Anthem of the Seas 9N NE & Canada on October 24, 2019.  We just came off the 9N Anthem which sailed on June 6th.  It was our 40th High School Reunion Cruise.  We like Anthem - this will be our 3rd time cruising her...   [ I forgot to mention when we "YOLO booked" the Anthem. @Matt ]

Good point.  I like to try to boil down my rate to a per person per day calculation (apples to apples).  When I do I always add in all the perks like OBC to be consistent.  Also, I have been excluding gratuities, pre paid or otherwise.  I probably should reconsider that though.  It's nice to be under $100 per person per day for an inside.  Of course other room categories will be more.  Usually I find that Celebrity runs a bit higher than Royal.  Sorry, getting off topic with this...

I just drag and drop pictures.  Where you drop them determines where they insert.
On a phone or tablet the position of the cursor dictates where images are inserted and this works a bit different for different types of phones/tablets.

I am new here too and also lurking for years...
We started on the Carnival Inspiration in 1996.  Last cruise was Anthem in June and next is Anthem in October.  Next year's Harmony will be our 30th cruise.

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I've been reading / relying on the blog posts for years, finally decided to join in on the discussions.
A little about my (cruising) self:
I've been on 13 cruises, 11 with Royal Caribbean. My home port is Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ. I am a Diamond member. Royal ships: Anthem, Explorer, Freedom, Liberty, Adventure, Oasis My next cruises will be in September on Anthem to Bermuda (love that island) and Harmony in 2020. (Now to find one in between :))

Hello Dan,
I also just became a member after lurking for awhile. We are  diamond members. Due to life getting in the way our last cruise was 6 years ago but we are anxiously awaiting our 11 day, April 2020 cruise! And getting ready to book more! 
We’ve been cruising for about 22 years first 8 cruise were with Carnival cruises we then made jump to Royal Caribbean and never looked back.

I can't say for certain that this is the case every time, but in general, cruise lines (not just X) tend to strip OBC or other incentives for resident rates and other discounted fares.  It's another reason it's important to compare apples to apples when looking at prices.

It all depends.  If sales are strong don't spend a lot of time looking...
