We had a similar situation. Our driver TRIED to take us to Zone 6 but the traffic guy wouldn't let him go there....so we had to unload upstream, schlep our crap through the very crowded, very narrow sidewalk, fending off luggage handlers all the way who were trying to take out bags. This is so important. If you give your bags to anyone else - even the porters who say they are Star Class and have the purple SC banner - they will be delayed getting to you. Talk to the SC greeter before you do ANYthing else.

I will reveal my extreme ignorance at this point.... but how do you re-compress a compression cube when you must re-pack for coming home ? I assume compression is some kind of vacuum system ?

Also, the more people that are planned to be on the island that day, the higher the prices will be. So even if yours is the only ship scheduled to be there right now, if another ship gets scheduled to call on CC, the prices for things like cabanas will rise significantly.

WOW ! Who knew there was so much scheduled for the tweens ? I have never had any reason to look for such things so I never realized.

I would definitely ask the Concierge. We get these invites all the time but frankly, I have never been sure if it was a function of being in a suite or being D+. I really do NOT know.

What kind of certificate did you use where you got the cert + KSF ? If it was a $$ off certificate then this makes sense. If it was a free or casino rate certificate then you were very very fortunate to have been allowed to use another discount (KSF) with your casino rate. The rule has ALWAYS been that you cannot use any kind of additional discount with a casino rate cruise.

I get reminders to book stuff for every cruise I have booked - including my Star Class cruises ! I have the UDP and the DBP for every <non-SC> cruise and they still tell me that I need to hurry up and book. They have no clue....

This happened to me just this past Saturday !!! Dan was out back on the deck sunbathing in his "Speedo style" trunks. He would NEVER wear them anywhere in public....but I went to tell him goodbye (leaving for an errand) and locked the deck sliding glass doors out of PURE HABIT. I locked him completely out of the house. Luckily I wasn't gone long. He wasn't too happy with me when I got home. I don't even remember locking the door ! It was pure reflex.

There could be one slight problem if you are not a Prime member. For anyone that is not at least a Prime level member of Club Royale, they would charge you a 5% "convenience fee" to take cash against your sea pass card. So if you had to pay that fee it would not be reasonable. This "scheme" only works if you are already a Prime or higher CR member. I should have mentioned that but I know that Stephanie does qualify for waiving that fee.

You know me.....I'd always say go for the GS but I can see the arguments for the extra bed and 1/2 bath. Here's probably what I would do. I would bid something slightly over the minimum bid on the GS knowing that it probably won't win. If it DOES win then you have a great upgrade at a real bargain. If it does not win then the worst that can happen is you have a great JS with extra bed and 1/2 bath and you saved yourself some money !

Me too. I know I’m OLD and old school. I have a nifty manilla folder where my dozens of pages of ragged papers live. I love shuffling through them to find the one I need and then having them go drifting away as they fall from the folder; then I get to go gather them all up and shove them, willy nilly back into the folder. It’s just the way we roll... ??

If you're talking about a tall, slender, dark haired lady from Transylvania (Alexandra) she is no longer with Royal Caribbean. When we had Reyno as our Genie the first time, we had friends who had Alexandra as their Genie. I really liked her but she left Royal shortly after that. If there is another Alexandra I have not heard of her.
