  1. One possible solution would be for them to change the name of the “junior suite” to maybe “extra large room with balcony”, take away all the perks, and adjust the price down accordingly.
  2. If you’re like me and don’t like swimming in chilly to cold water, you won’t like cococay in December. I live in Orlando and won’t even go in my pool that time of year without heating the water way up.
  3. Honestly, the coffee on the ships I’ve been on has always tasted horrible and/or burnt to me ...... I keep trying hoping I’ll get one that tastes good and they always end up in the trash ..... I can’t drink it on a cruise and I drink 3 or 4 cups a day at home. Even at Starbucks on the ships I’ve only liked the iced coffee. We always get the deluxe beverage package, so I have tried pretty much all the coffees that come with the refreshment package. Maybe I’m just weird?? But, YES, with the refreshment package you can get any coffee on the ship for free, except for at Starbucks you still have to pay. Even with the deluxe beverage package, Starbucks is still an extra cost.
  4. We’re on Navigator June 1-5, 2020 which has 2 stops at CocoCay. I just got a 2 day ticket deal in cruise planner for $79.99 TOTAL per person, which is what they’re also charging for 1 day on the same cruise. I’m guessing this is available for all the cruises with 2 stops at CocoCay ..... “
  5. Did they allow your grandson to order off their regular adult menu for the $10? Or was it the child’s menu?
  6. I’ve had that happen to me as well ....... then I went to the RC app and was able to check in with no problem at all.
  7. Another option is to call Royal Caribbean and have them setup MTD reservations for you at the times you want each night. Also let them know the size table you want if you want your family to not be stuck with other people. Then check and make sure the reservations show up in your calendar.
  8. We’re going to be on Navigator on 10/25. It’s the only ship out of all the cruises we have booked that doesn’t have a Coastal Kitchen for suite guests so we’re thinking about doing the UDP. I was told the following and was wondering if it’s all correct: 1) If our 8yo son wants to eat off the regular menu in the specialty restaurants and not the kid’s menu, we just book UDP for him as well at the adult price in the cruise planner. 2) When our concierge emails us a week before the cruise, we can tell him the specialty restaurant names, night, nights, and times we’d like and he can book ALL our UDP reservations for us ..... is that correct? We don’t have to wait until we’re on the ship to make nightly reservations for the UDP like everyone else if we’re in a suite? It’s a GS. Thanks in advance.
  9. First time staying in a suite on an Oasis class ship, always had a balcony on them before ...... traveling 9/14 on Symphony in an OS .......... If we already made made my time dining reservation for 6:30 every night in the MDR and then ask the concierge to make reservations for us every night in coastal kitchen at 630 when we get the email, do they just cancel the my time dining reservation you made for the nights? Thanks in advance
  10. My son wanted to do Flowrider on Mariner at the beginning of the summer ...... he missed the 52” by maybe 1/8” ..... for that teeny tiny amount, they wouldn’t let him do it
  11. Yolo, it’s true ........ perhaps you guys can change to Oasis or Allure for the same dates? Both of them seem to price way better than Harmony and Symphony too. Well before your sail date, both Oasis and Allure will be amped and will be even better than Symphony ...... they’ll both have the Portside BBQ that the other 2 will be lacking as well as everything that Symphony has now.
  12. I was told that we can ask our suite concierge to make CK reservations for us when they email us a week or so before the cruise
  13. Symphony has a huge sports bar called Playmakers on the boardwalk where Sabor and Starbucks are on Harmony. Symphony also has El Loco Fresh on deck 15 which Harmony does not. Oasis and Allure will also soon have their boardwalk setup like Symphony and will have El Loco Fresh after their royal amplifications. They’ll also have the perfect storm water slides and the ultimate abyss slides. Oasis for cruises starting in November 2019 and Allure cruises starting in April 2020. After their amplifications, both Oasis and Allure will also have the Portside BBQ restaurant, which neither Symphony nor Harmony have. Harmony has no pool in the adults only solarium, ..... Symphony, Oasis, and Allure all do have pools in the solarium. In my personal opinion, once Oasis and Allure receive their amplifications, Harmony will be the WORST of the 4 Oasis class ships ........... Both Oasis and Allure have some really good pricing for cruises that occur AFTER their royal amplifications too. Portside BBQ: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-dining/portside-bbq
  14. Thanks for the info! We’ll definitely do CK instead of the MDR!
  15. After the $70 Brightline cost and the Uber, you’d be looking at at least $100 total, .... parking at the terminal for $22/day is $154 total ..... if it were me, I’d personally prefer to drive and park my own car than deal with the headache of lugging my stuff on and off trains and Ubers to save maybe $54 or less. Then who knows how much the “surge pricing” will make the Uber rates go up on debarkation day if tons of people from multiple ships are trying to get Ubers
  16. Sailing on Symphony 9/14-21. This will be our first time staying in an owner’s suite on an Oasis class ship. What’s the main difference between Coastal Kitchen and the MDR? Should we just eat in the CK every night?

  18. Yes ...... But what happens if the parents are Pinnacle when their child is born? Does the child inherit the lower Diamond Plus? Or do they get no status at all as someone suggested above?
  19. No, my 7 year old son has his own crown and anchor number and has the same status as us on his boarding cards even though he’s technically 14 points behind us ......... they just can’t have an online account connected to their crown and anchor number until they’re 13
  20. LOL , true, but going by today’s standards, what I mean is ..... if my son becomes Pinnacle before his first child is born, what status will his child have on say his hypothetical 1st cruise when he’s 1 year old? OR ..... say we become Pinnacle and then have another child, what would my then child be for his 1st cruise?
  21. Myself, my spouse, and our currently 7 year old son will all be Diamond Plus by the end of 2020 because of booking suites. On his own, our son is only 14 points behind us because of a cruise we took before he was born. What I’m wondering is what happens in the following scenario since pinnacle isn’t given to children: Suppose our son earns Pinnacle before he graduates from high school or college. When he gets married, I know his wife gets Pinnacle ........ when they have children, what do their children become? Would their children automatically become Diamond Plus since they can’t get Pinnacle from their parents? Thanks in advance.
