Yes, they are like Viator. In 2020 I had booked quite a few tours with them for a canceled vacation in Europe. Of course I never got to take the tours but I did get a prompt refund from them.

Not that travel appears to be on the cusp of opening back up, has anyone noticed any increases in trip insurance premiums, specifically those through third party providers?
-
Great. That's what we picked. For some reason we always pick the starboard side.

I, too, have been working with Kathy and highly recommend her. She worked very hard yesterday to get my Odyssey OTS cruise set up.
-
Thanks Twangster, that makes sense.

Cabins are already small. How much room does a pullman take when folded up?
-
I have looked on the web for photos of how Odyssey OTS pullman beds are configured. Since Odyssey is new there are no photos, but I figured it would be the same as on Spectrum. The cabin I am looking at is for three people. Is the third bed just part of the couch or does it pull down from the wall / ceiling? TIA

I am considering taking the Odyssey OTS transatlantic in Oct 2022. It goes from Rome -> Valencia, Spain -> Malaga, Spain -> Madiera, Portugal -> FLL. It seems that the starboard side will be facing shore. How far out in the Med do these ships usually sail? Will I be able to see the coast as we cruise along? TIA Steven

Royal Entertainment Hint

Do they really open the side of the ship to change out sets? More details on this would be interesting. -
I enjoyed Tulum, but we didn't get to stay very long. I took the RC excursion to make sure that the ship would wait for me. I wish that they would have skipped the stop at the souvenir store and had less shopping time so that we could have stayed at the ruins longer. Overall, I am glad that I did the excursion.

Deck Chair "Parking Meters"
stevendom57 replied to stevendom57's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You could even get fancy and allow someone to reserve the chair automatically when the first person's time runs out. Using the onboard app the chair could text you and tell you that your chair is available. Hmm, does anyone have a phone number for the patent office? -
Deck Chair "Parking Meters"
stevendom57 replied to stevendom57's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Quite a bit. You could cut back on the cost by doing it only for the desirable chairs around the pools and the half-shell type cabana type chairs. All of the chairs on the upper decks looking out over the water could be the regular "unmetered" type. There are always plenty of those available. -
In an effort to thwart chair hogs has anyone considered a "parking meter" type contraption on deck chairs? It would be simple, scan your cruise card and get 60 minutes of time on the clock. Put your books and towels on the chair if you wish. When the timer goes off a crew member can remove the items and free up the chair. If you are legitimately in the pool area, go top off the timer and get another 60 minutes.

Proving that you have had the vaccine could be a problem. Those without the vaccine would feel oppressed. -

I have found a similar capability with Kathy Geiger, also of MEI. She was able to find a cabin to my specification that was not visible to me online. -
I found some pretty good deals on my Labadee visit in about a year. Thanks

Passports vs Birth Certificate for Cruising
stevendom57 replied to Reigert2008's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
This topic is proof that we are getting close to sailing again. The fine people on this board know much more than RCG, CDC, and any of the other alphabet agencies in the government. When talk changes from "are we sailing" to "what do I need to sail", we are almost there. -
I don't understand why, if the cost increase is more than $100pp for refundable, it is considered worthwhile. What am I missing? If I spend $200 to possibly save $100, how is that worthwhile?
