Very intentionally not getting the internet package. In the normal world, I'm pretty much connected and on call 24/7. So one of the best moments of my cruise vacations is turning on that "I am out of the office and will not be checking email" notification.

Agree, here in the Midwest it is no longer "Can I get the vaccine"  but now it is "Do I want to get the Vaccine"

Maybe I can sue the un-vacinated for depriving me of my liberty and pursuit of happiness -JUST KIDDING - my warped sense of humor thought that statement was funny.

The math doesn't quite work out... You are assuming that all the people who have already had covid (including those that have no idea that they did) are not getting the vaccine now.

Spent a day at Magic Kingdom mid-week last week, and I agree - Disney is very good with doing all they can to keep people safe.  Airports, on the other hand... Ugh...

My take on this is as follows.  Being a frontline health care worker, I can definitely say I would have no problem wearing a mask, and would definitely welcome RCL enforcing people to wear masks while scientists try and figure out a vaccine.
I'm sure this will get some people charged up, but if a person is not wearing a mask they are just being selfish and unnecessarily putting others at risk.  I'm saying this, because of what we know of how the virus easily spreads now, there is no reason for people not to be wearing a mask.  I mean, what's the worst that could happen?  You die prematurely, right.  The virus has been shown to cause other medical problems for people.  Amputating limbs, etc. etc.

I guess I'm very different from most that have posted
    A. Yes - with the caveat that this is mainly when moving from space to space - one i get to my lounger that is 6 ft from the next one I would want to take it off.  yes i would have to put it on for a trip to the bathroom or bar.
    B. Yes
    C. NO - I know that the mask is not for my protection but to protect others from me - - look at the lack of voluntary social distancing at pool parties and beaches over memorial day, I just don't need those types of reckless people around me anytime and they will be there if its voluntary.
In regards to the quote above, "if I'm walking to and from somewhere on the ship and I encounter a large group, I'd prefer" THEY have a mask on as to not infect me.  Its not like they are Handing out N95 masks to the general public, cant even buy one

    Yes, yes, and yes.
In most places where masks are required in restaurants for dining in, the rules state "except when eating or drinking." I would assume the same would go for bars. Social distancing would be tricky, but Royal's smart -- they can figure it out.
I'm sorry, but if I'm walking to and from somewhere on the ship and I encounter a large group, I'd prefer to have a mask. Maybe it's because I'm just used to wearing one now without much of a second thought.
No, this doesn't make me weak. No, this doesn't make me "not a real man" (whatever the frick a "real man" is... ?) and no, it doesn't mean I'm living in fear.
What it does mean? I'm sailing and following any and all rules RCCL puts in place -- you know, like I always do when I'm sailing, or just generally being a member of society.

In that other thread you posted a graphic showing that 35% of all cases are asymptomatic.  These people don't know they are infected and never show any signs of the infection but carry the virus and spread it to others.
The other use case involves presymptomatic individuals.  These are people who have become infected but they haven't shown any symptoms yet but eventually do.
The source for the graphic quoted can be found on the CDC's website:
    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/planning-scenarios.html
    Asymptomatic carriers, overall 35%
Presymptomatic carriers 40% - with a mean time to show symptoms at 6 days.  For 6 days days people in this category have the virus and are capable of spreading it but have no idea they are infected.
The purpose of wearing the mask is to slow the spread from asymptomatic and presymptomatic carriers.  These are the individuals who don't know they are infected.
We need to reopen, we all see the devastating impact of shutting down the economy.  The virus isn't over so how do we reopen while the virus is still aggressively spreading?  The wearing of masks is a simple action that allows us to move forward and reopen more safely while taking steps to reduce spread resulting in fewer deaths.

On sea days, even though Adventure Ocean hours are 2-5 and 7-10 in the afternoon and evening, there's an option to leave kids at the AO at 5 (sign up for that the same day), and staff take them for dinner to Windjammer.  Our 5 year old loved that ?
