The NCL article shocks the system, how very very sad. BUT, your loyal patrons are here standing by waiting to sail again. Speaking for my family we found ourselves comparing our land vacations to sailing every time and each and every time sailing came out on top. We know you are looking outside the box for ways to get us sailing again for everyones safety BUT glance back and look within also. Our TA family is working so hard and partnering with your patrons for an amazing sailing future. Concentrate on accuracy + speed. Raise the bar and pay attention to the details of our refunds and FCC 's. Please take a look and be as transparent as possible, maybe add one more step to make sure your loyal customers are made whole, the first time. There is a lot of confusion on this end. Re: monies out vs monies refunded. We want you to succeed, we enjoy so much and choose to spend our very hard earned monies with YOU. Please remember we will be at embarkation on the other side of this awful situation. Every aspect of our interactions matter, everyone needs to be important no matter what the exchange. Please don't relax to soon pertaining to your customers at this time, we do our best to advocate for you and cruising at every nasty insult, looking forward to sailing again soon, 12 June 2020 would be great! @AnnetteJackson and @Matt I explained on another thread but this is a good to know. Maybe, can you explain the process? I cancelled about 6 items on my cruise planner tethered to my November 2020 sailing on the Odyssey due to much better sale pricing. 5 items were refunded outside of a week with just one item a Chops lunch (I purchased three) so 21.99 still outstanding, I waited thinking maybe the person finished their shift and it would appear, for a week more it did not. So I called. Here is where it gets crazy scary, The representative told me everything was processed the computer showed this and to call my bank, I was kind and pressed firmly but calmly stated my bank processed everything it received; so she was kind and checked again. Apparently while the computer reflected the refund processed she went INTO the system and found my refund had NOT completed the process and she had to get a supervisor. Honestly I felt a mixture of vindication, wow and weird fighting for 21.99 while others are fighting for so much more but I refuse to just give my money away. So discussing and realizing @WAAAYTOOO brought up a great point, can this happen again to someone else? What if it is a sailng refund? So the concern I have is how can something show processed when it is not? I hope they can get this worked out because this is extra stress,and frustration no one needs. FYI they processed the amount again and said I would have it in a week. Stay safe and healthy all! Hope this helps and moreover hope this never occurs again. @mattylew we are in the same boat (ship) pun intended. We are scheduled to board 28 June 20. I am feeling 99 % we are not going. That being said we are waiting for Royal to cancel so we can use the 125% on a future sailing. I would love to go and will go if they sail, but not feeling all that confident. Since I can't control it I am just trying to let it go and roll with it. Fingers crossed the mitigation is enough for the cdc to lift no sail order and we sail, but that seems to be the sticking point. Sailing out of Florida I think helps a bit. Positive thoughts?

@Floski I know this is frustrating but I feel comfort for everyone who is in the capable hands of MEI. True professionals who will not rest until we are made whole and are happy. I know if my 28 June 20 Harmony is cancelled Sharla has got me, that is why I had no problem making the final payment, Sharla has my back.....and my wallet! @WAAAYTOOO yes I thought the same exact thing, that is the reason I took my time to try to explain what occurred, just in case someone else experiences a similar situation, they can refer to my experience and push the issue. Hopefully this info helps others, but I really hope it doesn't occur again. I was lucky, she could have just fluffed me off and then it would have been extra frustrating as I called my bank, then disputed the charge etc.

Update on cruise planner refund. I called today (because i was up and moving really early) about my Chops lunch refund, they refunded two but I purchased and then cancelled three in favor of the Key that had a great price drop. At first Royal said it showed all three processed and I should call my bank, I pressed because everything else was in order, I was calm and kind, explaining that my bank processed all monies so I believed they did not receive it. Thank goodness she was so kind and meticulously researched and she found the error. While showing the refund was processed when she actually went into the system the refund process did not complete, she apologized profusely and said she put it through again and to success, I should see the credit in about a week. How wonderful, stay safe and healthy!

I received some random refunds this morning regarding Cruise Planner purchases I cancelled on April 22, 2020. I cancelled the items and re-booked at a savings so I was really not expecting so soon. BUT the way they refunded was super confusing, not all separate the way I ordered and cancelled; but in clumps. The math does not add up and I am missing a strange amount. My accounting & receipts (I am very organized) reflect they refunded everything except one Chops Lunch, we had 3 people plus $1.00. I will wait for some time before I call but I am happy it was timely and at least a bulk of the monies were taken care of. I will give the $22.99 until the 30 days has expired, just wanted to let you guys know my experience, be safe & stay healthy!

NCL actually called me two nights ago. A family friend who swears by them and tried to get us to try them I believe shared the number for our convenience. The young man was sweet, he left a message about this or that great promotion. We were very happy our friends enjoyed NCL and expressed interest not to be rude. We have no desire to "jump ship" and head over to NCL BUT I too was surprised by the call, thinking humm? 28 June 2020 is our next sailing and I am going unless they cancel. We live in the Tampa area and will drive over to Port Canaveral. Until then lying naked in the backyard catching LOTS of sunshine rays, so I am good on the ship. (Very private backyard, no one wants to see that not even me, but I got your attention, no?)

Really making an effort to be in a positive mindset today, my teenager wants to go back to school! So sad, I think mama teacher ROCKS!! So can you help me? I would love to see a throwback like " Chorus Line" In addition I would love some great music (bands) maybe a Beatles or Eagles or Styx cover band, sort of like they do at Epcot Eat to the Beat. My muster frustration was the young lady did not successfully scan one of our WOW bands. We were harassed for days and threatened with who knows what if we didn't show up to another one. Notes left in the room, phone messages, the TV account OMG and we were there and it was just a nightmare. I was not able to relax the first 2 days because it was crazy. I finally wrote a note on one of the letter threats advising them to check the cameras and advised them of our exact location. I described my outfit, I was feeling wild and wore a shirt that I realized way to late looked as if I was a gigantic DISCO BALL! Good they can see that!! It must have worked because they finally left us alone. That whole ordeal was horrid. Squished in a pile of people, a long movie you could not see or hear and then "hey, come do it again" YIKES, much better after that was taken care of though. Stay safe and keep healthy all! As far as the Holiday choice, we have sailed both and for us we enjoyed the atmosphere better on the Thanksgiving sailing. I'm trying to put into words the feelings of this sailing, it was a relaxed "celebration" There were some larger families that seemed to get lost within themselves, it was so beautiful and everyone seemed so pleasant and joyful to be there. Well wishes and smiles from embarkation until well the last night! No one likes debark ? We also sailed Christmas and this had a totally different feel for us. We identify as Christian but don't really participate in the formal part of the Holiday, don't know if I am explaining this right. Anyway we felt the families this time were way stressed, fighting OMG it was crazy loud verbal to seething pensive looks we felt maybe the trip was built up and in the race to make it be their vision the joy was lost. Even the staff seemed a bit more just haggard, kind but simply exhausted. So this is just our experience but I LOVED sailing Thanksgiving so much I have booked sailings for that Holiday in 2020 & 2021 and when November 2022 is released I am there also, I wish to try to sail every Thanksgiving, that is how much I enjoyed it. Seriously our fellow cruisers all emitted a kind of thankfulness for the sailing and for LIFE it was BEAUTIFUL! Be safe and stay healthy! Good Luck....

Applause!! Thank you so much @Shari3, my cabana just dropped 300.00 $$$ The price drop along with my outstanding OBC made it affordable for the day. Now if that pesky no sail order can be lifted, can you do that too please?? I really appreciate your posting that, stay safe and healthy!

Thinking out loud here and would love some thoughts. The big three cruise lines Royal, Carnival, NCL (maybe DCL they never seem to be part of the conversation as far as cruise lines go) They all have different resume sailing dates. Do they work feverishly to be the first company sailing when the no sail order is lifted? Do they drag their feet to see how the first one fares? Are they all working together to put in place similar or identical mitigation? Basically, are they united in the common goal of bringing everyone back staff as well as patrons? At a time like this do they root for each other? They are all lumped together when the ignorant masses call them floating p. dishes (I hate even typing that, so untrue) I am hoping they ban together and re emerge healthier then ever before, and now that the masses are even more aware of the hygiene working together; can come back better then ever. I just think together they can be a force not to be messed with. Be safe and stay healthy!

I am on the Mariner in August also, the prices have gone up since I purchased some things. Sailing 03 August 2020 being optimistic. The water park cabanas were previously sold out on the first of the two CoCo Cay stops as well. I tried to purchase but it was sold out before my CC was processed. Now they are available but at 1,000.00 each, I can't justify that for the three of us, and I pretty much pose at the water park, I have zero desire to throw my perfectly safe self down those things LOL!! True story, a few years ago at Disney's Blizzard Beach a man was trying to be funny and wedged himself inside the fully enclosed tube on the slide. I was given the go ahead (no one noticed) and I took my turn, it was a very high slide so I had some speed and I am not little, 5'10" probably about 160lbs at the time, I saw him and could do nothing. I hit him hard, super hard thankfully with my lower body taking the brunt but into his upper torso, they said I broke his shoulder. I didn't break it, he did! So needless to say, I am traumatized and can't go into a closed water slide tube, that cracking sound underneath my scream, yikes I hear it now. I digress, no water slides for me!

We are booked in a Jr. Suite on the Odyssey of the seas for Thanksgiving 2020. I went ahead and purchased many things but then the 40% sale occurred. After reviewing the numbers and consultations with @Lovetocruise2002, I felt comfortable enough to bundle some things and purchase the Key which I felt was a better price then I have previously seen. So I cancelled and re-priced a great deal, huge dollar amount. Am I also looking at the 30 to 45 day turn around for my refunds? Thanks also to @Jaymac Radio, I purchased the water park passes for the three of us, quite comfortable I can tuck away somewhere thus staying with my family and not purchasing a cabana, as that price for this week is still super high. Hello everyone! Especially @Jaymac Radio Do you have a video? My question is for anyone who has experienced the water park within Coco Cay. If I purchase the admission tickets for the three of us and one of us (uh me) isn't to keen on the large slides etc is there adequate seating within this area to enjoy the day while my family enjoys the park? I see cabanas available but I can't justify that expense for the three of us, it is $1000.00 for our date. If I want to "chill" do I have to go out to the Oasis pool area? Thanks so much!
