Has anyone got to the bottom of this yet? I’m sure that Matt said on one of the podcast episodes that you could use the dining package in Playmakers but there seems to be a strong opinion both here and elsewhere on social media that you can’t. TIA Stu

I agree there is no rational but if they are trying to block VPNs in general it’s easier to just block everything than be selective. Its not a good thing though and I think will cause wider issues.

There have been a few posts on FB etc speculating about the fleet wide blocking of VPNs. Just as an update we are currently on Oasis and VPNs are most definitely blocked onboard. I guess for most people it’s not a big deal but I have to say I personally find it annoying. I want to use it for perfectly legitimate use. Having said that I’m sure it’s not a deal breaker for anyone! There are workarounds of course for those tech savvy enough to know but I don’t really want to go down that road.

I’m sure this has most likely been asked before so I apologise in advance. I have purchased the ultimate dining package for my Oasis cruise later this month and wanted to ask about Izumi Hibachi. I’m sure I read somewhere that it wasn’t covered by the package but I wanted to know if the $35 credit would be applied against the cover charge or is it simply a case of the full charge being applied to my seapass account? many thanks in advance!

On our Anthem sailing RC had actually gone to the trouble of blocking the Invicta website on Voom, presumably so that people couldn’t check prices. Of course Amazon etc were still available showing that actually there were no savings at all.

I can’t really see how they could stop this. You get a password that is good for two devices to be connected at any one time. You can log those devices in and out and use others. So for example I would have my phone connected for the most part but would switch to my laptop to work. With so much flexibility I can’t see how they would detect whether the devices were from the same booking or not.
