  1. Matt posted this yesterday about FCC and health protocols. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/07/01/royal-caribbean-will-refund-your-future-cruise-credits-if-you-dont-new-health-protocols
  2. @CHRIS WONGare you the casino host this time around?
  3. Hopefully the requirements will change by next month. If they don't will need to look at my options.
  4. There's usually 2 concierge's we tipped $100 each for a 7 night cruise, we did need assistance several times from the time of embarkation. Just go with what you feels right to you.
  5. Wait!? What? They come to where you are dining to go over what schedule? They make a schedule for you?
  6. Cool, thanks for the info. Do you normally pay for the tours (as seen in the cruise planner) or is it complementary? The galley and bridge tour is available for my August 2021 sailing in the cruise planner. Not SC this cruise though.
  7. This is a link to ALL cruise lines visiting each port. Seems the ship I'm on will be the only ship in port. https://claalaska.com/?page_id=1250
  8. Can the Genie lockout the elevator car from stopping at other decks? This only happened we we did the galley tour, the host could lock out the car from stopping on other decks as the car was already full. What about galley, back stage show tours? Do I have to purchase them in the planner or can this be requested to my genie and receive a complimentary tour?
  9. Thanks for the information. Where do find out about cabin crawls? Never done this.
  10. @WAAAYTOOO you can order food and drinks for people not in SC or in your reservation? How do you know which Genie is on which ship?
  11. @WAAAYTOOOthanks! Excited but also n nervous as to what to expect from the Genie that's why you sharing helps me and other's thanks again!
  12. Oh that's going to be a disappointment, it's one of the reasons why we booked it. Have Ovation, Quantum and Oasis that's the ultimate panoramic suite.
  13. @WAAAYTOOOthanks for sharing! Will be doing SC first time next year. Have several cruises booked in SC. Do you know if they would bring in a dining table? Have the ultimate panoramic suite booked and wanted to dine in the bedroom looking out at the ocean. There's no dining table in the suite that can be moved into the bedroom. The dining table slides along the wall like crown loft.
  14. Congratulations @Matt!! Thanks for creating a wonderful place to learn, share and meet like minded people.
  15. The screenshot @WAAAYTOOOposted is what I received after purchasing my annual plan. Maybe it's something they are providing to everyone if their state allows it? Didn't ask for it but happy to have it.
  16. One of my cruises the sale opened up on the cruise planner, by the time I looked at the excursions which was pretty quick after someone said there's a sale but hadn't been announced by Royal my excursion was sold out. The other offerings didn't interest me so I asked my TA if she had a trusted tour operator which she did and now have an excursion very similar to the cruise planner for less money. No searching the internet or asking for suggestions just a link with a tour operator she trusts. She has much to loose if this goes bad because she could loose my bookings if this tour operator fails to get me back in time. I've had my cruise cancelled and she took care of everything no issues. My time wasn't spent on hold with Royal and no aggravation for doing the leg work. That's why I use MEI she is quick, efficient, reliable. If you booked the cruise less than 30 days ago can can transfer the booking to any travel agent and they will get the reservation. You can relax and if anything comes up just let your TA know.
  17. You can check to see if you can bid here: Cruise Room Upgrades - Royal Up | Royal Caribbean Cruises don't have to wait for an invite, they take anyone's money!!
  18. @twangstercan tell you all about filing a claim with them. Not a very good one at that. Have Allianz myself hope if a claim is filed it's better than his experience. That sounds like what my quote was for Premier with $15K cancellation. Oh by the way they say "some" policies cover covid-19. Mine does.
  19. Well this gives me hope, just placed my bid on several, see what happens. How many days from sailing do they actually award the upgrade?
  20. I would take the later flight. Seatac has a very serious shortage of TSA agents, they are offering a signing bonus of $1,000.00. Because of this shortage even the "CLEAR" lines are slow as well as PRECHECK. The lines can stretch from the TSA entry point to the PARKING LOT!!! Been there done that!!! HATE IT!! If that happens expect to wait 2 to 3 HOURS to get through the check point. Now it really depends on the time of day you are going that's why the later flight is better if you do experience what happened to me then no problem because you arrived early. Plus there's 13 coins right across the street and it's open 24/7 365 they have breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. Hope that helps.
