on these boards on the first of the months

I had a thought today about coco cay. Having two ships there seems to be a bad idea anymore. Lines for the thrill tower slides get lengthy. Pool bars at most all inclusives have no been closed. The main food there is a buffet. What they do with this port will be very interesting as most have two ships anymore

A vaccine was in development, but the virus burned out before it was available.

I expect something similar with Covid

Precisely this. It's just the way viruses work. The go away they come back they go away they come. This one has been dying down since April. Yes it's worse then the regular flu but I can all but guarantee that if there is a new wave in the fall we will not quarantine like we did these last few months. It won't happen. Yes the virus was deadly but it's long term effects on businesses and economies world wide is insane. Many will be suffering for a very long time.

    Hi, thanks for your reply!

Hopefully I have attached the right picture, this seems to be the only pricing I ever received, the other information I have just breaks down all the bits that are included in the package in more detail (flight times, hotel name etc) but doesn’t specify costings.

Not to worry if it doesn’t make any sense! Hurts my head even looking through it ?

So from this you'd subtract taxes, fees, port expenses, gratuity then multiply the answer.by 1.25. if this break down for just one person or whole group?

If it's more then one person then it will be wrong as each person on the booking gets their own credit.

  4. We bring ours off...in the Bahamas we were asked for or passports to get back on the ship so I'd assume is like that at the other ports (you do not need to bring them off for coco cay and labadee tho)

Invest in a nice backpack that will strap on to a chair then have the zippers locked so no one can I get in. Pac safe has backpacks as well as mini safes to keep valuables in while you can't attend to them. Or a waterproof fanny pack. Yes I've seen them loads of times at beaches. I was so worried in Bahamas. But locked my beach bag to my chair and went to the ocean. No one bothered my items

    Hello!
This is my first time posting here but have been reading through the forum for a while.

I am wondering if anyone would have any advise on how to work out what the fcc should work out to be? We booked our cruise directly through royal caribbean (I’ve learned now my mistake!) for a sailing on allure in June as a package which included the cruise, flights & transfers but also included tickets to Portaventura theme park and 2 nights stay in the resort hotel. I still can’t seem to get any answers as to if the themepark tickets are refundable. As we booked this as a package I’m not sure on what the individual costs are. After reading through this thread I’m wary of the breakdown that eventually comes!

If you can post a picture of your cruise fare break down I will attempt to tell you what your FCC should be as mine turned out to be what I expected it to be from my calculations

As for the hotel and theme park tickets I'd assume they will just be a straight refund. I can't imagine that they wouldn't be. But of course a dreaded phone call to rc would be the only way to weed that one out. Sounded like a ton of fun!

  6. I brought everything that had for my canceled may cruise

    Dbp

    The key

    Thrill water park

Will book observtorium it's not offered right now and who knows if it will be.

Decided to also get a bungalow in labadee

Still have $500 left over after the great memorial day sale. I've saved hundreds.

Not sure what we're going to do. Maybe by a dinner at izumi, wings and such at playmakers, maybe breakfast or lunch room service ?‍♀️ I don't want to load up my days with pre planned stuff.

I'm sorry, I got that... I'm strictly referring to the 18% gratuity that is tacked on when you buy the DBP.

Will it be 125% of the total including the gratuity ($421.26/person) OR 125% of just the DBP cost ($357.00/person) and we receive CC refund of gratuity ($64.26/person).

Just curious as they usually refund gratuities (eg. pre-paid gratuities) back to original form of payment (CC).

    Thanks!

125% off the total of anything you brought so its be off the 421

    Quick question!

When calculating the 125% OBC, how do they treat the gratuity paid toward the DBP?

Is the gratuity refunded separately back to your CC or simply counted as part of the total amount spent in their 125% OBC calculation?

I'm just trying to keep track of all the transactions!

    Thanks!

It's 125% of your total amount spent. It's not 125% of each seperate item. So if you brought 1 dbp then it's 125% of that

If your brought the dbp, the key, a cabana then it's 125% off the total price of all of them combined

    @Ian T I'd say something because I got my $75 obc back.

We got our today and the total correct, however what they did was take the total we spent, multiplied by 1.25 and then divided by three, the total for our party. So we all got the same amount. Now when I go to apply this to our upcoming cruises, my wife is customer #1 so always pays the most, I'm number 2 and pay less, and my son pays even less. SO my wife will not have enough to cover her portions while my son will have too much. I thought we were each supposed to get 1.25 of our individual exspenses.

Yep it is how is suppose to be calculated. They did ours like that too. We both got the same amount. But it worked for us. I upgraded to a Junior suite to soak up the credits and paid the difference

Possibly delay departure times as well so there is more time to spread out check in.  Instead of sailing at 4pm, sail at 8pm and enforce check in times to avoid a spike early in the day.

Doubt they can do as late as 8pm can you imagine stopping people from eating dinner just to do muster drill. Not to mention the drinking all day

  11. Just an FYI people the sales are so great this weekend atleast compared to my last cruise. I got everything we we wanted and had for our last cruise (only exception is I added a beach bungalow at labadee) and I still have $400 to kill. I may finally get that spa massage ??

We want to do the excape room but I'm thinking that may be on hold for awhile not sure they want people gathering in closed spaces touching a bunch of stuff just yet

It dropped down to $12.99/day for my Oct cruise (I snagged it at $16.99 about 6 months ago).  I should cancel and rebook but I'm still waiting for my money to come back from something I canceled two weeks ago (not long, I know, but I kind of only want to do one at a time so I can keep track of them, lol).

Same 20.99 till 12.99 for my October cruise I nearly passed out I never see it that low

    Update....

Updated email for corrected FCC came thru today......

Still completely wrong after a 2nd try.

    (Face palm)

Really?! We got ours last week from our TA but actually gotan email from royal today with the credit too so did my brother in law.

Finally right after only giving us $800 the last time

Thanks, I got through on the phone a few days ago.  I posted my experience on a diff thread, but basically they told me I had to email someone to get it applied.  I asked to speak to a supervisor and they got it applied immediately.  Go figure...

I had some items I cancelled on my cruise planner as I was going to use this credit instead.  Usually when we cancel online it takes 5-10 days to refund to my CC.  Well, after 15 days I called again this morning and they said now it’s going to take 45 days.  Very annoying...

I highly recommend using this credit at the sale price you are comfortable with because trying to get them to make an adjustment if it goes on a deeper sale is going to be a nightmare.

I am hoping to see some decent cruise planner sales this weekend.

If you cancel something you brought with obc it automatically credits back your credit so no worries about having to wait.

I still haven’t gotten through on the phone.  (Life got in the way).  Anyone know what the story is?  We just call and have them apply the certificates to a particular reservation and then we go online and book cruise planner items?  Or do we have to call them every time we want to purchase an item?

Option 1 would be significantly easier as things go on sale at different times.

Current you call and they apply it all to your cruise planner account and you use it like traditional obc. Very simple. I had to wait 2 and a half hours on hold though

  16. Update on FCC...guess I spoke too soon as I was on hold with royal about my cruise planner credit and got notification that I received my full future cruise credit! So that's resolved

Okay update for applying your Future Cruise Planner Credit!!

You have to call to get the total added to your account. Once you call and they add it it's much like regular on board credit. It shows up right in your cruise planner. Forgot to ask what happens if you cancel and rebook (if you find a cheaper price during a sale) as I was on hold for 2 hours and 30 minutes but I'm sure someone will have the answer to that.

All in all good day and I was able to snag a beach bungalows on Columbus cove for labadee Haiti!

  17. Well called last night got right through just to be told may 30/31 for my correction to come through. Agent was not sure why anyone got an email saying 5/14 and doesn't have any note in my reservation indicating I received an email. Ill just wait till may 31 and hope royal doesn't cancel more sailings.

Can I also add how ridiculous it is that for my planner credit I have to call to reserve things. Silly me thought the phone number provided was something special for jsut the cruise planner bookings. Nope  it's the regular number. I've been on hold for an hour jsut to buy stuff that I could have clicked and brought in seconds online. How dumb not to jsut give us on board credit and let us book ourselves. Nope let's jsut add to the already insane call times
