Not completely true... the first few rounds missed out (including our 5/31 sailing), but they added “Lift & Shift” to the last 2 rounds of cancellations as a third option along with 125% FCC and full refund. They may do the same going forward... no guarantee of course! We are in a similar situation with our 10/4 Oasis sailing... might have to move that one... tough decision! https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/05/20/royal-caribbean-will-cancel-all-sailings-through-july-31-due-coronavirus https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/06/02/royal-caribbean-cancels-2020-alaska-canadanew-england-and-hawaii-cruises

Ditto for us still... 125% FCC on 5/22 for our 5/31 sailing... nothing else to date.

Prepare to be wowed! Tremendous ships with so much more activity, entertainment and dining options. The neighborhood concept (Central Park, Boardwalk, etc.) is amazing! One thing to know (unless it changes across the fleet) is that you should really book your entertainment on Oasis class (and Quantum class I believe) ships prior to sailing for best selection of show times/dates (through Cruise Planner). The entertainment opens up usually 60-90 days prior to sailing in the CP. I remember on Freedom and Voyager class, we were assigned show times based on muster stations and never had to reserve shows. Have an amazing time! ?

No port fees, expenses and taxes refunded yet. Our cruise was a 5/31 sailing. No 125% CP OBC yet... we did get the 125% FCC on 5/22.

125% Cruise Planner Credit... finally!!!
JohnK6404 replied to Crazycruiser50's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I'm sorry, I got that... I'm strictly referring to the 18% gratuity that is tacked on when you buy the DBP. Will it be 125% of the total including the gratuity ($421.26/person) OR 125% of just the DBP cost ($357.00/person) and we receive CC refund of gratuity ($64.26/person). Just curious as they usually refund gratuities (eg. pre-paid gratuities) back to original form of payment (CC). Thanks! -
125% Cruise Planner Credit... finally!!!
JohnK6404 replied to Crazycruiser50's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Quick question! When calculating the 125% OBC, how do they treat the gratuity paid toward the DBP? Is the gratuity refunded separately back to your CC or simply counted as part of the total amount spent in their 125% OBC calculation? I'm just trying to keep track of all the transactions! Thanks! -
Just an FYI... when they state one device, it's one device at a time that can be logged in per package (the Key or VOOM package). My wife and I either both get the Key or the VOOM Surf & Stream for 2 devices. We each just switch on and off from our own iPads to our iPhones as needed, etc. (we each bring 2 devices).

Yep, we got one e-mail with two FCC certificate numbers in the identical amount (each certificate is half the total 125% FCC amount). One unique certificate number in my name and the other in my wife’s name. As per the conditions on the e-mail, each FCC certificate is only good for that named guest. However, I thought I read on the forum that RC will sometimes make exceptions (eg. guest unable or unwilling to cruise again). Of course not relevant if your going to cruise with the same people!

Windjammer love it or hate it?
JohnK6404 replied to R yeo's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Well, maybe not so fast... RC will be changing the Windjammer, but possibly not as dramatic as we all are assuming! Maybe limited seating and crew members to serve you? We'll see! Fain indicated that “some of the press” were suggesting the buffet would “go from one thing that we’ve had for decades and suddenly morph into something very different.” Continuing the discussion about buffets, the exec said that when it came to venues where “everybody reaches in and everybody touches the same tongs,” that was something “you’re not going to see on land or sea.” However, he added, “it doesn’t mean that you don’t have a buffet. You might have it where all of that is served to you by other people. And there [are] other possibilities. But the point is that it will evolve.” https://cruiseradio.net/cruise-line-changes-its-no-buffets-stance/ -
Same with us... same amount listed for each of us (same e-mail), but it is the correct total amount. I'm assuming the little extra (less than $2) is due to rounding.

Just FYI... we just received our FCC e-mail this morning for our cancelled 5/31/20 Oasis sailing... they got it right and it's actually almost $2 more than I had calculated. ? They had indicated today (5/22/20) would be the day they would be working on this round of cancellations. Just waiting on the 125% Cruise Planner OBC and the refund to my CC for the port fees, expenses and taxes...

Windjammer love it or hate it?
JohnK6404 replied to R yeo's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
We've always liked the Windjammer as a quick dining option with decent buffet food and an absolute ton of variety. We only went there a couple of times for breakfast on our last cruise, but will certainly miss the convenience if they turn it into another table service or reservation only option. We always liked having it as an option in a pinch! Needless to say, the buffet in the Solarium Bistro will have to follow the same rules. We went there for breakfast a number of times on our last cruise. -
Just cancelled it at $21.99 and re-purchased at $16.99. Quick $70 savings... praying we somehow sail on Oasis on 10/4! DBP back down to $44.00 now too...
