The setsail pass is on the new app which is Royal Caribbean International or the old app which is Royal IQ app. The person checking you and your group in scans and confirms that it’s you and hands each person their own sea pass card (if they are at the terminal) or your sea pass card could be outside the stateroom door in a envelope with the names of the people on the reservation. And that is how it works with the Royal Caribbean International app, and I am not sure if it works the same way with the ROYAL IQ app, but what I do know is that with the Royal IQ app you will have to buy an internet package for the app to work onboard the ships that still use the Royal IQ app, and to use the chat feature in the Royal IQ app you will have to pay $7.95 per device for the chat feature. With the Royal Caribbean International app you do not need to buy an internet package for the app to work onboard the ship and the chat feature in the app is free to chat with people on the exact same ship and sail date as you once onboard and you have added their name to the chat feature in the Royal Caribbean International app.

Royal Caribbean Beach Towel from Cruise Planner
Bakerette replied to Gwachitallemalla's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The towels that RC sells online is totally different from the ones that is available for use while on the pool deck. The towels that they have for free at the towel stations on the pool deck have to be returned to the towel station when you are done using the towel that you borrowed from the towel station. Also the free royal Caribbean towels can be obtained on the island at the port of calls, but must be returned to the royal Caribbean towel station on the islands before boarding the ship at the end of the day at the island that the ship has docked at for the day or days. if you buy the towel that Royal Caribbean sells online then you do not have to return the towel because it is yours to keep and take home with you, but if a free towel that you have borrowed from the towel station while on the pool deck or at any of the port of calls is not returned then each towel that you did not return will cost $25 and that amount will be added to your sea pass account and you will have to pay for those free towels that are offered at the towel station that were not returned by the end of the day that you borrowed the free towels then you will have to pay for them. Hope that makes sense to you. -
Port Canaveral charges $17 a day. For a weeklong cruise they charge for 8 days, not 7 days. You would have to pay for 8 days of parking @ the cruise terminal and that would cost you a total of $136.. if you search on the internet for off-site cruise parking near port Canaveral you will see a lot of places that charge about $7.95-11.95 a day for parking which is less than what port Canaveral charges per day. Consider off-site parking if you want to save money, but if you don’t care about the cost of parking and want to be close to the cruise terminal entrance on the day of embarkation and the day of disembarkation day then park at port Canaveral

If your married or anyone else in your household that has signed up for RC’s C&A society and has been in enough cruises to obtain platinum status and has signed you and your wife/husband up for the C&A society and has the same last name as you, then you & your husband/wife is now whatever status that they have because that person has the higher C&A status of your household. If anyone in your household has been on several RCI cruises and has earned enough C&A points to be platinum, then you will now have the same C&A status as your Husband/wife/other family member but will not have the same amount of points because you are starting from 0 points but will have the same C&A status as you wife/husband/other family member.

I would guess that the key purchasers would dine in the MDR or if there is a Jamie’s Italian or a Giovanni’s Table on Ovation then the people who purchased the key can dine there for lunch on embarkation day, but if I were you and had purchased the key i would ask an employee “where do the key members dine for lunch?” when I board the ship on embarkation day. If your staying in a grand suite and above then you can dine @ CK for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Boardwalk balcony & Johnny Rockets Milkshakes
Bakerette posted a topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Are the Johnny Rockets Milkshakes included in the free meal voucher that is offered as a perk with boardwalk balconies and does the voucher included with boardwalk balcony that is valid for lunch at Johnny Rockets and is the milkshakes included in the meal voucher or do I have to pay extra for the milkshakes? -
I agree with @AshleyDillo. If the limit is $13 dollars & you order drinks that is more than the limit you would have to pay the pay the difference plus the 18%gratuity charge on the difference between the drink package limit and the price of the drink that you ordered.

Since I live within several hours from four of the cruise ports that I cruise out of I am able to drive to the port the day of embarkation, but if I had to fly to the port of departure I would make sure that I flew into the port of departure @ least 1 day before and stayed in a hotel that night. If for some reason the plane is delayed and the plane does not takeoff or land on time and the airline lost your luggage, and if you had to go pack to the airport to pick up your lost luggage on embarkation day then you would have enough time to get to the airport to pickup you missing/lost luggage, and you would also have enough time to get to the cruise terminal to go through security, checkin, and board the ship. My very first cruise was from port of west palm beach to FreePort, Bahamas durning the Middle of July which is in Hurricane season. Hurricane season is all summer from June 1st (Hurricane season really picks up in late July through the end of October) to November 30th. Hurricane season is in the JASON (July, August, September, October, and November) months. Port of west palm beach is 1.5 hours north of port Miami, port everglades is 40 minutes north of port Miami. I have booked a cruise for November 2020 but since my cruise is at the very end of hurricane season there will not be any more hurricanes after hurricane season has ended.

Traveling with 1 year old - Options on bottle of water.
Bakerette replied to A.Musa's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I have been on 5 cruises and have not drank any smelly water (bottled, still, sparkling and tea) and even had ice in all of the drinks I ordered that required ice, Royal Caribbean allows non- alcoholic beverages, and 2 bottles of wine/champagne(750ml) and for infant/ dietary/ medical use You are allowed to bring milk and bottled water to be used to make infant formula or for dietary or medical use, but not be for non-medical related purposes and to be drank by people who is not an infant. CRUISE SHIPS NO NOT HAVE SMELLY WATER IN MY OPINION. You can purchase a 12 or 24 pack of 1 liter bottled water through the cruise planner and they will deliver it to your so it is there when you enter your cabin. The price of the 1 liter bottled water package is $39 for 12 bottles & $68 for a pack of 1 lite bottled water. There is also milk, juice, lemonade, and tea (if you’re son likes like to drink any any of those for types of drinks) which is free. -
If you booked 2 connecting balcony rooms then the balcony divider can possibly be opened up to create a larger balcony (the size of a Junior suite balcony)
-
Yes it is worth buying a drink package if you know that you are going to have 5 or more different kinds of drinks a day like mixed drinks, coffee’s from cafe promenade , water, virgin mixed drinks, sodas, and etc. A can/glass of soda cost $3,25 each, coffee can cost $5 or more, cocktails and other types of alcoholic beverages cost minimum of $13 per drink. The dx package is $57.99 a day, refreshment package is $26.99 a day, & the classic soda package is $8.99 a day.
-
Also if you go to the spa and did not pre purchase any spa treatments and booked onboard the amount of the spa treatment would be charged to your onboard expense account. Agree with what @Sh2738said about things not free or booked in advance, beverages not covered under the package, & additional tips and other charges made onboard.

I would get the cheapest internet package that RC offers which is the VOOM surf for 1 device which I think cost about $13.99 a day, which I think would be worth the cost because then you can send as many text that you want with no charge, others will be able to text you back without your phone getting charged for those received texts while at sea, & you will be able to make WiFi calls without paying a per minute fee for making calls or picking up calls or for just simply having your phone on and not answering the phone when people call you and letting the calls go to voicemail. ALSO IF YOU ARE GOING TO ONE OF RC’s PRIVATE DESTINATIONS/PRIVATE ISLANDS LIKE LABADEE, HAITI OR PERFECT DAY @ COCOCAY IN THE BAHAMAS OR ON ANY OTHER CRUISE LINE GOING TO A PRIVATE ISLAND, THE CRUISE SHIP INTERNET CAN BE USED AT MOST & IF NOT ALL OF THE CRUISE LINES PRIVATE ISLANDS FOR THE LINE THAT YOUR CRUISING ON. A few years ago my mother and I was on a cruise and even through we did not use our phones at all durning that time, our next cell phone bill has accrued $50 of roaming charges simply because people kept calling my mothers phone and even through she did not answer the calls and let them go directly to voicemail we were still charged $50 extra dollars because we did not purchase the cruise ship internet which was cheaper 4 years go when the cell phone company charged more because her and I did not know to put our phones in airplane mode and turn the cellular & wifi off if we did not want to use our cell phone but now we purchase the internet for all devices that we will be using on the cruise and turn airplane mode on and cellular data off after connecting to the ships WiFi. in December 2018 I was cruising with my mother & both het & I got the internet package so that we would be able to text each other if we wanted to meet somewhere at a specific time, but on that cruise I had packed my laptop so that most days that week I could get some school work done durning the cruise and when I was finished with school for the day I went to another area of the ship, which is where I received a text from my mom which I did respond to, but it took forever to send the text because I had only gotten the internet package for 2 devices & not for 3 devices because I knew that I could logoff the WiFi on one device and login to the WiFi with another device, and since it took sssoooooooooooooo long for the text to send that i realized I forgot to logoff of the WiFi when I was done with my school work for the day, and I had to go back to the cabin to logoff of the WiFi from my laptop and login again on my phone, and the text that I had previously sent went through right away.

They could wait until RoyalUp is finalized before they finalize your room. One time when I let them pick my room I did not find out the room number or where the room was located until a few days before my cruise, so the same thing might happen with your room; especially since the people who bid on staterooms through RoyalUp have to be denied or accepted before they can pick your room. There is a chance that if they don’t have any balcony rooms left when they pick your room, they could automatically upgrade you to a suite @ no additional charge unless you made a bid for a suite through Royalup and the bid was accepted.

Booking entertainment on Symphony
Bakerette replied to jdown077's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You have booked all of the shows that need reservations. Continue checking the cruise planner for deals on Drink packages, WiFi, spa services, dining packages, excursions & activities. If you want to purchase WiFi for you and you group then select a multi device WiFi package and you will save money, vs paying for lots for single device WiFi packages. Mid you know that you want to purchase the soda package or ultimate drinking package and WiFi, I would suggest that you purchase the soda & WiFi package or the ultimate drinking & wifi package and you will save. For example on my April 2019 cruise I wanted to purchase the soda package which @ that time was $8.99 a day & I also wanted to purchase the internet for 1 device which @ that time was $13.99 a day, so for $21.00 a day I got the soda package and 1 device WiFi. $13.99+8.99=$22.98*7 days=$160.86 for the week, Whereas $21.00*7 days=$147 for the week for both the soda package with the WiFi package. I save 13.86 because I purchased the soda and WiFi combo package. I Brought the soda and WiFi combo package for me and the other person on the reservation and paid $294 vs paying $321.72 for 2 soda packages and a 2 device WiFi package. -

I have checked I myself in online via my laptop and have checked in the other person on the reservation using the App and when we got to the terminal after I checked both of us in I was able to view both of out set sail passes but was not able to get priority embarkation(or expedited embarkation as you said) because I was not staying in a suite, high up in the CAS (Crown & Anchor Society which is Royal Caribbean’s loyalty program) and did not purchase “THE KEY” THE KEY has several benefits like priority embarkation and disembarktation, internet access is included in the price, special reserved seating at all shows and special times for popular activities and being one of the first people to walk off the ship at/ be on the water shuttle to the ports of call. SINCE THIS IS YOUR FIRST CRUISE CONSIDER PURCHASING “THE KEY” IF YOU ARE NOT STAYING IN A SUITE and WOULD LIKE ANY OF THE BENEFITS THAT I HAD INFORMED YOU THAT “THE KEY” OFFERS.

I saw a few YouTube videos that for all of the Oasis Class ships (Oasis, Allure, Harmony & Symphony) that you should drop off your carry on bags in the Royal Theater which I think is where you would also get your internet access code(s) since that is included as one of the key benefits, or the internet code(s) are on a table in your stateroom, but I could be wrong about where you get your internet access code(s)for the key members, .

Make Up/Cosmetics stores (and Pricing)
Bakerette replied to Phillo's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
When I was on Harmony in April I was considering purchasing either a lotion, Perfume, or shower gel by Victoria secret(also sells makeup @ beauty by Victoria secret stores) but then I did not see a scent that I liked, so then I looked at the brand URBAN DECAY makeup (U.S Brand) that is sold onboard and the section of makeup is so small that I could not find any colors in the products that URBAN DECAY sells on the ship, I waited until I was onland to purchase makeup because the stores onland would have a bigger selection of products and more than one collection. i waited until I was in my home country or at a destination that had cosmetic stores with huge selections of makeup & beauty by Victoria secret stores, because I knew that I could purchase the items that I wanted in multiples at a much cheaper price then I would pay for 1 cosmetic item and 1 or 2 beauty items on the ship. THE CRUISE SHIPS CHARGE @ LEAST 3X MORE PER ITEM THAT IS SOLD IN THE ONBOARD SHOPS THEN AT THE STORES OR WEBSITES WHERE THE ITEMS AFE SOLD. THE ONLY STORES ON CRUISE SHIPS THAT DONT CHARGE MORE THEN A STORE THAT IS ALSO ONLAND AND ALLOWS ROYAL CARIBBEAN TO SELL THAT STORES PRODUCTS IS KATE SPADE, MICHAEL KORS, COACH, TIFFANY AND MORE. -

I totally agree with you. -
Based on topic name “Central Park Balcony Perry’s?” I can tell you that since I sailed on an Oasis Class ship in a Central Park Balcony that the perks for a 7 night cruise complimentary bottle of red wine, casino lesson & Lunch @ Chops Grille, Jamie’s Italian, or Giovanni’s Table. The Central Park balconies and boardwalk balconies are only offered on Oasis Class ships & if you search on their website for Oasis, Allure, Harmony & Symphony of the seas sailings you will notice that they offer offer 7 night sailings & that the Oasis Class ships almost never have 3-5 Night Sailings.

The Key availability based on C&A status?
Bakerette replied to Searocker's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
If your cruise is not paid off then you can call RC & provide them with your reservation number & tell them that you would like to change to a seven night sailing. If you booked the non-refundable option then you would have to pay $100 per person to change the ship & sailing date, BUT if you booked the refundable option then you would NOT have to pay a $100 change fee per person. If you had already paid off your cruise and it is within 3months/90 days before then your cruise you will have to pay the difference to upgrade from a 4 Night sailing to a 7 Night sailing and to change ships and sail dates. -
I want to purchase the Key but I am not sure when the key would be available to purchase. Could anyone with experience of 'the key’ tell me when it becomes available in the cruise planner and also tell me what is included with the key besides what it says on the cruise planner?

The Key availability based on C&A status?
Bakerette replied to Searocker's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The Key has nothing to do with C&A status. If the key does not appear in the cruise planner could be sold out. If you are D, D+, or Pinnacle you do not need to purchase the key because the benefits that you receive from C&A & the key overlap each other. Since you and 2 other people in your family are Diamond you did not need to purchase the key because the benefits that you receive with your C&A status & the Key overlap. Your sister who you said is Emerald needs to purchase the key if she wants to receive some of the same benefits as D, D+, and pinnacle club. Anyone that’s Gold, platinum or Emerald should purchase the key because the benefits that they receive does not have as many benefits as D, D+, and pinnacle club members receive. -
What I would do if I was in your situation I would attempt to print your son’s set sail pass again and if you still cannot print his set sail pass then download the Royal Caribbean app & login & in the profile & account section of the app you will see a section that says view set sail pass if you had already completed the online checkin. You can use the digital set sail passes to checkin at the cruise terminal. The digital set sail passes will have the same information on the set sail pass as the printed version of the set sail passes When I checked my mother & I for our last 2 cruises I was able to print out both of our set sail passes but I chose not to because I knew that I had downloaded the RC app and could use the digital set sail passes to checkin at the cruise terminal.
