Any recent Brillance Alaska Embarkation experience
Fuzzywuzzy replied to MLH's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We were on this cruise with you! You have explained it very well. -
Alaska from NYarea or perhaps a different airport

Air Canada has 2 non-stop flights from Newark to Vancouver every day of the week. And vice versa. -
Life changing first world problems I'm sure.

Many of the cruise experts at CC and other sites have never been in any water deeper than their bathtubs. And that made them seasick.

Same here. My wife has developed a SEVERE dairy allergy. Even trace amounts can cause painful and debilitating results. I notified RC of this, via email, as a part of my pre cruise planning recently. They were ready for her. The head waiter greeted us on the first day and told us he was going to take care of the issues involving dairy in foods. It became the routine that after each meal he would show her the menu for the next day so she could make a choice and he would see that it was properly, and safely, prepared with any butter, milk, cream deleted during preparation. We had a wonderful cruise without any issues. Once on a Disney cruise I asked for sugar free syrup for pancakes (diabetes),and it took them 20 minutes to find some. On my last 2 cruises on the Adventure I had not sent an email prior to sailing but we told our waiters and they went out of their way in protecting her and even brought out "surprise" desserts (not on the menus) that she could have. There was even a dairy free creme brulee that was outstanding. This brought her to tears as she has missed that so much. I see alot of people trashing the MDR here but as for me I am a grateful fan. Except for that weird lobster mac and cheese experiment.

Pics were being printed and hung up for display on Brilliance earlier this month.

Nuclear powered cruise ships being explored
Fuzzywuzzy replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
The ship is not open to the public. Strangely enough the nuclear reactor was only removed last fall. -
Freedom of the Seas - yay or nay?
Fuzzywuzzy replied to Scooter's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We have sailed on Quantum, Voyager and Radiance classes. The Liberty has some sailings from Bayonne next year that we are looking at to put Freedom class under our belts. -
It may be your first but we guarantee it won't be your last. Enjoy!!!

A rubber band works just as well, but doesn't leave sticky behind.

I inquired about doing this on the Brilliance and was told no.

More ideas for Royal how to increase their revenue.
Fuzzywuzzy replied to Traveler's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Saw it. At free it's still overpriced. -
Cruises Only - feedback requested
Fuzzywuzzy replied to Billy P's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I booked 7 cruises through them. 3 were cancelled during the Covid troubles by RC.I have no complaints. You can basically do it yourself through their website, choose the cabin number you want, get insurance, schedule dining, etc. They also give me a couple hundred bucks in onboard credit. I had to call and speak to a human about the 3 cruises that RC cancelled. I got every cent I paid Royal back quicker than I thought. I used another agency for my last cruise (Alaska) because I needed to speak to someone in person for this cross country trip but I will use Cruises Only for my 2024 bookings. Your results may vary. -

Please knock it off guys...you're just gonna give them ideas. When it happens, blame yourself. -
Any recent Brillance Alaska Embarkation experience

It was exactly the same on July 30. -
I recently foot the bill for 9 People to cruise, including prepaid gratuities. Since I already paid over a thousand bucks in gratuities I was in no rush to now start pulling cash out of my wallet. Except for bartenders of course.

How often do they paint the exterior of the ships?
Fuzzywuzzy replied to squatopus's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I found it pretty common to see painting being done at every port stop and on every ship. -
Same here on the Brilliance. The overhead pull down too. Little room to move around. He told us he only comes in once a day. Except to drop off ice along with a printed Cruise Compass.

Are Luggage tags required for carry on?
Fuzzywuzzy replied to EddieC's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Exactly why we do it. Guess I'm not as smart as I thought I was. -
Why would anyone quit Disney? Oh, wait. Nevermind.

When I stumble back to our cabin at the end of the day I'm always too beat to even turn the TV on. I actually will only use it for background music anyway. Good luck.

The Bermuda Travel Authority program requirements ended November 12, 2022. The Bermuda Arrival Card is still in use for those arriving by air. Cruise passengers do not need to complete any forms.

Alaska, -Vancouver-airlines? NY or other airport?
Fuzzywuzzy replied to Pattycruise's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
As a P.S.: Air Canada has 2 direct flights from Newark to Vancouver every day of the week. And vice-versa.
