  1. It often sells out and the prices go up quickly. I have been able to book twice at $79.99 but it usually jumps to double that. I will be there is a few weeks and will let you know if I think it was worth it.
  2. Correct - it looks like it opened up for AOS through July
  3. It definitely did not work in Jan 2020 on Liberty. My family used Whatsapp - its a web based text app that works as long as you have wifi.
  4. Check in is now available for the Adventure of the Seas cruises - I'm not sure how far out. I checked in for my June 12th sailing
  5. We have known since we booked that the protocols would be changing up to the last minute. I was mentally prepared for full masks and social distancing protocols. I am also prepared for there to be some serious hiccups being the first post covid cruise in North America - I guess the check in thing is one of those.
  6. I am also coming in on Friday. We can apply for our Bahama Health Visa tomorrow.
  7. I want to check in early AND am an obsesive planner!
  8. We got our "e-docs" yesterday so its not cancelling. I'm sure they are working on figuring out what documents they need from us and what they need to check in at a remote location (British Colonial Hotel ballroom). I'm guessing that some of it may be done maually at check in.
  9. My wife likes frozen margarita's. I cannot remember seeing them at any of the ship bars. Am I missing a spot to order one?
  10. The suite area is the area accessible by the stairs
  11. There is a suite only section at the main pool. It is actually stepped up stadium style and would not be easily accessible. There is a suite lounge w concierge but no coastal kitchen.
  12. You are 100% correct but the biggest factor is that the CDC is making non vaccinated cruising impossible in the short term. The cruise lines and the CDC have been going back and forth for months and have gotten nowhere. We will find out next week (we think) what agreement they came to, but I suspect the compromise was to allow cruises with 12 and up vaccinated. RC is running a business, and the most important thing right now is to get ships sailing with passengers. I suspect that as these cruises run without significant issue, then reasonable protocols will eventually allow non vaccinated to cruise also.
  13. The workers have to get in and out somehow. It may be a long ride in the back of a pickup to eventually get to an airport so you can get home on your own dime. I personally try to get back a full hour early just to avoid finding out.
  14. This, the biggest issue for me has been dealing with "issues" that have come up after booking. It has been a nightmare with all the cancelations.
  15. It has to be no more than 60 days. You may have to manage any that are over that until you catch up. I made the change to MEI recently and was able to move one of my 4 previously booked cruises. I'll have to finish out the others. No regrets btw, I will definitely be using a travel agent for cruises moving forward.
  16. I would add to that that failure to obey the instructions of a member of the flight crew is a federal crime. It does get prosecuted and will also get you banned for life from whatever airline you are on. While I agree that masks for vaccinated people shouldn't be required, an airplane is not the place for civil disobedience.
  17. Good news regardless of the full details as it shows that the CDC is still changing the CSO. They basically said they wouldn't a few weeks ago and they have now changed it a few times. There is a long way to go before July so a lot can still change as the country opens up.
  18. It really depends on how often you cruise on Royal as to whether it is worth it. I bought my 100 shares back in April when it was at $30, a much better deal than the $85 it is today. You basically have to go on 85 week long cruises to beak even. I wouldn't advise buying unless you believe in it as an investment. RCI was trading well above $100 precovid but I think it will take a few years to get back to full profitability.
  19. It has a 70 percent effectiveness vs 94 for the other 2. It is still highly effective at preventing serious symptoms. If you assume that all of the Yankees were given the JJ vaccine and were directly exposed, it's nor shocking that about 30 percent of the team got it. None of them are even showing symptoms and the only reason they even know if because of regular testing. This is a worst case scenario but actually shows that the vaccine is working.
