we love the Broadway productions on Royal, getting rid of any is a bad idea and shrinks any advantage Royal has over its competitors. Might as well go on Barnival and see some fights

as someone who live in buffalo and loved a good Beef on Weck, the Royal Kemmelweck was a huge disappointment. Shouldn't even be allowed to carry the name

thanks for the review I almnost booked for something to do in Nassau but saw some tripadvisor photos that made me second guess. I'll wait for royal beach club

Reflection and Silhouette have the same layout. The Passport bar or ensemble lounge would be the most similar to Schooner bar. Lots of space to sit and chill. Martini bar is a lot of fun, as is the casino bar. Solstice class ships are the best.

we did the dolphinaris dolphin swim with lunch and highly recommend it. it was a great experience. did not book thru the boat, just go to their website.

Concierge class is nice but really just a higher deck Balcony with access to the concierge suite. You do get the welcome embarkation lunch. I definitely have found them very helpful for reservations etc. I lost my keycard once and popped in there and they had me a new one in 30 seconds. Silhouette is a great ship, the entire Solstice class with Celebrity are our favorites.

As someone who primarily sails for the ship in the Caribbean 99% of the time (and lounges in the Solarium most days), Alaska was the one cruise I couldn't have cared less what ship I was on or what was going on around me... I was there to see Alaska. It happened to be Radiance and I have very limited memories of the ship itself (my only time on her or that class).
Full disclosure: We also spent 10 days on land pre-cruise (not via Royal) and that experience blew the cruise itself out of the water (no pun intended). I personally wouldn't bother cruising in Alaska again without a land portion (although it can be expensive and a cruise is better than not seeing Alaska at all).
Not trying to convince you of anything, we all like what we like, just throwing out some general Alaska thoughts.
completely agree, other than some morning quiet time before Port we literally never went in there. I spent far more time on my balcony than a Caribbean cruise...Alaska is amazing

Is there beach access there or just pool? Meaning can we swim in the ocean?
probably the calmest beach area on the island

We have been to both and feel hideaway is a much better value, we go to hideaway on every visit unless there is a serious sale for coco . There are plenty of seats away from the pool that are quieter. The pool is huge so you can always find a nice spot to chill. On our last visit to Coco the "upscale" food was pretty mediocre

comp offers are based on your Club Royal status level. You need 2500 points annually for Prime and the offers go up from there. I regularly get veranda for 2 people comps. I find Celebrity offers a little better than Royal.

check out the halfday duffle. All you need is that and 1 small roller

How old are we talking? I took my teenage daughter on a cruise without my wife and didn't have or need anything. maybe to be safe have a signed letter of consent from the other parent

just got off Celebrity Alaska cruise. In juneau we had a helicopter excursion cancelled due to weather and were scrambling for plan B. There are vendors as soon as you walk of the ship. Super nice, not pushy. We booked a tour to Mendenhall Glacier for $65pp super prompt and great guide. The Glacier area is awesome. I believe it was Juneau Trolly

We have been to Coco Cay more than a half dozen times. My advice would be to check the cruise planner regularly for sales. As stated above Hideaway beach is a great option when your toddler is not with you. It's our favorite spot and we go every time now. Depending on budget I would recommend Coco Beach Club with toddler/Grandparents. You don't need a cabana. Its a great quiet day, great service, and a nice pool area.

we took advantage of the late disembarkation you can get in Europe...to date still our favorite day onboard any ship. Your drink package is active, wifi, we just hung by the pool until 3:00 then strolled off to a private car we had booked. Stayed at an incredible airbnb right near the Vatican. Booked Rome in a Day thru Viator

Sounds like you should have gone to bed early...I've been to the Quest and have been "on stage" which was a little embarrassing but "abused" is a tad strong I think. Won't be cancelling any of my 30 days at sea booked for this year. Might choose to not go to the Quest

sometimes logging out and back in can help, I also need to disconnect my VPN, the app doesnt like it

Beach clubs/day resorts on Bonair, Aruba, or Curacao

Oasis beach club in Bonaire is fantastic...won't find anything better. Service, food, and drinks are all great. Rent daybeds online before you go. For snorkeling there is a dive shop that rents water shoes for the day. Defintiely worth the $6
