  1. I did for my last short cruise, but for the rest I've gone to policies outside of what RCL offers. The policy that I got through RCL (and there didn't seem to be a choice unless I missed it) did not offer much in the way of trip protection and offered no medical. Personally I need a policy that will cover me for work reasons as my PTO can be rescinded and/or I can be called back to work for court at any time. I also prefer to have some medical coverage when out of the country. If you do at the top right hand corner of the page there's a search engine and you may find some pretty extensive threads covering travel insurance.
  2. I had many Kracken Coladas on my last cruise.
  3. Good to know. I didn't even realize that wireless phone companies had affordable international plans these days, so I looked into it and it's totally affordable to do. Even if it's just for the one day that we're in Canada for our Ovation cruise it'll be nice to have.
  4. This seemed suspect to me - that's too much time between cruises.
  5. I bring a good old fashioned watch and set that to ship time (just in case phone battery dies). I don't even wear it, I just either loop it around a belt loop or stash it in my day pack.
  6. I went to Blue Lagoon in February. It's quite lovely - there was only one ship in Nassau that day so Blue Lagoon was very, very, quiet and relaxing. I did the Eco Walk (it wasn't much of an Eco walk since there's truly not a lot of Eco on the island - frankly I knew more about the natural history of at least the birds on the island than the tour guide did, but he was very funny and I still enjoyed my time). I can only speak for Blue Lagoon - we met right outside of the ship as a group and walked down to the end of the pier to the boats that took us to the island. I didn't snorkel but I thought the beach was lovely and the water was clear. I spent most of the time walking the island or lazing in a hammock under the trees. Enjoy whatever you end up doing!
  7. Not only could the discount go away during that time, but the shore excursion *could* fill up.
  8. Pinging @Matt and @twangster - I don't remember.
  9. Not yet. It's in the plans for the future, but I don't think they've said when it will be available.
  10. I stayed in a promenade-facing room (not balcony, but not sure it would have made a huge difference) in Feb and it's one of those "never again" situations. It wasn't a bad room, but I really missed seeing the ocean from my room.
  11. It will probably be a while. Things were available to book for my Ovation cruise 8 months prior to sailing. Nothing is showing up, other than Perfect Day, for my Feb 2021 sailing on Symphony.
  12. Yeah... this will be stuck in my head all night long at work. I could probably use it to my advantage, hum it out loud all night, and drive my coworkers nuts. #winning
  13. Ha, yes. Yes it is. I can't wait to get there in June - it's my favorite city. We'll be retiring out on the Olympic Peninsula. One reason it's not so expensive is that it's a friend of mine, not a pet-sitting service.
  14. Yeah. It adds up though. Only the hounds will be any real work - it's mostly just the inconvenience of her having to live at the house. When I take the hounds with I can have someone stop by the house every other day for the price of a small Starbuck's gift card.
  15. She'll be pet sitting 4 of those huge dogs, a cat, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and 3 small rodents and fish. Yep, they are pretty big dogs! (Borzoi, aka Russian Wolfhounds).
  16. We currently have 5 booked, 3 of which are tentative because I have no idea whether or not I'll be able to retain a pet sitter (we'll see how much she likes doing it this June and if $75/night is enough motivation for her). I'd love to book more, but between the cost of flying and the cost of the pet sitter...
  17. I'll let you know. He actually found another brand that he wants (likely due to reviews of Relief Band). I can't remember what brand it is that he found. We'll be sailing in June.
  18. Sorry you're having to go through this. It's one nice thing about working with a travel agent - they fight the battle for you (I know, doesn't help you this time, but something to think about next time). Do you have a common name? Are they referencing the correct reservation number? My husband has a very common name and things get confused for him all of the time.
  19. You'll let us know what you thought of it, won't you? ?
  20. Oh good, because I have one on Navigator, too, lol.
  21. I booked the same cabin on Rhapsody (different sailing, maybe the opposite corner) for Feb 2021. I watched several YouTube videos on the cabin. People seemed to have been quite pleased with it. I can't WAIT!!!
