  1. I"m just here for the comments #goals LOL
  2. I will reply regarding the 2nd question...we just cruised with friends in December. Our cabins were on different floors at opposite ends of the cruise. We just talked through our days at breakfast each morning and met up when we wanted to. We ate together each meal, saw all the shows together and hung around the pool together (usually, but not always) (and booked our next cruise together)...then just kind of let each other know where we might be. We were on the Independence.
  3. Also, there are lots of options on those machines for things OTHER THAN soda...I don't bring soda either, but always get the refreshment package for the specialties coffees/mocktails/bottled water/etc...
  4. We had a curtain similar to that on the first cruise we took which was an inside cabin.
  5. Can you purchase something, then go in later and "apply" those perks/points or do you just have to wait until they show up before you can use them? We were thinking about switching to the RC credit card for its perks...
  6. Actually those are the things you CAN pay for...there are plenty of things to do without spending money. I am only spending $33 for two beach loungers with a clamshell folding shade cover. The pool is free to use also.
  7. I agree...and have fun! I'd loved to do back-to-back or side-by-side cruises!
  8. so...another probably dumb question...what the difference between the Vooms?
  9. I'm going to tag on to this thread because I have some questions about The Key, also on Navigator in July. We are taking our 16yo DS and his best friend who will also be 16. We made our reservation through Next Cruise in December. They put my hubby and I in one room and the boys in an adjoining room... If we are interested in The Key, do we all 4 have to purchase it? Or can just my hubby and I? I've read lots of threads regarding The Key and don't seem to recall the answer to this.
  10. me too...we don't travel without it...actually i don't LIVE without it. even keep some in my desk at work.
  11. soda package and up...Soda, Refreshment, Deluxe...
  12. FWIW...i agree...if the price is the same-ish...i'd choose 10 days.
  13. Getting ready to ask a similar question and saw this thread...this might have been covered above...but We are bring our 16yo DS's best friend with us, he will also be 16 and he DOES have a passport...do we need a letter or something from HIS parents?
  14. The MDR menu changes daily. There is a section on the menu that is static...usually favorites...then each evening there is a section of different things. I agree with @ama537621 in that there is always at least 1 seafood option, sometimes more than 1. And my PERSONAL preference is MDR...it's "free". On a longer cruise we have done a two-night specialty dining, but we are more than please and satisfied in the MDR...especially since I'm waited on and served. If I haven't particularly cared for a dish in the MDR (which I can think of 1 time), the servers are very accommodating at bringing something else. We have never left the MDR unsatisfied or hungry.
  15. these are all good answers...and another reason that I am glad my "baby" is 16. LOL... But seriously tho, just enjoy yourselves...and those of us who don't have little's with us will give grace...(or at least I will).
  16. When we've flown into FLL, we rent a car after our cruise and head to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea...it's a quaint little area with shopping/eating/free public beach. We enjoy it and it gives us something to do besides sitting in the airport...
  17. we always fly the morning of our cruise...from Indianapolis... also, if I lived in Florida, chances are I'd be close to being a Diamond...because weekend cruises would happen REGULARLY!!!
  18. We use a bright colored ribbon or strip of material on ours to help us (and others) distinguish our luggage. ?
  19. We will be on there on the Navigator on the 10th. And the beach lounger was actually $33...NOT $35 which is what i posted. But also just make sure you are checking your own cruise planner. Things will come and go from there for you depending on demand at the time (i believe).
