  1. Great post, and much more representative of my experience on Royal Caribbean.
  2. What has happened in previous cases is that the CDC will appeal but drop the order. The entire case will be set aside as moot because there is no longer an order in place. That way the government ends the order without agreeing that weren't allowed to make it in the first place.
  3. I tried that. As, I said above it works for my other 4 cruises also. I am going to try Royal CS but I have low expectations.
  4. Biggest takeaway is that once again, the judge ruled that the CDC exceeded its authority just as it did with the conditional sail order. These types of rulings make it harder for the CDC to implement future restrictions on cruising.
  5. I am booked on Wonder of the Seas June 2nd Western Mediterranean from Rome. I have been unable to get into the app on this cruise all along. We are now 45 days out and check in is now open and I was able to check in through the cruise planner, but still nothing on the app. I am able to get into the 4 other future cruises that I have scheduled so I don't think its an ap issue. It just says "We're working on the fun" whenever I press on this cruise. This is an odd cruise that allows boarding in both Barcelona and Rome - with Barcelona being the main port of debarkation. I am sure this is the issue but am unsure if there is anything that can be done about it. I was hoping it would open up with check in but obviously that isn't happening.
  6. Understandable, that's why this board is here! Even though I don't think it's a big deal, your agent should have either satisfied your concerns, or just made the change.
  7. No flow riders or bumper cars as a start. Less to do overall. Food and service better, older, higher end crowd.
  8. The entire beach area around Costa Maya has issues periodically with sea grass. There was a lot the day we were there but Maya Chan had people clearing it all day with about 75 percent success. It didn't bother us, but it wasn't crystal clear blue water either. I was able to see the town beach area and it had similar issues with the grass. I don't think it was any better or worse.
  9. It's more old school cruising, definitely geared more to adults but not excluding families.
  10. It only matters if the country that you are visiting requires it to be within the 6 months. The is a common requirement in Europe, but not the Caribbean. I would bring a driver license and birth certificate just to he on the safe side, but you should be ok.
  11. The TA OBCs often show up on day 2 of your cruise. I'm not sure why.
  12. It's not a big deal, but your TA should be able to correct it if you want them to.
  13. They don't automatically do anything. If you want a celebration you would need to arrange it. You could easily speak to your waiter or the restaurant managers if you want to do something at dinner. As others have mentioned, there are some celebration decorations and cakes available for purchase that would be for the room.
  14. Biggest perks are the suite lounge and the reserved space at the pool, and of course the extra space. Also usually has a private breakfast in one of the specialty restaurants. Like everything else with suites, it's up to you whether that is worth the extra money. I won a Royal up from JS to Owners suite on Liberty that was under $1000 and definitely thought it was worth it. Having said that, I probably wouldn't spend much more than that.
  15. Yes, definitely not common to have a mass on a ship outside of the big holidays. You can get masses on You Tube that are posted same day and meant for people who are unable to attend. Probably your best option.
  16. You could always try to rebook. I'm a little confused about why the muster station would matter. You only go there once to check in.
  17. Once you are onboard, you can sleep wherever, and even get extra keys. Whoever is booked in the non suite will not get suite benefits.
  18. This is where you lost me. There is a reason I'm on this site and stopped looking at that one.
  19. I've just got to ask... Are you saying the casino was cheating?
  20. I believe this is correct
  21. CK is officially smart casual every night.
  22. You could also get with your TA and see how you can move as many people into the suite booking as possible while keeping both bookings. People can sleep wherever they want once they are on the ship. Royal should really find a way to accommodate when people are booking adjacent cabins along with suites. It doesn't make sense for families to have to split for dinner.
  23. You can only earn points for yourself. She needs her own account.
  24. I'm glad that the food isn't good. I gained too much weight on my cruise last month because the food was really good. Now that they have made the change to bad food, I will be good on my June cruise.
  25. The default is that they will seat you at the first available location. I would recommend going to the dining room on the first day and make your request before dinner.
