  1. Embarkation day dinner is a gong show. After that you can expect no more than a 15 to 20 minute wait which is better than most 'land base' restaurants on a Friday or Saturday evening.
  2. They only allow a certain percentage of seats to be prebooked. I would check at the box office on embarkation day or else go to standby
  3. The app has some outdated stuff. One of the shows on a recent cruise stated it was for vaccinated guests only which is not a thing either.
  4. Doesn't seem crowded at all. The only challenge is a deck chair on a sea day. The unreservable shows in studio B (battle of the sexes and quest) had huge lineups before they opened the doors. People were butting in line and we witnessed several heated arguments. Then when the doors opened and the dust settled there was still plenty of available seats for latecomers lol
  5. How many of these threads do we need? Seems there is a new one started every 2 weeks. I hope a mod just locks this. Nothing good will come of it.
  6. On Oasis a couple weeks ago the cruise director actually stopped the show and insisted that some teens who were there with their parents leave. Totally called them out and actually waited for them to leave, stating it is billed as 18+ on the app, in the compass, and on the signage. I've never actually seen that happen before but never really paid much attention to if underage teens were present.
  7. Not likely. The percentage of people looking to attend mass on a cruise ship is too small. A previous poster mentioned 200 people attending a mass on enchantment, that is less than 1% of passengers.
  8. Since all advertising for Royal shows the latest and greatest features I feel a first time cruiser (especially with children) should do Oasis class ship. Being on this site means you are doing some research which is good but you wouldn't believe how many people see advertising for Royals latest ship, then book the cheapest cruise they can find (usually an older ship) and are shocked when there are no water slides or zip lines or aqua theatre.
  9. On a cruise several years ago our cards were not registered at muster (old muster) for some reason and we were contacted and had to go to a muster the following day. I cannot remember how many people were there but it was a fairly large group
  10. They have a scale but not the weight, just a red or green light
  11. I am on that verge weight as well. Am ok on most slides but it varies from ship to ship and even slide to slide. Some are wierdly specific….. I can’t remember which ship but one slide had a weight limit of 243lbs
  12. I smell it all the time on cruises. I don’t smoke it myself but actually prefer the smell over regular cigarettes lol
  13. Is Nassau more of a short cruise destination? I have been on 13 Caribbean cruises and never been to Nassau. I don't purposely avoid it, it has just never been on an itinerary I have booked.
  14. Norwegian has officially announced that they are back to 'old' muster on all ships effective immediately
  15. Cruise because you want to cruise. Choose the ship you WANT to go on. Choose the itinerary you WANT to sail. Sailing to 'earn' points is silly as the overall benefits cost is generally not really more than the price of the cruise.
  16. We have been to Tabyanna beach club twice in Roatan. Amazing snorkeling right off the beach
  17. Last week the app was referencing some shows as 'for vaccinated guests'
  18. A 'friend' recently cruised and brought 2 bottles with carry on, and 1 bottle in each checked bag and had no issues. Bags were delivered timely with no issues
  19. Unbelievable, I sure hope these folks were cut off for the rest of the cruise
  20. When we got of Oasis yesterday morning in Miami it was 6 degrees celcius (42f), when we landed in Vancouver Canada last night it was 8 celcius (46f). I can honestly say that has never happened before lol
  21. Just got off Oasis and on our last scheduled sea day (Coca Cay day became a sea day) staff was clearing out towels and belongings off chairs in the solarium. This was done around 7:30 am. When nearly every chair in the solarium was 'taken' but less than a dozen of us actually present. It wasn't until nearly 11 AM when I noticed an irate 'hog' trying to figure out where their stuff went........nearly 4 hours after it was removed.
