  1. Thanks for the tour Chris! Best of luck on Oasis!
  2. @codyh21 Have a great time and thank you for your service! We'll be following!
  3. Have a nice dinner. My wife and I are looking forward to trying CP150 for the first time when we're on Oasis next May.
  4. If you pass through the casino, take a peek to see if @CHRIS WONG is there at the casino host desk... He mentioned in his recent video that this will be his assignment now that he is on Oasis.
  5. I understood that ... I was referring to flying into PR to get on the ship (Freedom, etc.)... airfare too expensive compared to FL at least from NY. Currently, all of the Oasis class ships only sail out of FL for the Caribbean... and NY next year (woo hoo) thankfully as you know! We couldn't pass up the opportunity... will be fun to squeeze under the Verrazzano!
  6. Exactly! Safe way to experiment and no regrets!
  7. Gotcha! Makes sense... that is the last sailing before the drydock I'm assuming... not sure if that's a good thing! LOL! I agree about sailing out of PR... when we've looked in the past, the airfare is so much more expensive from NY. It will be nice when Odyssey sails out of FLL to the ABC Islands instead of having to go to PR for that itinerary! That is on our radar! I believe Freedom is the newest and largest ship to sail out of PR right now. I agree... we've always liked the MDR and usually sprinkle in specialty restaurants for lunch and maybe one or two dinners at most. Oooo... like that itinerary with Labadee and Coco Cay! If you get the DBP, you're all set! LOL!
  8. Just an FYI... there are no APR 2021 Harmony sailings... she will be in her 5-year maintenance drydock all month. We had originally booked Harmony for APR 2021 a few months ago and they quickly cancelled our sailing (and all APR Harmony sailings) and moved me to Symphony in APR. We're now on the 4/24/21 sailing on Symphony... If you're set on APR 2021, then you'll have to go with Symphony (out of the two). If you're looking at another month, I would think you would get a better price on Harmony compared to Symphony around the same time since Symphony is still the newer ship with the premium price tag. Also, take a look at the entertainment and restaurant offerings to see if that sways your opinion in either direction. Other than entertainment and food offerings (and decor/art), both ships are almost identical except that Harmony does not have a pool in the solarium. Symphony has Hooked Seafood and El Loco Fresh which are not on Harmony... Harmony still has Sabor, etc. We originally booked Harmony since it was more convenient out of Port Canaveral vs. Miami (Southwest does not fly to Miami) and over $700 cheaper than the identical cabin on Symphony (for the 2 of us). As for the beaches, I can't comment on the difference between Coco Cay and Labadee. We were in Labadee last May with friends and booked a cabana so we never used the main beaches (access to water from cabana). We're going to Coco Cay for the first time since the reno next May on Oasis which doesn't help your decision! Also, remember that Oasis was just amped and Allure will be amped in 2020... so these ships will have the latest and greatest offerings too in 2021! They will have Playmaker's Sports Bar & Arcade, Portside BBQ, Lime & Coconut Bar, etc., which are not on Harmony & Symphony...
  9. As my mother used to say when I was a child... pleasant dreams, sweet dreams! ?
  10. Looks like drone and helicopter footage of Oasis and the fireworks show along with ship info... neat! Covering sail away too I see... some cool close up shots... I bet some of those folks driving by during the fireworks show were wondering what was going on!
  11. FYI... Royal was live on Facebook/YouTube earlier promoting the inaugural Oasis sail away this evening... neat! SKIP AHEAD TO ABOUT THE 12:00 MINUTE MARK!
  12. Looks like they are having issues right now... surprise, surprise... I can't price any cruise without it crashing. CP access no problem...
  13. Yes. It first flashed the "normal" home screen and then immediately redirects to that screen since we have booked cruises (https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked)... Unless I go to the site in a Chrome incognito window, I never see the "regular" home page... I do sometimes get a different screen when I click on the RC logo in the upper left of the screen...
  14. Have a great time Raye! We'll definitely be following!
  15. Hi @Melodyjn! We hear you... it has reached epidemic proportions here too since our last cruise in May! I thought I was the bad one... I think my wife has wrestled the crown, or belt, from me! Now, I get daily updates on Royal and our upcoming cruises! When you find yourself going to YouTube while watching TV to look for more cruise vlogs (after you've watched all of Matt's of course!) or to Netflix to watch documentaries involving Royal ships (that you've watched more than once), you have a "problem"! ? You are so lucky to be so close to your new obsession! My wife actually now thinks about eventually relocating the FLA so we are closer to our friends, all of the FLA attractions, and all of those cruise ports!
  16. LOL! ? Yeah, it's like Black Friday every cruise!
  17. Beautiful cats! Have a great time!!! Following! Yes, they know! Found this one of our Simba!
  18. Copied from your original! Hi @cadu43! We have only been on Allure to date as far as Oasis class (May this year). We actually found Allure to be less crowded due to the ship's neighborhood design compared to when we sailed Majesty, Explorer and Liberty! Many, many more places to disperse the crowds. We've walked many times through Central Park and the Boardwalk with only a handful of people congregating or passing through (excluding those in the restaurants of course). We found those neighborhoods to be excellent ways to traverse the ship! There will always be crowds on the pool decks on sea days, or in the Windjammer at common meal times, around the elevators during meal and show times, near the entertainment venues around show times, etc. It also depends on when you sail and I'm going to guess that a New Year's cruise or a cruise taken during the summer or during a school break could be be a little more crowded (especially with school/college aged passengers). I'm only guessing that the ship will sail even closer to capacity during those periods. Have a great time and please give us your feedback/experience. My wife and I would love to also do a New Year's cruise in the next few years (our friends frequently cruise over the New Year, but on another cruiseline)! We love the Oasis class so much we booked Oasis for next MAY and Symphony for APR 2021!

  20. Have a great time! Will be following for sure as we'll be on her next May!
  21. So true! Need to lose 8-10 pounds before the cruise!
  22. Here are some nice Google Earth shots for a different perspective... both islands... Just Coco Cay... and that's an Oasis class ship! Makes the island look small!
