That looks like the cake they brought my MIL in CK on Wonder last June (we only asked for a slice with a candle) with slightly different decoration colors. It was also pretty good.

WONDERing How Cruise #2 Will Go - March 17-24, 2024
OCSC Mike replied to OCSC Mike's topic in Live Blogs
She'll never see this but I just felt like sharing (and I will again be purposefully vague on specifics)... My wife kept in contact with her via social media and learned last night that unfortunately it was a bit more serious than she realized. Medical on the ship had her visit a hospital in St. Martin during our cruise and she is now back home awaiting a medical procedure to address the issue. Sending positive thoughts and wishes for a speedy recovery to our favorite Mason Jar server! She is one of the kindest, sweetest crew members we have ever come across. Get well soon! -
I saw others reporting issues but I can login via PC and the app is working fine on my iPhone.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the price varied... almost everything else does with Royal, lol. I thought I saw a much lower price in the past but I could be wrong or it could be the variability.

My wife has stories of swimming with rays as a kid (I think it was Grand Cayman). Apparently one of them liked her mom so much it jumped up onto her chest. I can only imagine my MIL freaking out, lol. Our swim/snorkel excursions are more for my wife but I had a great time on St. Martin. The water was very calm and I felt like I was just kinda floating along with almost no effort. There were enough turtles out that day that we didn't even have to get that far from the boat and since they have to come up for air every so often, I like how they kinda come to you or at least closer for a better view.

There is definitely a fee. Not sure if it varies by ship or event or sailing but @Matt wrote an article about paying $350 to rent it out for 3 hours to watch a march madness game on Wonder recently. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2024/04/03/review-is-royal-caribbean-playmakers-owners-box-worth-it

Sounds like a proper portion to me. Awesome! Have fun! I'm more of a swim with turtles guy but did see a few rays gliding across the bottom while snorkeling off St. Msrtin last month.

GTY cabin view and bar code scan success story
OCSC Mike replied to Kesha Jagdeo's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
It can but it is extremely rare. -
Yes, my wife does (although she fills her with the free flavored water onboard). To be sanitary, you take cups of water from whatever venue (buffet, cafe, etc.) and pour them into your bottle... or you can get bottled water since you have the DBP and use that. You can leave later on and everyone gets breakfast (which starts extremely early on disembarkation day). I know nothing about that product and you're probably right... but you can test it at home by putting your phone into airplane mode and seeing how the kids watch works. You can get extra key cards from guest services (and obviously no one checks or cares who sleeps in what cabin).

Future Trips and a Thanksgiving Sailing

That's a fairly high bar though. -
Doesn’t sound harsh to me. Essentially that IS your “justification” (or reasoning, logic, thought-process, call it whatever you want). I look at it pretty similarly to you. We can mostly only sail when school is out b/c my wife is a teacher. For March 2024 - March 2025, we initially booked 4 cruises (all 7N on Wonder so it’s really apples to apples). The spring break cruises were a good bit cheaper than June & July. But that’s what we wanted to do this summer so we chose to pay the premium. Sure the March cruises are a better value but the Summer prices were worth it to us. For similar cruises further out, prices were even higher and March was similar to June/July. For now, we decided they were still worth it to us (booking refundable group rates helps b/c we have plenty of time to change our minds). There are a couple other factors that will make the total costs closer to the earlier cruises but that doesn’t really matter as far as my main point… Everyone values things differently. If cruising at current prices is still worth it to you, great! If it’s not, that’s fine too. I would never buy an expensive car or jewelry but if someone values those things & can afford them, no judgment here.

Just one less thing to take care of once you arrive. If it works for you your way, go for it.

Worst case, the porters can fill out luggage tags for her at the port.

Years ago when we were further away from becoming or acting like vintages we went to a local Irish pub for trivia almost every week with a group of friends & I think I got fish n chips 95% of the time. -

Agreed. I still think funnel cakes should be on the Boardwalk on Oasis class... could add them to the Dog House... but adding them to a place already frying stuff is a no-brainer. WJ had churros on Mexican night on Wonder that were a bit misshapen (random chunks of dough, lol) but tasted good. -

I've never had it in the UK but I like fish n chips... there's a reason you need tartar sauce for the fish and malt vinegar for the chips though. Also, it was more your comments about the food sitting out and how the tiny shrimp nuggets looked than the fish n chips. -

Appreciate the pics but that sounds pretty bad. I've had far better looking breaded shrimp in the CL and SL on Wonder. -
