We are sailing on Allure of the Seas on November 21st, 6 nights.
This is our 5th Royal Caribbean cruise ( all of which have been on Allure or Oasis)
We typically would pick my time dining and eat in the main dining room during the times that work best each dat but unfortunately we learned that since we are traveling with 6 kiddos under the age of 12 we could not pick that dining option because they are "unvaccinated"... so we are have to pick either between 5:15 or the 8pm option. This is a family cruise and there are 17 of us all together. 11 fully vaccinated adults/eligible kids and 6 kiddos ( ages 2 to 11)
I hate not being able to book our shows before hand so I know what dining option to pick.... But the cruise Compas did help and it helps knowing that they are typically 2 different times per each show. I wonder how hard it is to get reservations for the times you need? I do know that the unvaccinated are in the balcony areas and there are less seating there then in the main theater area.
Is the buffet available for dinner? Reservations required? I do not want to eat at the buffet for dinner but it might be the only option on one of the days we are at port as our excursion that we booked ( had another excursion booked but found out that again because we are traveling with unvaccinated kids that we have to book through Royal Caribbean ONLY and they must have an excursion booked to even get off of the boat)... but it doesn't get done till after 4 and there would be no way to get my group of 6 girls ready for the early dining option.
Less than 3 weeks to our departure and I am trying to get excited but feeling nervous we should have never of booked this cruise especially traveling with kids.... seems like alot of segregation and rules ( dining, shows, venues) specifically between groups of people who are traveling with kids who CAN NOT get vaccinated.
