The package covers any specialty restaurant whenever it is open. Order some Izumi sushi to go, grab some nachos from Playmakers to bring to the Aquatheater show, as long as they're open you can eat. I've visited CP150 and Chops in the same night (although I only did a takeout order for Chops for my evening visit). You can even schedule multiple reservations for yourself in the app in the same evening.

My first thought went to was that a typo and they meant March 2020, which would have been near the beginning of the pandemic? But then why wouldn't anyone booked prior to today, no matter when they booked pre-pandemic or not, be exempt? Would have been easy enough to word it that previous bookings are grandfathered in. It's a big change in policy either way. The only significance of March 19, 2021 I could find was that was the day they announced they would be starting to sail Adventure from Nassau in the summer. Maybe the focus on that time frame is because they didn't want to penalize the passengers who already booked on Adventure to having to get insurance for their kids? Just re-read and it's only for Florida ports apparently, so scratch that thought process.

That used to be a pretty tell-tale sign..if so, that's a pretty good upgrade price!

Adventure of the Seas most important question
AshleyDillo replied to OutToSea's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
They should be with your boarding documents that you can access through the website once you check in. -
Usually if the 3rd person pricing hasn't been locked in, yes there would be a reprice at prevailing rates for all passengers. You lock in the 3rd person pricing when you originally book.
-
The only I can see to do if the other family isn't going to get their daughter vaccinated is to see if they can't get your family in a 3-person room if your family still wishes to sail without them. Then you can at least get the FCC for the other 2 rooms to use later.

Was wondering that myself. I know it's sometimes an issue to properly have them apply the preloaded C&A discounts when I've made purchases in the past. Way more of a hassle than a punch card was, but it may happen. I doubt that's would change their stance on sharing the card, but digitally would mean whoever bought the card would have to order the drink.

I read it as though they're taking the friend as part of their party. And it is cancelable for a FCC under CWC up to 48 hours, but again everyone has to cancel. The full refund @WAAAYTOOO is referring to was what they were offering for the Freedom passengers, which I think was only offered because it gives the unvaccinated an out of they weren't comfortable with the restrictions. I don't believe they are offering refunds otherwise because of the vaccination requirements.
-
Since Galveston is requiring 12 and up to get vaccinated, then the friend won't be allowed to board. I'm not sure how the refund situation will work if she pulls out completely as you are after final payment. I'm not sure you can partially refund one member of the traveling party and get anything other than port taxes and fees back. This is definitely a call and talk to your TA or call Royal situation if everyone else is going to sail.

Complimentary coffee is your typical regular coffee. Refreshment package coffee and coffee card coffees are the same -- they are the espresso-based drinks such as lattes, cappuccino, and frappes, for example. Yes, you can share the coffee card with others.

Very nice monkey wrench in our cruise plans, advice?

You may be able to cancel the June cruise under CWC and get a FCC that you can actually apply to your August cruise. I If you want to add the baby, yes, they will charge for a 6 month old. It likely will cause a reprice of the current 2-person rate on that cruise. But this definitely where having a TA do the work to get you straightened out will help. -
The six months expiration limit is more of a catch-all for port entry requirements. They do differ around the world as some countries won't let you enter if the passport is expiring in less than 12 months. Most Caribbean countries don't require that soon of a renewal.

The cruise lines really pushed for an exception to the requirement for Passports for roundtrip cruises from the US and won.

Woof, onboard purchase prices just skyrocketed :(
AshleyDillo replied to HtownHolly's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
OBC will return immediately if you initiate the Cruise Planner cancelation. Royal initiating the cancelation is a different process where they likely don't actually process the refund until a bit after they cancel an excursion. The only caveat when trying to nab a price drop on a cabana is if you cancel yours and it gets sold before you can purchase the new one, you may lose out completely. I always caution to purchase a 2nd cabana at the cheaper price under another party in your cabin before canceling and releasing the one you already have. This won't work for you if you are looking to use the OBC that will be refunded. -
YIPPEE !! Finally August 21, 2021 Symphony Opens for Booking

I think you pretty much have your answer. If you want to pamper the wife, absolutely Star Class is the way to go. If I'm reading correctly, though, you'll be in a CP balcony for the second leg after doing the GP? That's going to be quite a downgrade from the GP.- 83 replies

Yes, they will if you ask for one at Guest Services.

@Tanner IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport) in Houston does have the Rapid PCR testing, but it is $250 per test ($200 if they accept the NAAT Molecular) and you have to schedule it ahead of time. https://www.xprescheck.com/ For a full family of folks it might be cheaper to just plan to hang the extra couple days in Houston after the cruise and get tested for free at Walgreens.

RoyalUp is run through a third party, so it's really their proprietary algorithms that they've devised along with Royal's guidance that rolls out in the execution of accepting offers. There are probably many different layers to this. You have to remember that moving one cabin up with an accepted bid can cause a chain reaction all the way down the line as other bids are there to take the now-empty cabin. So your bid being accepted may not even depend on how much you bid, but more if the cabin you are currently in is in demand. Then there's also the case of having promised bids ready to go in the case of last minute cancellations. The room was gonna be empty anyways, so might as well move someone up.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense if they are letting folks use a birth certificate + drivers license combo in lieu of a passport. If something happens, it really doesn't make a difference if someone has the Passport card or the DL/birth certificate combo as it would be a mess to fly home internationally. That being said, if you have a Passport card, you likely also have a Passport so might as well use the Passport. I think Passport cards were mainly targeted for the Canada/Mexico/US land travel and became an alternative to a REAL ID compliant drivers license/ID as well while the states all switched over to it.

You should be able to book for just 3 people and that will lock in the 3rd person rate for any additional passengers, so you could add your son later at final payment time when you are more sure that he will be going. The only potential snag there is if the cruise hits capacity in some way they wouldn't allow you to add an additional person. Basically, once there's no more room left on the lifeboat for the rooms in that area, they can't add another.

I had an interior on Freedom of the Seas and got a RoyalUp opportunity for an oceanview, promenade view, or balcony. I bid for the balcony at the minimum allowed and won it. Total price ended up being less than if I had booked a balcony directly even at the group rate for the cruise, so it was a win.
