  1. I wouldn’t freak yet! It’s either good or very bad. Since Fain just put out another feel good video today, it can’t be bad. Let’s think good!
  2. This is an excellent article for everyone to share on their social media. Perception versus reality of cruise ships. Most all of us can relate to the measures taken to keep us healthy onboard. Now it’s time we let Joe Public know that ships aren’t the Petri dishes they’ve been led to believe they are. http://www.yourcruisecoach.com/cruise-travel-and-covid-19-perception-vs-reality/
  3. The CDC won’t even express any interest in what the cruise lines are proposing. That’s not right. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/06/18/wall-street-cdc-blame-cruises-not-resuming-sooner
  4. Carnival needs to scrap the ship in Jacksonville. That thing is ancient and a rust bucket. I've not been on it but many friends have locally and it leaves little to be desired.
  5. Masks are mentioned.............. https://www.virginvoyages.com/ahoy/stories/voyage-well?mi_u=00Q3s000013h5XoEAI&utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=SL-VoyageWell&sfmc_id=
  6. Maybe a TA can answer. I thought the FCC was given according to how you originally paid. You are full price plus 25%, your wife’s original fare plus 25% and your child’s original fare plus 25%. I’ve seen here where people in a stateroom all have different amounts on their individual FCC’s. So now you’ve gotten an answer that still doesn’t answer your question! Hopefully someone will break the tie!
  7. Great pics! Back when cruising was for the “older” crowd! ?
  8. Grab your torches and pitchforks! https://www.marketwatch.com/story/norwegian-cruise-investors-can-blame-the-cdc-for-extended-cruise-suspensions-analyst-says-2020-06-17
  9. Maybe we start now prior to Thursday meeting. Let them know we’re ready! Stupid CDC probably thinks no one wants to cruise.
  10. Here’s what I posted in @DunwoodyDad’s thread: At what point do we passengers grab our torches and pitchforks? I’m about ready to start making some noise. ? If you can sit in a movie theater on land, you should be able to sit in a theater on a ship. If you can sit in a restaurant on land, you should be able to sit in a restaurant on a ship. If you can fly on an airplane that can have upwards of 1,000 passengers in a day, all smooshed together breathing recirculated air, why not a cruise ship? So if we all did start being squeaky wheels, WHO do we complain too?Senators/Representatives/Governors of port states? Inundate the CDC phone lines and socialmedia? I think it’s time they hear from US!

  12. I would imagine one reason for lift and shift was to get people off these late summer/fall cruises to reduce capacity. If they still need to reduce the numbers, my guess would be offering a healthy FCC to move. I don’t think they would bump people off. It’s not like the airlines where you can just catch a later flight that day. I think that would really upset people. For those that work, some companies aren’t flexible moving your vacation time. We’ll all have to wait and see....
  13. I never pay my balance until 90 days out. Why give them your money any earlier than you have to?
  14. Speaking with our favorite locals in St Maarten.....that Island was hurting badly after Irma and Maria with no cruise ships for weeks. First time cruise visitors are IMPERATIVE to these islands. Tread lightly Caribbean governments. Although will youREALLY notice the extra $200-$300 in your cruise fare? I will agree with @WAAAYTOOO about developing more private destinations. I’m looking forward to see what they eventually do with Grand Lucayan.
  15. I believe this may be a legitimate reason.
  16. Look what’s headed to Meyer.....saw this in a Facebook group.
  17. I’d like to think this blog may help drive some decisions made by RC. You know there are RC people that read this blog. (Well if they were smart they would! ?) I mean this blog is really the heartbeat of the line. ?
  18. Ok good because now I can just say it was a bad dream! I didn’t really see it! ?
  19. I’m ready to get off this roller coaster. You know RC and NCL will follow suit https://www.worldofcruising.co.uk/carnival-cruise-line-august-sailing-restart-date-delay-passenger-safety-coronavirus/
  20. As always the voice of reason. ?? I’m not on her until October 2021. I feel good about my date. I hope a miracle happens for you @twangster ?
  21. Oh man, if this is the case, I’m barely squeaking in my October 17 Symphony
  22. Well well well.....according to this, she’s on schedule for November? https://cruisearabiaonline.com/2020/06/09/meyer-werft-previews-royal-caribbeans-new-odyssey-of-the-seas-under-construction/
  23. I read this almost a week ago. I’m in about 5 or 6 Royal Caribbean Facebook groups. If I stumble back upon it, I will screenshot it. Right now each of those groups have about 30 posts a day. It would take hours.
