  1. Bath robes all depend on the level that they are in the Crown and Anchor, if they are not at least Platinum or above then they will not have them in the room. The type of room does not matter, if you order them and have a inside stateroom then they can still get them, the main factor is their C&A status.
  2. You will have NO issues finding water, I have found that certain Coke Freestyle machines will dispense water (yes even if you don't have a drink package) if you look at the screen some will have a small blue water button on the main screen, so you will be able to tell immediately when you walk up to it. Second I also carry a YETI (or similar) cup or drink bottle and use it heavily. You can also get water at Cafe Promenade, they usually have a water station there, to be honest unless you are on a very small ship such as Majesty of the Seas there will be places that you can get water in far more spots that you think. It seriously is not an issue whatsoever! We do not get the drink package and are about to go on our 10th and have not had an issue finding water yet!
  3. Welcome to the boards, we are going to need just a little more information before we are going to be able to help you out. Which port are you leaving from?
  4. Ummm....all I want to know is where do I send my money? ??
  5. Ok you are going to have to add me to the above comments! After my first experience with CK I fell in love, and honestly see myself looking at a JS or above for our next cruise, and I am also only desiring ships that have a CK on them! Please do not take my word for it, @mom2mybugs as well as @Lovetocruise2002 will sing praises for CK as well! I like trying a few of the other restaurants and the service that we got there was wonderful and the meals were great, I just think that CK is on par with the specialty dining and with the small intimate setting and the crew being extremely attentive to your needs it brings it up a few notches for me.
  6. We loved it, we both agree that we enjoy the Oasis class more but we did like it! I do believe that Two70 was one of my favorite areas on the ship, it was wonderful sitting there people watching as well as watching the aft portion of the ship. Wife and I actually fell asleep in the chairs just prior to Next Cruise which is close to Two70, we had an amazing time! Jamies was wonderful and the garlic bread there is to die for!!! Don't even get me started in on the cheesecake........
  7. We were on Anthem a little less than 4 weeks ago and I can assure you that they had two formal nights! Not sure who gave you that information but I want to say that they were the second night and the fifth evening. Hope that you enjoy your cruise! ?
  8. I know that they are saying that capacity is at 10K but I honestly would not want to be there on a day that they have 3 ships, that is pretty busy, depending on the ships that are docked! I could not even imagine how hard it would be to find a chair or a nice quiet spot to enjoy the island (without booking a cabana).
  9. How about a dining package, that or turning that money back in and using the funds to book another cruise......that would be a GREAT birthday gift!!!!?
  10. My first cruise was on Oasis, had such a great time we HAD to book another for later that year after we got off the ship. We ended up on Enchantment of the Seas, while it was a great cruise we were shocked because we were expecting the same experience! We were absolutely spoiled rotten by the Oasis class which is our absolute favorite! You are going to have an absolute BLAST! We have not been on Symphony but I know that it is even better than Oasis. Please be sure to already have a few cruise dates in the future picked out so you can book another prior to disembarking!!!?
  11. ABSOLUTELY! I would really love to be able to pack lighter and really not have to worry about it! I know exactly what to pack by now, and how much I need and I am still close to 50 pounds when I check my bag at the airport. It would be nice to cut the amount of stuff I need by half and bring a smaller suitcase. If folks will complain about which end of the ship how about you stagger one at each end of the ship on opposite decks. I can guarantee you that it definitely would be a money maker! I really do hate coming home with a suitcase full of nasty, smelly clothes. But if this is the worst thing I have to complain about on a cruise then I really do not have a major complaint! And I have to agree, I would love a lazy river as well, that would be pretty sweet! ?
  12. You may want to check the main page for the old Cruise Compass' that have been posted for further information about the formal nights and events onboard Oasis. Some of the entertainment is in your Cruise Planner, that will have all of your options for your shore excursions as well. There are several shows you can pre book through the Cruise Planner and there will also be others that you may be able to book onboard or it will be on a first come basis.
  13. I can assure you that if that is what you desire then you should have no issues! Yes there are noisy areas, and yes there are places that are noisier than others but I can assure you that I have been able to find nice quiet spots on each and every cruise I have taken, even on the smallest ships of their fleet. If you have a balcony and you are nowhere near a club above, below or to the side or near the pool then your balcony should be pretty quiet. We have only had ONE cruise where we booked a room above a club and definitely regretted it by day 3 of a 7 day cruise. We have had cabins all over the ship and outside of that one where we learned we have not had an issue. We have done the exact same cruise that you are doing and on that exact same ship, and are actually doing it again in December. Please do not let what you hear scare you, I can assure you that you will have a wonderful time and that there are plenty of places to get away. Sit back relax and destress, it will not be as bad as you may think, yes there will be crowds in places but there will not be a constant crowd every place you go. They do a pretty good job of starting things at different times in different areas of the ship.
  14. For us it all depends on what we do, I know the wife loves the casino, I shy away, we book a few shore excursions but typically from start to finish we bring about $4-500 total on each cruise. That is not to say that we use it all but better to have it in hand than get ripped off and have to use their ATM out at sea! Wife did that ONCE and we both learned from that experience, the fee they charge is pretty hefty!
  15. Ok I could be wrong on this one (if I am I am sure someone will set me straight!?) BUT it would not be ok for you to go to the next seating as that table is already reserved for the next group of passengers that have pre-booked the next seating. Your best bet would be to go to the Windjammer, MTD, or any other restaurant for that particular evening. Good luck and I hope that you enjoy your cruise!! Do yourself a favor and start looking at future cruise dates! I am willing to bet that you are going to be hooked before you get back!!
  16. ABSOLUTELY! The metal or plastic hangers that hold everything up are so thin that you will have no issue closing the door. The hangers for ours are maybe a little thicker than a credit card.
  17. ? I do not doubt what you are saying one bit, I just think its absolutely crazy that they have banned them, but oh well! It is their ship and they can do as they please! Yet another reason that I plan on staying loyal to Royal for quite some time to come!
  18. I am going to hate to admit it but this is DEFINITELY something that I am considering, I was absolutely blown away by the service and attention that they gave us in CK, we had grown so used to the service in the MDR that we did not realize the elevated service at CK. I know that this is going to be the problem when we book a GS, it will be hard going back to the normal OB. I know that we are going to become absolutely SPOILED ROTTEN and fall in love!!
  19. I will give you something better than a link, although it does not have all of the benefits listed!
  20. I can understand that, I am not complaining but I do wish that a JS came with a few more benefits but I have definitely enjoyed every benefit that they have given us! As I have already stated I am enjoying those double points to get us to the next Crown and Anchor level ASAP!
  21. I am going to have to defer to @Matt for a definitive answer for this one but I can tell you that I have had one for the past 6 cruises, our last cruise on Anthem departed on 30Mar19 and we had no problem with it! Not saying that they are or are not banned I am just saying that we have not had any issues as of yet! ?
  22. You will absolutely get double cruise points! Past two cruises have been in an JS and we have gotten 28 points out of the deal!? Oh and BTW @teacherdl BOOK IT!!! My policy is that if the price to upgrade is cheaper than taking another cruise then I will always pay the extra to upgrade so we get the extra points. Cheapest that I have found an upgraded room for us was about a $600-700 difference. That was between a OB and a JS, for the price that they are giving you please do yourself a favor and book that before the price changes!! You WILL regret it if you don't! Lets just say that for the small price point and the ability to eat in Coastal Kitchen you will be extremely glad that you booked it!
  23. Please do! I have found that the only sure cure for “cruisitis” is booking another one or two!!!?
  24. Have to agree with the above statement, I know that due to the way that we have accrued our points we have gotten to the next level while we are on a cruise. We were platinum and had 53 points on our last cruise and are currently emerald with 67 our cruise in December that will bring us up to 71. That being said we have never been able to enjoy the points of the next level while onboard we have always had to wait until the following cruise.
  25. Mitch, I know that I am not in your shoes but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE listen to the advice given here and if you are unable to get off an extra day then PLEASE get a flight that arrives MUCH earlier in the day. What happens if the airline looses your luggage? Or it is on the flight that arrives a few hours behind yours? You are definitely playing a dangerous game my friend! I can tell you that in order for me not to loose my mind, on that day I would need some mega doses of Xanax, I would be completely stressed out! Not sure why they let you cut it that close to your departure time but if I were a betting man I would definitely bet that chances are slim that you are going to be able to make it off the plane and terminal to terminal in the appropriate time. There are FAR too many things that have to work in your favor in order for you to make it on time. Once auto accident or backup and you instantly miss your ship, not the way I care to start my vacation!
