  1. Thank you Jaullram, can you elaborate on the “amenities “ included with the Chill Island Cabana? Specifically the cooler, is only water bottles provided? What can I plug into” the private speaker,”? will any USB device work? and the combination safe, how large is it, can we stuff phones in it? Any info will help since I do not see much mention of these included amenities that are noted when I purchased. Hi, no response yet, anyone have info to help me on these questions? Thanks!
  2. Hi Speednoodle, XCarte Mexico, eight years ago it was called Snuba, might have changed by now, clear bubble like helmet with full view of surroundings , air hose coming out of top.
  3. Hi Kyle, a group of us did the Snuba at XCarte Mexico about 8 years ago. Super cool experience, you have a very heavy dive like helmet placed over year head and it sits on your shoulders. Due to the weight you sink/ climb down a ladder to the bottom, about 20 feet down. Your air hose floats up to the top for air and is monitored by many snorkelers and scuba people. You WALK the ocean floor with full view due to the round glass like helmet as the fish swim all around. They feed the fish & the fish swarm all around you, and you buy an excellent photo if that is still done. The group of us walked the ocean floor in a large ne, between parallel bars to keep steady and high fived each other around the bend/ turns. It was expensive, but we were already in the park & paid extra for it. Highlight of our trip and the only photos we were willing to pay for.
  4. Thank you Firebuck and Ashley Dillo. Great information, I will grab a Starbucks gift card as a back up for myself and the two 18 year old I am bringing on this cruise.
  5. Hi firebuck, can you explain more about “Starbucks coffee as long it isn’t a freestanding kiosk”. Are there kiosks that I can get coffee? First sailing on HOTS in June and want to be sure where I can grab my fastest paid for coffee in the am (in my PJ’s not)haha Thank you
  6. Hi! And for the sangria, very easy to grab an an orange /apple/ pineapple piece in a cup and bring back to your room and toss in! Yum. There is Sangria by the bottle, it’s an orange label.
  7. Thanks Twangster for posting the price sheet. I bought a new maxi dress online, got it and the fabric is dreadfull for traveling.
  8. Hello, I had a refund/re-purchase show the same day. Also, on the first purchase I had used an onboard credit, then did a refund so that on the second purchase I re-used the onboard credit and got the second purchase at the lower rate. I called Customer Service to assist with is just in case it was the last one & I somehow lost it. One phone call & everything showed fine on my cc billing.
  9. Great video CGLTH! I very much appreciate the quick view of the sand wheelchairs too. It’s a long video, but he’s walking quickly and an exact sense of what’s available today. Hoping to see what a Chill Island Cabana looks like and if there are stairs not.
  10. Hi, under the Royal Gifts, Onboard Ameneties, the alcohol bottle pictured is NOT the bottle you get delivered to your room. It’s the tiny 375 ml flat bottle.
  11. The video was excellent and funny thank you. Seriously considering it now. Drawback is that I was intending to have each person in my party have internet & was going to make the young adults “ share” one. Another drawback is that we are traveling with a group, so those that do not have The Key, we ditch in line , do not “ sit with” at productions, but getting off ship ahead of everyone is huge. * edit. Ok I compared prices, today it’s $680 more ( really good deals on Black Friday that included drink & VOOM). I am “ getting” 2 VOOM I don’t want, a “free” lunch at Chops or Jamie’s as well as other Key perks. So not enough for our group. If I was still in a wheelchair I would get this though.
  12. Thanks for the pic on the Downy smell good flavor! We are planning on spending time in the casino & others in our party will appreciate this, I hadn’t considered it!
  13. Hi, I am researching The Key as well, our HOTS June 2019 cruise has the lunch “choice” as either Jamie’s or Chops . FYI The 24.99 that you must buy for each member of your party, includes VOOM ( but not stream if it matters to you?).
  14. If we are sick or stay in the room, can/how are movies watched? Can I bring my own disks to use? Must I also bring a laptop to watch, or to pay for VOOM stream to a laptop? HOTS June cruise, balcony room.
  15. Thank you everyone, it’s our first cruise HOTS in June. I had better double check my dates & hotel accommodations today!
  16. Wow Matt, Excellent link explanation and photos. Thank you so very much!
  17. Hi, sailing HOTS June 2019 Chill Island Cabanas started at 749 went as low as 549, all booked now. Super great map of the NEW ISLAND & location of cabanas and with explanation of each food service at www.cruisemapper.com/ports/coco-cay-port-392 . I just rechecked and this works, way on the bottom is a beautifull map of the NEW setup on the island. Oh , I felt the BIG difference with the Chill Island Cabana is a combination lid lock for storage, & then as mentioned above a USB, cocktail table that houses conveniences like a personal speaker, private cooler stocked with water, towels, cabana attendant. I have read of a special food service as well as floats, but ours does NOT mention I get that. The clam shells Beach Loungers are all booked now got one at $37 FYI you buy one and two people can use/ sit\lounge in them , no indication of location of them though, probably due to construction since previous guests had mentioned the location was South Beach.
  18. Sailing HOTS June 2019 DBP Deluxe Beverage Pkg $52x7+18 percent gratuity= 364 or the DBP+ VOOM no stream $62x7 + 65.75 supposedly the 18percent gratuity in not calculated in with the VOOM amt = 499.75. Regular refreshment pkg was as low as 17x7=119+ 21.42= 140.42 with the current price as 20+gratuity
  19. Hi Jumully, I think I found what you are looking for? Port maps are https://www.cruisemapper.com/ports Then type in the port you want. I’ve read that Costa Maya Mexico was a difficult port to get your bearings too & had searched quite a bit to find this website.
  20. Hi, cupcakes are for sale “ Shop Royal Gifts “, section, it’s way on the bottom. Then to onboard amenities, culinary. There are 4 super cutely candy top/frosted for $12.99 in vanilla or red velvet. Then pick the date to deliver to your room or to your dining table. FYI there are adorable krispy treat flowers that are 3.99 each( just went up one dollar in price since Frid when I bought them). I did not pay any extra tax or gratuity. I know I am already getting my meals/desert for free, but to have these in the room when we first walk in will be so welcoming& worth the few bucks.
  21. Hi Pima, I had this worry as well. Loosing my cabana while I jumped on the lower price. I ended up calling RC customer service & they handeled it for me. I had used a “ credit” & wanted to get the refund, apply the refunded credit to the lower price. All went well & was accurate on my credit card bill.
  22. Oh thank you. I too wanted to research & needed the actual name.
  23. Hello, our Cousin lives in BC, and we have traveled there only once, adults only & had a fantastic time walking around the wharf/ downtown area. Of all the things BUG ZOO was the best experience in ANY city. Creepy crawly critters, you can look at through glass, or the assistant gets the critter out for you to HOLD!. Great pictures. It sounds crazy, but so much fun to see who will hold / let a tarantula crawl on them, or a large centipede or who screams & cringes! If it is still there, very cool glass wall of an ant farm. Worth it for sure.
