Got off the ship in Nassau last week the area is amazingly different and updated. If you had taken me there blindfolded and removed the blindfold I wouldn’t be able to guess what port I was at. Looking forward to more positive changes.

On the Presidents cruise Michael Bayley confirmed kids are granted access to the solarium during cold weather. Any restrictions were not mentioned. celebrity announced kids will be permitted in the solarium on Alaska, The Balkans and Antarctica-I imagine in cold weather (said because I sailed Alaska in 80 degree heat). The hours are 5pm-7pm. Dinner time-so may not impact too many adults. Ho to next cruise and ask to be put on the call list if those sailings drop. they can book you and you can keep the TA you are currently traveling under (if you are) or do the form to remove that TA from the booking (ask for the form) And then either A)put the new TA on the booking OR B) leave it with Royal and you’ll have 30 days to get the TA on the booking.(TA Does that) or buy an open reservation-let your TA do the booking. (See above about removing any TA if needed when buying that open booking). Don’t use the app for open bookings-it will automatically go to TA on file. Not so sure you can get that group rate if you do the above…..perhaps a real TA here can weigh in. problem I see, if your TA is booking and you don’t know it and then you are booking….youll be booked twice. i should imagine there will be wifi at a port that you can make calls. Download WhatsApp which allows wifi calling if you can’t connect in the port. Maybe your phone provider has service in your ports?

I think their current system is “working” for them. I don’t see any complaining in the Facebook pinnacle groups of not getting entry. Doesn’t mean they aren’t complaining though. As a new Pin I don’t see any communication regarding “you have entry” to the concierge lounge-but on my second 1/2 of the B2B where I made Pin on week1 I was told I’d have access when the C&A ambassador changed my seapass card from blue to gold. This was a smaller ship I suspect she never would have told me otherwise though, as she never mentioned I could get breakfast in Chops. Doesn’t really matter to me anyway, I sleep past the breakfast time, I really don’t go to the lounges-hardly did as D/D+ and I hardly use the 6 free drinks since I get free drinks in the casino due to my casino status. just sailed solo but met up with a friend so I never thought to go try and see if I could get into the suite lounge (doubtful on Anthem as a newbie). Maybe I’ll try on my next sailing!-if I remember. I’ll also try and remember to ask the C&A if there’s a formula.

I think the answer has been found. By creating a new class they can bump the price of the next class. they probably rely on ignorant people booking the “better” JS or they’ll settle for this “less expensive JS” as opposed to the expensive GS.

Booked for NOLA next year January with my daughter. That leaves only Tampa that I’ve not scheduled or been to for as a US departure. I will however be ending a sailing there so at least I get to see it. can’t wait to see NOLA again, it’s been 10 years since I visited. How is the port? Ease of entry etc. I’m thinking of booking in the business/warehouse district which puts me a good walk away from the “nonsense”. Last time I stayed on Poydras St at Hampton Suites-loved it but they are full.

I imagine all those who reached Pinnacle felt the same….”took forever”.

That’s something to look forward to I’m booked on Odyssey next year-booked it 2 years ago due to the ridiculous price they had wanted for the following year cruise. The cost I had for an Anthem JS couldn’t get me a balcony. I’ll be trying out a regular OV for the first time on a Quantum class.(had a spacious OV once-way to much walking back and forth to the cabin) I didn’t mind the interior with the virtual balcony-I’m sure an OV should be fine.

I’ll be onboard. Fingers crossed. I’ve been on Anthem where we docked, no problem, but the other smaller ship could not.

I was on Anthem last week. someone just posted about the $2,000 price increase for the same week/same cabin category next year when they bring Odyssey to NJ. It can be argued that it’s a newer ship, but it’s also minus an indoor pool which means kids will be granted access to the solarium for set hours during the “cold “ days many on the post say they are looking at other cruise lines for next year. It will be interesting to see if Royal can get the prices they e set.

It’s been that way for a while Also, there is a luggage button that will magically appear-you click on it to select your desired departure time. Not sure which day it shows up but fairly early in the cruise

That’s what I thought. The person on my sailing is spending a night in Vancouver than going on Princess to avoid Royal “due to the PSVA”. (Their words) I purposely avoided the ship that would have put me on the B2B Hawaii/Alaska due to what I’ve read here. Thank you! I thought I missed something! I’d have gotten in a , or auto to cross the border and come back to the US and into Vancouver again if needed!,

Greetings Ive been reading the PSVA threads here and elsewhere and someone on my Hawaii cruise has put out a statement that has thrown me and now I need to know, am I good to go? Boarding Quantum in Hawaii-ending in Vancouver. Staying on land 4 days in Vancouver Boarding Radiance in Vancouver for a B2B -Vancouver to Seward then Seward to Vancouver-then heading home to the states. @twangster you seem well versed. Can you provide me why this is okay (if it is ) or, if it’s no good, is there a potential to fix this without dropping any of the cruises?

You would think’ I had a convo with the bar manager who said she was doing her best to scrounge and there were shortages. My words)….if she got something it was gone quickly. The next day I was in the casino before noon and looking for a Bloody Mary and they still only had Absolute-hard pass for me. it’s alright-I cut back on drinking-I’m sure my liver was happy. I believe I read somewhere each bar gets a budget for ordering? Don’t know if that’s true. Considering these things started to run out after Port Canaveral-where Anthem restocks-the running out made no sense.

Just got off Anthem. Waitstaff in the casino-non smoking area was practically nonexistent. (Was able to get one drink all week-and yes I do tip) Additionally the bar ran out of Belvedere, grey goose, Tito’s-in that order and that started midweek. They also ran out of other things. Perhaps this is the new way to not give out “free” drinks.

Thought about asking him to bless a few machines for me but didn’t ….

So a bishop walks into the casino bar…. I am currently on Anthem, today we saw a Catholic Bishop walk into the casino bar (really! Not a joke!). Someone spoke with him and apparently he had held mass on embarkation day (Sunday) and no one (or few)showed up. There were no announcements-apparently announced religious events don’t happen. now in the past , on other ships, I’ve seen a social board where these types of things are listed I’ve never noticed this board on Anthem, nor are there announcements to go look for this social events board. the Bishop will be giving ashes on Ash Wednesday, I shared that info on the FB group for our sailing, otherwise I’ve no idea how anyone would know. so-when you board maybe ask guest services the cruise director or look for the social events board and see if it’s posted.

Blue lagoon has been cancelled by Royal on February and March sailings. Not sure if it extends beyond that-I have no sailings to Nassau after that.

Contact your TA and make them aware. Keep an eye on your credit card statement they’ll likely charge you to zero out the refund mistake. If they don’t you’ll have a balance due , outside of what you already owe for final payment

Don’t know is this is true but…there is someone currently on Anthem who reported the commercials will be shown and there will be food. This allegedly came down a few days ago from Miami. I’m on the sailing too. I watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and my boxes. Hopefully there are commercials.
