Yeah, Thanksgiving would be first choice followed by March.

So, they are going to start their newest ship doing short sailings. I guess they are trying to get new cruisers and young people.

It was great! It ended up pouring rain the whole time we were there (which is apparently exceedingly rare, so you’re probably fine on that front), but our driver, Cutty, took excellent care of us; we saw a lot of both the French and Dutch sides, and he was was able to teach us about the history of the island and its usage as a travel hub for visitors to Anguilla and St. Barths. We visited a bird zoo, got pastries on the French side, saw the “Moses walk,” stopped at the border between the two sides to see the monument, and spent about half an hour at Mullet Bay Beach. We ended up skipping Maho Beach and cutting the trip short because my kid got tired and wasn’t interested in much beach time due to the weather, but we would both do it again in a heartbeat. The only downside (other than the weather) was that the roads are very windy and steep, so if you’re prone to motion sickness it’s tough.
Thanks

I’ll be in St. Maarten with my 10yo on our Oasis cruise next month, and I booked a 5-hour private van tour through St. Maarten Presidential Tours—we’ll get to play it by ear and visit a series of spots on our own schedule for $240 cash (+ tip), and they claim it includes a dedicated driver/guide, a van with AC, and a cooler of water/soda/beer/rum punch. I will post a review after the trip.
Curious what you think of your your. Have tentatively book with St. Maarten Presidential tours in 2024.

We stayed at the Hotel Captain Cook.
It is a historic landmark hotel.

The strategy with the mass market cruise lines is to make the ship the destination.
That is where boutique, luxury and upscale cruise lines will find there little corner of the market. Azamara for example. Celebrity.
The NCL Prima accommodates 3200 guests.

Cruising is wonderful. You and your children will love it. As others said, I wouldn't try to overplan. If you take your kids on excursions, I wouldn't do more than 4 hours. Bermuda is lovely. Just make sure you arrive in Fort Lauderdale at least a day ahead.

What to do in Hawaiian ports?
Haleakala at sunset in Maui. We rented a car in Kauai, downloaded the gypsy app and drove to Waimea Canyon. However, we took a non RCL cruise and had overnights.

Thanks Traveler.

Do you know if the shuttle bus in Cyprus was for just Royal Caribbean or is it port offered? Stopping at Limassol on a non-RCL ship.

Thanks Roger.

The beach time was very limited. Maybe 45 minutes to an hour) I’d look for a boat tour that specifically includes beach time.
Thanks for letting me know.

We just did the champagne catamaran in October. None of us (2 couples) snorkeled but took dingy to beach, ordered Pain Killers and hung out in the water. Great time and great crew!
Where there others who didn't snorkel? I don't want to feel out of place.
Neither nor my husband like to snorkel but are looking for a beach day in St. John and didn't see other options.

The Pride of America is a unique ship in that she is US flagged and is required to have 75 percent of her staff from the US.
As Gatorcruiser stated, it wouldn't be good for the consumer if NCL went kaput. Less competition means higher pricing.

I have family going on this cruise tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great time. Is internet free for suite guests?

I am sorry if this has been asked before.
Are you required to upload vaccine proof before your cruise? How far ahead? Can you do it for everyone in your reservation? Also, where in the app?

Honestly I prefer them issuing the rules month to month. Gives them more flexibility to dial back restrictions as things get better. Though I suppose they can always change these rules.
Would really like to see testing (and to some extent masks) go away before too much longer.
I could see masking being dropped but not testing. Wouldn't Royal want to keep someone who already has covid off ships?

Royal absolutely does 1 way cruises between Vancouver and Seward on the Radiance. They didn't do it this past year due to covid. However, the Radiance is scheduled to resume those itineraries. The itineraries are offered in both directions. If you do the northbound itinerary, you would board in Vancouver and you could get off the ship in Juneau without violating any cabbotage laws. The problem is that Juneau would be the first stop. So, you would only be on the ship 2 nights before getting off. It might be better to fly to Juneau first for a couple days, then fly to Anchorage take the southbound itinerary from Seward to Vancouver on the Radiance.
