What is cost of dining packages sold on board?
KristiZ replied to kelly S's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Welcome to the boards! There will be servers from the various restaurants roaming around the Windjammer and various bars right after you embark. They will be looking for people to book specialty restaurants and will most likely have a deal they can give you. You can ask about UDP, or you can just ask what they can do for you for a specific restaurant. We have gotten half off pretty regularly if we're willing to go one of the first two nights. -
On Android yes, on iOS no. We have been super happy with Google Fi for a number of years now, but we buy the Pixels to make sure we can access all the features. On other devices it's just not nearly as good.

It's not super big. Perfect for a week's worth of socks, underwear, and a few small items, but one pair of jeans will pretty much fill it. The $34.99 is available from about day 3, usually. Also, if you're in a suite or you're Diamond or higher you'll get a discount.

That's a pretty significant price reduction from what was available onboard. The 5 photos thing was the smallest package they had and it was something like $400 onboard. If professional photos is something you want, you should consider snapping it up. We stay in suites pretty regularly and had not noticed this benefit before, but we may not have been paying attention -- MisterZ is not normally a fan of photos but we must occasionally accomodate the mothers and their desire for family photos

On Serenade last month, it was a per session fee. They also gave a free session to anyone in a GS or above, and raffled off some free sessions in the casino the first night. Be advised, it is done by a contractor photographer, unrelated to the regular photogs that run around the ship. Also, the packages offered for purchase were all pretty large and what I would consider "wedding" prices. We did the session and even though there were some great shots we did not purchase anything because he wouldn't sell us just a few.

Time of the test.

Welcome to the boards! Yes, that is correct. They will open the Windjammer for dinner if there are enough passengers aboard, but they might not make that decision until right before sailing.

The KEY (includes Wifi) vs Just Wifi
KristiZ replied to MoMan12's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I fear the room service fee waiver was just a short term thing, to make up for the temporary loss of other perks. If they made it permanent I'd likely buy the Key regularly. -
The difference is 18% so I'm guessing they are refunding you in two separate amounts, one for the meal and one for the gratuity. For whatever arcane reason!

Bringing your own bottled water

It's super easy to release it back to the ocean when you're out at sea, no concerns or regulations. -
Yes, up to two days prior

I believe Jewel still has Hot Rocks, so no Hibachi

Personally I'd probably choose 9694, just because I tend to like higher cabins. But I don't know that there would be much difference between these two.

No lifeboats near that cabin. You're good -
Specialty restaurant offers once you're onboard
KristiZ replied to levib2's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Actually there are great deals to be had, particularly now with the reduced capacity, by waiting until you're onboard. The first day or two there will be servers walking around trying to drum up business and they can offer discounts. We just did this on Serenade last month. For example, we got half off Giovanni's because we were willing to go the first night. -
Yes, if you have not prepaid they are charged to your room daily and come out of OBC first.
-
Even if you buy Voom, the Chat is extra.

Serenade played Black Widow, Cruella, Here Now, and a couple of other recent movies on our October cruise.

Late traditional dining and show times.

Hi! Welcome to the forums! Let us know what ship and when you are sailing and we can maybe better advise you. -
Please add March 25, 2022, Enchantment Thanks!

Yes, I did see one spin class with like 6 people. Most of them were jazzersizery though.
-
Earlier this month on Serenade they simply held all the fitness classes out on the pool deck, so no masks required. This was easy because of the low passenger count.

Mine was. In fact it was 48 hours prior, because that's what we needed for our travels. Just tell them what you need and they'll work with you.
