Hi
This will be my first time sailing on Valentine's day and we are looking forward to it. Chops is having a special dinner seating on Valentine's day with an upcharge. I'm contemplating getting it for hubby and I, but I was wondering if the MDR does anything special for Valentine's day.... and if so, I'll schedule Chops on another night.
Thanks

I haven't even seen any recent mention of Labadee (or, Labadie in local parlance) on the Haitian news sites.
Other island nations with cruise limitations have had plenty of articles.
Exactly, its weird that there is zero news about Labadee in the media.

Thanks @Matt I need to use my next Cruise reservation before Feb 1 to get my onboard credit.... Looks like I'll need to book something else.

What if you booked a suite and all suites are sold out?
I'm gonna call and ask, because that won't cost me anything .

I see summer 2023 departures from FL and TX, but nothing leaving from Bayonne. Do you all know when that schedule may be released?
Thanks

I don’t know guys but half the time I forget to take my mask OFF! So used to wearing it now, I barely notice it.
Exactly, I just got back from a cruise and I wore my mask the entire time I was indoors unless I was eating or in my stateroom. It was not a problem for me. I felt safe and it didn't take away from my experience.

I booked a cruise for October 2023 and I'm wondering will I still be able to take advantage of the best price guarantee? If my sailing price drops Is this policy only applicable to cruises sailing before April 2022 or is this a standard policy?

I'm supposed to be at Labedee on Feb. 15 on the Mariner.

I would assume it's coming. Nothing is going to Labadee for a while.
I also would assume you'll have another day at sea. I suppose it's possible they'd add another port stop but that seems unlikely.
You also could probably deduce a bit of info based on the itinerary. When was the stop supposed to take place? Where are you coming from and where are you headed afterwards? What might possibly be on the way in that direction? In your case, looks like you're supposed to be in Jamaica, then Labadee the next day, and then a day at sea before Coco. In that sense, I'd assume they'll either add a second day in Jamaica or a second day at sea. Unfortunately, there isn't really anything else in that area between Jamaica and CocoCay geographically that makes sense. I guess they could go back to Nassau. Symphony will be at CocoCay the day before you so that would rule out a second day there.
This is my itinerary. What do you think?

I’m with you on that. Wasn’t impressed with Nassau. Send us to Coco Cay!
I'm already making a stop in Coco Cay. I'm hoping for Cozumel or DR.

Nassau will be much better next summer once the new port area is done and the rest of town is reopened.
I hope so. I'm cruising on Freedom in August and we're stopping in Nassau. I was underwhelmed when I visited Nassua earlier this month.

I'm cruising in February and I haven't seen any updates about Labadee, which we're scheduled to visit. I was there about 10 years ago and loved it. I was looking forward to seeing all the updates to royals private island.
I hope we don't get rerouted to Nassau.

I'm scheduled for Labadee in February as well and I have not had any schedule updates. However, when I was on Anthem last week my waiter told me his supervisor asked him about his Labadee uniform for sizing .

My cruise for Dec 2022 has a sale as of this evening on drink package $52…refreshment pkg $17….and VOOM stream $14.89. These prices were higher earlier today. My April 2022 cruise is still showing no sale pricing.
We will see what the Black Friday sale tomorrow brings.
Same!

I love your blog!!! Thank you!
Did you say you were doing the Taste of Royal lunch or the Chefs Table? How was the experience?

When bringing wine onboard, should it be in your suitcase or carry-on bag?
Also, what's considered a carryon bag and how many carry-on bags can you have? Is it 2 like on a plane? I feel like the last time I cruised I left the wine in my checked luggage.
Thank you

Hi everyone,
Has anyone cruised out of Bayonne in Nov. 2021? If so, has the daily cost to park increased to $30 yet? It's been confirmed that parking was $25/day in October.
Thanks

Good morning John,
Thanks for responding. We just switched to a new longer sailing to maximize our vacation. I also booked Chef's Table for the first sailing back in Sept, but now that I'm rebooking extras I see that option with Chops. Unfortunately, Chef's Table isn't available on Anthem...it must be sold out.
Thanks
