  1. Also agree with @spiralqueen , it is not noisy behind any off the restaurants on Central Park.
  2. They had gone away from snails on a few sailing I was on and switched in tiny scallops instead, they were really good, but I like escargot.
  3. 1. Yes, just watch the Cruise Compass. 2. Yes, they are allowed for Breakfast, lunch and Dinner (Reservations are encouraged). 3. The waiters will split the bill by Sea Pass card. 4. Should not be a concern. 5. Yes, on the pool deck, usually by the towel stand.
  4. My understanding is yes, it has to be on embarkation day. Any other day they will take it and put it up. The UK and Mediterranean could be different.
  5. We are the same way, we always have to approach them and ask, except for maybe on the pier, and the first day, we are always hit up. Maybe we just aren't the "Pretty people".
  6. Do they have anything showing what goes on in the Music Hall other than probably the Cruise Compass?
  7. I think you are right on, the Wife works at a school, so we are forced to take vacation when school is out, but I flat refuse to try and take a cruise on Spring Break, mostly because we have to fly anywhere to cruise and the airlines know when Spring Break is and jack the prices up. We do normally go in June as soon as school is out, this year is July for the group cruise, generally in June we find more kids, but thankfully kids don't bother us, so no worries. We do normally take a cruise for Fall break, it seems not as many families try and cruise in October so we are usually good.
  8. Last time we cruised out of Canaveral we stayed in Orlando, this time we wanted to be by the beach, we get in relatively early so will be able to enjoy our selves and start the cruise early.
  9. I rented a car from Hertz, Hotel is Residence Inn Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach, Hertz has a drop off in the same parking lot as the hotel. Then I will either Uber or taxi to the port the next day. A lot of people on the boards will stay at the airport and then there is a shuttle to the port. I decided to stay close to the port so that is why I made my decision.
  10. They weren't cheap, the brand is Merrell, but I figured I could were them other places (Which I have).
  11. I have a pair of water shoes built like running shoes, might solve your problem.
  12. I wear a pair of slip on Sketchers brand, I believe they have wide sizes available, they are mesh and breathable, if I tear them up I didn't spend a lot on them, but I have had the same pair for 2 years, very durable and washable.
  13. An article from the Blog side. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/01/31/first-time-cruisers-guide-royal-caribbeans-oasis-of-the-seas
  14. My thoughts exactly. I'm still going to do Navigator but have to find a whole in my cruising and work schedule.
  15. It will be in your cabin the first day (And every night), or you can find them at Guest Services before the rooms are ready.
  16. I thought the same thing when I looked at them (After @twangster Navigator Live Blog!) because I figured that if I was going to fly to Florida for a cruise I'm going to make it worth while and do 7 days worth. No Casino Comps for me...
  17. With the drink package you can consider it pretty much all inclusive, the only thing that isn't included is the specialty restaurants like Chops and 150 CP, couple of others, you can Google them, Johnny Rockets is not as @AshleyDillo has already mentioned. The $12 limit is really $13 on Oasis and you should not have any issues going over, usually it is calling an extra shot or a really expensive wine, everything else is usually right at the mark. Just ask the bartender, they are really good at telling you. I don't remember if Oasis has a Starbucks but it isn't included but other specialty coffee areas are. Don't put a lot of faith in the APP yet, log in and use the online cruise planner to see everything.
  18. Ask all the questions you want, someone on here will respond.
  19. I say it has to do with expectations, I had gone 10 years also without taking a cruise (Any type of real vacation truthfully), my last cruise vacation was in 2002 on Adventure OTS not long after she had been built and at the time one of the largest cruise ships in the world, fast forward to 2012 and I book Allure OTS not long after she was built and again one of the largest cruise ships in the world. I had no pre-conceived ideas of what the cruise should be like, a lot had changed in 10 years and I had no idea what to expect with just the overall size of Allure. I had an amazing time and have sailed on her 2 additional times, Oasis once, Harmony once and multiple other RCCL ships since 2012. I have seen many, many glowing reviews for Navigator OTS since she has been re-done, I personally have not sailed her since she was AMPED, I have to fly for every cruise I go on, so I prefer a minimum of a 7 day cruise. I might hazard a guess that when Navigator was redone she was redone to attract new cruisers by offering the shorter cruises and the whole new AMPED philosophy. Maybe this is not what you like and from your comments not what your expectations were, I can say that on my last 17 cruises since 2012 (All on RCCL) I have never experienced anything close to what you say you experienced. I have seen crew that are tired, over worked and other personal issues but they have always been pleasant and provided me with what I requested. My suggestion would be to try a different ship, maybe larger, possibly smaller. For what it worth, I have never received any feedback on my post cruise survey either, and I have let them hear about it on different items.
  20. The Coco Cay, Coco Beach Club and South Beach are not built yet and are not scheduled to be completed until December 2019 or January 2020, so there will not be much information out about them yet.
  21. There may be one under the desk by the make up mirror and 1 in the bathroom.
