  1. Unfortunately, no double points on a Royal Up upgrade
  2. Allure has Coastal. You would need to go to Coastal Kitchen to make reservations. Those is suites are prioritized but you should be able to get a few slots. Try for the 1st night because the filet from CK is considered one of the best meals in any restaurant.
  3. There are not a whole lot of extra benefits for JS. You do get early boarding and the opportunity to eat at Coastal Kitchen if your ship has it.
  4. If she has documentation of the positive covid test in February, then she should qualify under the 2nd part. However, that is for entry into Italy, not for Royal. I could see where she would be allowed on the ship, but have to follow unvaccinated protocols which would require her to test for some port stops. If it was me, I would get the booster to avoid any issues. successful recovery from SARS-CoV-2 infection (valid for 180 days from the positive swab)
  5. You can also use your HCAP card to pay for these if you have one with your plan. While you can certainly get a free test elsewhere, it is well worth the extra money for the convenience.
  6. It is always 1 day, not 24 hrs so as long as your test is dated 6/1 or later you are good as far as Royal is concerned.
  7. I highlighted the key part of this document that is easily missed. You only need to meet one of those requirements, not all. Obligations upon entry into Italy The rules for entry into Italy have been updated and simplified. The ordinance of 22 February 2022 unified the regulation of entry from European Union countries and third countries. Regardless of the country from which you enter Italy, the traveler will be required to present at the same time to the carrier and to anyone who is responsible for carrying out the checks: the Passenger Locator Form, to be completed before departure and updated with the seat once checked-in has been completed; this form can be shown digitally or in paper format; the COVID-19 Green Certification or other equivalent certification that must contain one of the following conditions: completion of the primary vaccination cycle or carrying out the booster dose according to the vaccination plans of the release countries with vaccines authorized by the European Medical Agency (primary cycle validity 9 months and booster dose without predefined limit) successful recovery from SARS-CoV-2 infection (valid for 180 days from the positive swab) recovery occurred after administration of the first dose of vaccine or at the end of the primary vaccination cycle or following administration of the relevant booster dose carrying out a rapid or molecular antigen test, by means of a swab, respectively within 48 or 72 hours before entry into Italy. Covid-19 green certifications of vaccination are accepted in one of the following languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish or German. If presented in another language they must be accompanied by a sworn translation into Italian. Foreign certifications attesting to the successful recovery must be accompanied by a sworn translation into Italian. Consult: circular 30 July 2021 and circular 23 September 2021.
  8. You can bring the E Meds kits with and do it there if you want to avoid finding it locally.
  9. I don't think you need to be tested to enter Italy if you are fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated there means boosters or last shot within 270 days.
  10. They aren't going to be checked unless they are over the 3.4 ounces. Yes, you are asked to have all items separated for screening, but that just makes it easier if they need to check it. It will just go through the X Ray machine and be ignored because it isn't close to the 3.4 ounces. I travel all the time and stopped putting my liquids in a clear bag a long time ago because they never asked to look at them.
  11. It's going to be tight. There is probably room for a pack n play but there won't be much room to move around when you are done. It's pretty late to move rooms now and I certainly wouldn't count on a Royal Up. If you were able, I would add an extra inside cabin or adjacent cabin and have the 2 teens in that room. You would need to book an adult in each room, but could rearrange the occupants once you board.
  12. Per the homeland security website: You are allowed to bring a quart-sized bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes in your carry-on bag and through the checkpoint. These are limited to travel-sized containers that are 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less per item. Placing these items in the small bag and separating from your carry-on baggage facilitates the screening process. Pack items that are in containers larger than 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters in checked baggage. Any liquid, aerosol, gel, cream or paste that alarms during screening will require additional screening. The liquid in the email tests is nowhere near 3.4 oz.
  13. Yes, I have been on 3 post covid cruises - all in suites at 28 points each (7 day cruises) for a total of 84 points. Went from Gold to Diamond.
  14. Yes, stop at one of the specialty restaurants when you board and you will be able to reserve for the week. You can also change the 1st night reservation if you want. It doesn't matter which specialty restaurant you go to so if there is a line at one, try another.
  15. Traditional dining is going to be at a slower pace than 45 minutes. MTD, is quicker, usually. Yes, the appetizers come first, then entre, then dessert. They do wait until you have finished one before bringing the next. I've never asked a waiter to speed things up, but it may be worth asking if it is important to you. We are quick eaters in my family and can usually do MTD in 1 - 1 1/2 hrs. As stated above, you can definitely request the same waiter and time all week in MTD - just stop back at the entrance on your way out and let them know you want to do it.
  16. Get the Emed tests recommended by Royal and bring them with you. They can be used anywhere and are easy to do.
  17. I'm pretty sure the current health questionnaire asks if you have been in contact with anyone who has covid in the past 14 days. You should be OK as long as you do not get it.
  18. Thanks for posting. Many of us have been waiting for this.
  19. There are not enough. We bring a European adapter that will double the number. Amazon.com: [2-Pack] European Travel Plug Adapter, VINTAR International Power Adaptor with 1 USB C, 2 American Outlets and 3 USB Ports, 6 in 1 Travel Essentials to Most of Europe Greece, Italy(Type C) : Tools & Home Improvement
  20. Nobody has ever seen an official breakdown of how the tips are allotted between crew. You are tipping extra in your auto gratuity to be in a suite, so it stands to reason that some of the extra goes to support the suite lounge/concierge. I am sure that the amount in the prepaid gratuities finds its way to all of the wait staff in a way that makes sense (at least to the cruise line). How that happens is a mystery. I usually tip extra if the service was good - but it isn't required.
  21. I can see wearing it at top tier events and in the pinnacle lounge. I wouldn't wear it around all day as I have seen some pins do.
  22. I keep mine in my front pocket and have never had an issue. My swimsuit has a pocket and I take it into the pool without issue. My wife keeps hers in whatever bag she is carrying. Nothing wrong with lanyards, but they are definitely not necessary.
  23. Generally, Yes. Go to Adventure Ocean on day 1 and let them know your preference. They will generally allow you to sign her into the older group.
