The good lord knows I tried to get my Fiance's two teens out before 18 happens. Sadly next week we lose that battle with one. When we finally board (hopefully November) she's gonna be trapped in that dark "tween zone" . Can't hang at the teen club and can't drink in the adult clubs. Finding stuff to do on a shop the size of Symphony isn't as much of an issue as how or where she can meet others also in that "void" . Do they have meet and greets for that forgotten demographic? Little brother will still qualify for teen club in November and they are really close. Splitting them up is gonna suck. Anybody been through this and have any insight?

The vaccination doesn't prevent you from carrying the virus and being potentially contagious to others... Thats why they require the other test...

While not what I really wanted my Indy 5 nighter in March went away... I think what hurt most was how great of a price I got it at. FCC even at 125% wouldn't come close to buying another . Looked around and 5 night next march were few and far between . None on the class ships I want, from any of the ports I can easily get to, and the itineraries not really good. Still to buy something any other time that would be nicer would have involved a cash transfusion big time. Asked nicely if I could L+S into something less than perfect and the agent was happy to help. I downgraded a little to Mariner, traded Falmouth for Nassau but it took ten minutes a-z with a great agent. Thats a few times in a row that I have had that pleasure... Happy to see it. After a bunch of FCC and refund issues I've really settled on on L=S being in my best interest... I so desperately just want to get back on the water. Late 21 into Mid 22 are pretty filled in but if they start sailing before my next reservation in November kicks in, I will book other stuff.

Just because you don't have it don't think for a second you can't give it. It rides on your hair, clothes, hair, skin etc... To your question about other vaccines, Measles comes to mind. I was one of the early recipients of that vaccine from a Dr. Peebles (The Originator of the Vaccine) in Boston as a toddler. I still contracted the disease and carried it to the neighbors family. I would venture a guess there are many such stories for a myriad of vaccines and diseases...

No Agent though... I had to do it on bended knee begging and using my impossibly average looks... I'm seeing no 5 nights in the time frame so shoot for 6?

I was pleasantly surprised before so I guess you're right. Hit a home run on another one I did... Can't hurt to ask... I would cry if I lost the "deal" I got on this one...

I like most of you have been cancelled, rebooked, lifted +shifted, refunded, FCC'd and run around over these last few months. RCL catches a lot of heat but I still give them a thumbs up. This is a fluid situation for them as well. With each cancellation I have been able to make clear informed and wise decisions. I have been able to head off trouble by planning well in advance and making my moves when appropriate. Well...... I have a booking in harms way 5 night March run on Indy. This actually is the re booking of the very original that started this roller coaster. The original itself morphed into several new bookings. I found this particular one a few months ago. Perfect fit!!! Same ship, itinerary, length etc. To boot, I found it so dirt cheap I thought it was a misprint... Well here I am looking at it with its head on the chopping block if there is another extension. Also looking at it as possibly one of those so early in reopening that its going to be overly regulated, rigid and stuffy. With a couple of the cancellations along the way, it made sense to take the FCC and apply to another of similar duration, itinerary and COST. Then we had a couple that the lift and shift were home runs! So.... Looking at lift and shifts I see absolutely zero that match up with this one. No same ship, itinerary, length, etc... Looked at three departure ports even... Ok, look at a fcc and rebook. I am finding zero matching up any time and certainly not near what I paid for this one. Id have to cough up double on a smaller ship or shorter trip. I do see that Indy changes roles later this year then mysteriously disappears early next year as far as bookings. Seeing all kinds of juggling of schedules, itineraries , home ports and big voids in future choices. But maybe those voids will become viable choices? Suggestions?

In my case just one of several... Why bother... But it kind of adds insult to other injury that only a few of my cruises remain showing the same way as limited part of my cancellations shows...

Im Symphony for 7 nights in November... A couple times my trip vanished. Last night all my bookings and even past trips vanished. I'm hearing and seeing more of that with 8 night runs. Right now is fluid situation... Deep breaths everybody...

If I can be a part of helping get the industry back to normal I will do what I can... I'm of the firm belief that cruising can be safer than being on land. I'm semi retired and its the least I can do to help...

The endless stream of glitches I've grown used to. The loss of those nights and status level has always irritated the living heck out of me though. I don't think I have it in me to go through the steps a third time to climb the ladder. I should be within reach of diamond before too long, instead I'm treated like trash at gold which I passed through before and am in process of second time and were it not for these covid cancellations I'd be at least Platinum for the second time. Hard to stay loyal but its the kind of guy I am. Have spent too much time scoffing at other lines to turn back now... ?

Came back on after a while... The paid offs and remaining balances are in tact... On past trips. I ham showing a lone cancellation in that area . One of six that were cancelled on me (No fault of RCL either) . No points awarded (didn't deserve any). Wonder why that would have that lone cancellation there in MY C+A stuff but not the others. And why have any but not figure out what happened to 14 years worth...

Their site going haywire is nothing new. Tonight's "Glitch" has me twisted though... None of my cruises booked showing. One I was going to final payment it. If I type the res number on it I CAN get to Cruise planner but really no other details. Was able to find final payment amount but with system in mid hiccup I don't feel comfortable doing it. Its not due til after Christmas any way. The ones I have paid off nothing comes up ? Thats a bit bothersome as they are fairly high dollar ones (at least to me) paid in full... those ones are 7 night and after next Nov 1, so they should be safe from the "over seven" problems. The one not paid off is just 5 nights so again not in that over seven club. The part that bothers me the most though is that I am showing no past cruises. I've made mention along the way that they "misplaced" 14 years of my cruises. They have pre 2003 (Which were suites but they only gave 1 point a night) and post 2017... The ones between vanished and I didn't keep records that long. Poof! You might imagine my surprise when I went from just short of emerald to gold again... (Didn't notice til 2018) If I lose those points I worked rebuilding my status I'm gonna be way unhappy and if anything happens to any of my reservations of CP purchases I'm not sure how I will react...

I went same itinerary, different ship and different port... Got the one I wanted. What I paid was only about half of what the new one would have cost...

I had one of my 7 night bookings show closed a few days ago and was wide open to bookings last night. Updated: Checked and they are still taking bookings but wow the price is going way way up. Matt answered above the answer to that 9 nighter...

In response to something I saw about an Oddessy sailing (9 nights so. car.) in Nov2021 being cancelled, on another site , I decided t check. Had no problem doing a mock booking right to where it wanted my deposit... So I really don't know whats going on. I have 3 x 7 and a 5 night in 2021 and all are still showing a go...

I'm on one of those 7 nighters, in fact on the first ,,, I've talked a few of RCL agents on other things recently and slip this cruise in the conversations. They have all told me its looking like a go. In the past on the ones that did end up cancelling, they were more apprehensive about them actually going. I did a lift and shift for part of our group on it just a few days ago and they were curious why, as its still being shown as a go.

Ouch... They were great with us... Same class but different ship , same itinerary, different departure port and even snuck in a holiday the original didn't have... Cabins actually a little better but not a lot different.

I did mine by phone after researching as close to apples to apples. I found options that worked and they did as well. One was a dream option . I asked on that one and they granted my wish!

I really had no intention of using it but with pandemic and kids virtual schooling the school board took away vacation dates that would have been for one of our bookings. I researched other sailings that might work and gave them a call. I had a "favorite" in the list of potentials but figured "not in a million years". The agent read off the three most likely that would match up and then "Oh one more. Yes it qualifies" ! It was my dream trip. We locked it down. It cost me about $80 in extra taxes. But saved me over half of what I would have had to pay if I had tried to book without the L+S... If you are considering L+S don't let it get away without at least calling and seeing what you can come up with...

While they might protest. Its incumbent on people to show up healthy. Getting bumped would be part of that. Better than exposing a few thousand others. I would think for the one who tests positive that their focus might shift from "Oh rats, I'm gonna miss my cruise" to "Oh, crud... I have a potentially deadly disease... "... Its not the cruise lines fault you were exposed.

Saw posts today that Miami commissioners are ticked off at CDC for dragging feet...

Mine popped up while cruise shopping and I didn't have time to lay the flogging they deserved on them. Trying to impress fiancee's kids is tough when they are at the age of tech savy and the site glitches are too many to count. Much of whats on there appeared to be done by an orangutan and a crayon . Our next booking for example is a 7 night on Harmony. The trip description was right then became 2 nights Nov.1 - Nov.2. Cruise planner purchases had to be done by room as it wouldn't recognize us as one group in two rooms. The second trip booked is smooth as silk and shows as it should. Even there booking had to e phone assisted as "Pick your room" offered only "Guarantee" balconies... Lots of stuff missing from the planners that I know is there. Really too much to detail here... Would love for them to shoot me another one. I'd elaborate a little more...

4 package for me made great sense for the next few bookings. First off it was priced about the same as a 2 device package usually is. Then we do have 4 of us. The biggie though is that flexibility to sign out and in on different devices. Our kids will be virtually schooling. We had picked dates not in school and they just changed on us this week. So that kicked the necessity up a notch to go to surf and stream which is faster...
