What are the seating arrangements?
PG Cruiser replied to lanlubber's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
I sail alone and I always ask to be seated by myself. I also request for that at breakfast in the MDR. -
The Key and Main dining room
PG Cruiser replied to LaVerne2003's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I’ve been reading about this breakfast on disembarkation day. From Platinum level, they get a continental breakfast. Where is this at? Is this the trays of croissants and other danish on the counters in the theater? How is the breakfast for Key guests different from the C&A one? -
While the app has helpful features, you can do without it during your cruise. Most of the ships I've been on supported Royal apps (IQ and the new one), but I've never really relied on them while on board.

Who ever said tablets were a 20th century invention?

For the head and chest-mounted cameras they said that those can fly off in very windy weather. For handhelds, they said they wanted us to have both our hands holding on to the handlebars.

Extension cords or power outlets?
PG Cruiser replied to Wisconsin Cruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Much of it depends on the inspectors at embarkation. Some of them may not even pay attention to your power adapter. But some may be more strict and decide to confiscate it. -
Add the chorus of the "Wash Your Hands" song. @twangster, is that where you got your signature?

The Key on Empress of the Seas
PG Cruiser replied to PG Cruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Uh-oh ... I'm afraid of heights. I can't even jump off a table. (Seriously) -
Duct tape takes much less space ... just kidding

I'm looking at the Key for my Empress sailing which is just $5 more than a VOOM Surf + Stream package. But with the limited activities on Empress, I don't think it will be worth it to pay an additional $40+ for it. CONSIDERATIONS: Summary of your benefits: • Priority check-in and boarding on Day 1. Upon arrival at the terminal, follow The Key check-in signage to your designated check-in area. I'm not planning on being there early. I like checking in just a little before noon so I can head straight to my room after lunch. Plus I get priority check-in with my Emerald Status • Carry-on bag drop off and delivery to stateroom. Drop-off your carry-on bags in the Main Dining Room until 1:30pm. I only have a back pack for my carry on • Exclusive welcome lunch in the Main Dining Room featuring the Chops Grille menu. Seating is from 11:30am – 1:30pm. This I like • Private hours at onboard activities including Rock Climbing, FlowRider and more. The private hours schedule will be provided on the welcome letter you will receive onboard on Day 1. Not relevant on Empress (I think) • Priority departure at ports of call from ship-to-shore. I'll probably benefit from this with the tenders on Grand Cayman • Seats in the exclusive VIP seating section at shows in the Main Theater and Studio B Will I need this? • VOOM ® Surf & Stream 1 Device high speed internet. This I like • On debarkation day, enjoy an exclusive à la carte breakfast and choice departure. My plane doesn't leave until 1:30PM so I'm not in a hurry to debark. Don't I get the à la carte breakfast with Emerald too? * When you receive your SeaPass card, it will have an icon confirming your purchase of The Key. I like icons on my card ... ha ha What do you think?

Bravo Bravo Bravo ??? NOTE: That's not Italian for "good job"!!! -
Is it just me or does anyone else here feel jealous and left out when we read of our friends here organizing bar crawls and stateroom crawls?

Extension cords or power outlets?

Just make sure that your power adaptor doesn't have a surge protector. I've read that surge protectors don't work well with ships' electrical systems. You don't want to be the cause of a power outage on your deck, do you? ' -
Apps offer a lot of convenience WHEN THEY WORK. For some reason, I often have trouble accessing the app when boarding cruises, planes, and other modes of transportation. I experience the same when trying to use store coupons and groupons. If you plan on going digital, take screenshots of the passes, coupons, and tickets. It’s easier to access the Photo Album on the device than the app itself, especially those that need internet connection to operate.

Thanks! English is not my native language. Learning the right way to say something is important for me.

How do you order that? ”May I have a virgin Pina Colada and a shot of rum?”
