We live in SWFL and we usually drive in the day of the cruise, however on our last one my wife wanted to go a day early. So we drove the 2 1/2 hrs to Ft Lauderdale and stayed in a hotel and drove to the port of Miami 45 min the next morning. Sheesh!!

I am not getting any notifications from Royal on the app ... and I chat with my wife with regular texts which is unlimited.

We were on Indy some years ago but on a short cruise to Cozumel and there were alot of 20's-30's that were just parting it up so much that we felt like we were on a Carnival ship. Have been on only Oasis class since and have a cruise booked on Freedom but it is an 8 day to the southern Caribbean so we hope it will be a more mature crowd.

It is not so much the length but the beam and interior volume is so much more on an Oasis class ship.

Oasis all the way everyday and twice on Sunday. You will need to book another cruise while on board as you will not be able to do or see everything on just one cruise. It just gets addicting after that....lol

My app only shows breakfast for the MDR for an 8 day sailing on Symphony. Says Sorry, menu unavailable.

Yeah my go to is Diet Dew but on board I am stuck with Mellow-Yellow zero. Fortunately it is not a popular flavor and have had no issues with it being out. But you can only get it at a Freestyle machine so it's the cupps for me.

They had 2 tables going on our Dec Oasis sailing. But you need to check every night and then you better have a real good bankroll. There was a husband and wife team one night on one of the tables.

On our Dec Oasis sailing the machines were constantly out of Diet Coke, Dr Pepper, and the root beers. Fortunately I don't drink those flavors and the one I do drink was always available.

Also look for cruises between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Kids are in school and it is a down time for the industry, good sales then. Bonus the ship is decorated for the holidays.

Upload your photos now as that will save you time in line. Everything you can do before you get to the terminal, do it as it will just have to be done there. Why slow done the line?

Got my cruises in during the promo. I did not take any extra cruises but got from Gold to Diamond.

Yeah my wife had to wake me up as I was snoring pretty loud out there. lol

We were in a suite for our Dec Oasis sailing and had a 11 am boarding time. Even with that when we got there at 10:30 am we and all the other suite guests had to wait in a suite lounge until the ship was ready. I guess there was about 30 of us waiting and only had to stand in line for about 10 min to get on once they started boarding. When you have to wait like that they do have cookies, pastries, and coffee, water, juices to drink.

If you could only do 1 beach day at a resort, which port would be better? We do not snorkel so it would just be a beach day, with shopping.

Wow!!...I have never booked directly. I have always used a TA. You know what?? I have never had a problem and on most occasions have saved money, time and headaches. Go figure??

We were on Oasis just a few weeks ago and I had one towel attendant tell me that green cards don't need to swipe for towels. Now I think she was seeing our suite sea pass card, but I never heard that suite guests do not need to check out/check in towels. I did keep checking out/checking in just in case and I never saw a charge.
