  1. I don't know, playing live-action Frogger with the trams seems to have a bit of a built-in thrill factor...
  2. Not sure what's going on, but I'm in the same boat for my July cruise...
  3. It's definitely not unheard of. Recently they've been much better at processing refunds more quickly, but last month I repriced a shore excursion and it took a little over a month for it show up.
  4. These are the same ones I use. Highly recommend.
  5. While we're on the topic, where exactly are they? I get that there's quite a few, but are they actually near the pools on deck 15? A deck up? Some on both decks?
  6. May I ask why the change? Is the Windjammer less congested/easier to get through now? MDR less pleasant? Just easier to get off quicker? Sorry to be nosey, I'm just curious!
  7. When you make the reservation, you should only put one person in your party on the reservation. Otherwise, you're booking two beds. It's not terribly clear in the instructions, but that's the system!
  8. If you're trying to be environmentally friendly but not suffer through the awfulness of paper straws, these are surprisingly good, small enough to pack easily, and cheap enough that you can easily just throw them away when done. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NBXYCGZ/?coliid=I2CJKA2GTD4JB3&colid=27FAG42S5W2OK&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  9. As an additional potential revenue stream, I would definitely pay for a ticket to watch this auction happen.
  10. Amtrak Northeast Regional trains will actually stop at Newark Liberty Airport (EWR) as well, which is just a bit closer to Cape Liberty and prevents you from having to drive through downtown Newark. Your Amtrak ticket also covers the cost of the AirTrain Monorail to the terminals. I'm not sure if it's a much better option, just a different one!
  11. Agree 100% with these sentiments. The Cruise Planner definitely doesn't do a fantastic job covering the excursions. Luckily you can still get the "old school" descriptions, it just takes a little extra leg work. If you go to https://www.royalcaribbean.com/beforeyouboard/shoreExcursions/downloadBrochure/ , you can get more thorough descriptions for the items listed in the CP. The downloaded brochure shows all of the potential shore excursions available on your itinerary, so I check the CP for availability first, then look to the brochure to help me make final decisions.
  12. Exactly right, a similar product to commercial "milkshake" mixes!
  13. Same experience. Literally took me 5 minutes.
  14. They do! Both guided and unguided.
  15. IMHO, $7,000 can pay for quite a few once-in-a-lifetime shore excursions. Easy decision for me to give up some walking around room to go do some things I may never have the opportunity to do again, but everyone's priorities are different!
  16. Unless I'm mistaken (it's been known to happen!), Cruise Planner should operate with his age the day of departure, not his present age. On an earlier cancelled cruise, I was looking at pricing out The Key. At the time, my youngest was 5, but he was turning 6 before we left. CP required me to purchase for him, too, so it was factoring in his age when we cruised, not at present. It was also the "old" Cruise Planner, so I'm not sure if that's a difference or not as well.
  17. Yes, and most of the time it's immediately/almost immediately. Even back in the mass "when are we getting our refunds" era at the start of the shutdown, my OBC was always back in my account no later than 48 hours after I canceled something.
  18. Ahem, that would be Shippy McShipface of the Seas, thank you very much. You can always put a Boaty McBoatface on a Shippy McShipface, but not the other way around.
  19. Out of curiosity, how far are these from the pools?
  20. Most of the folks I sing with use something similar to this. I tried one, and it's pretty effective, but it's so huge it actually ends up in my peripheral vision. I just...can't.
  21. Why I am not surprised you managed to track down some vibrant purple disposable masks!
  22. As a teacher and a singer, I have to wear masks constantly while doing jobs that make wearing masks less than ideal. Not as physically exerting as many other jobs to be sure, but having to project your voice and enunciate very clearly whilst masked isn't great. I don't know about you, but to me the most annoying part about wearing masks are: -having it press against your nose/mouth -having it rub against the back of your ears That's why I love these: https://www.amazon.com/Halo-Life-Face-Mask-Ultra-Breathable/dp/B08FXY962N/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=KYDY7R79C1QE&keywords=halo+mask&qid=1640978226&sprefix=halomask%2Caps%2C77&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzNEcyT0JVUTNaMzk5JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDMyNTIwMUpSWUVBRUtGQUU5TSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjEwMzAxM09QVTRaNzROSDJEQSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= They have a plastic post that runs down the middle of it so the fabric stays off your face (but not as extreme looking as the "bird beak" singer's masks or the N95s) and nice wide, adjustable ear straps so they don't irritate the backs of my ears. They also have a removable filter for added protection. They're not the cheapest masks, but I'm willing to pay a bit more for the comfort and design. Just my two cents!
  23. If you get the chance, you might want to check today. The new holiday sale has this pricing back on my sailing. Hope it's there for you, too! Good luck!
  24. Not sure about anyone else, but this afternoon a bunch of excursions for Orlando/Port Canaveral popped back up in my cruise planner (there had been none available since I L&S'd to an August 2022 sailing). Most notably, the guided KSC tour is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than it was the past two years. I'm not sure if it's an error or not, but I jumped on it!
