  1. What itineraries are you looking at? We just did the 12 night Holy Land/Greece/Turkey/Cyprus back in October. We only did one ship tour in Santorini just to get priority tender. The rest were small group/private. Heard so many complaints about the ship tours, especially in Israel.
  2. I would use a travel agent and look for group rates. I have changed a refundable deposit to a non refundable a few times. Usually right before a final payment is due and the non refundable fare is cheaper. @Sharla can you change a refundable to non refundable anytime before final payment?
  3. We’re linked with our friends who are in the same type cabin next door to us. Their reservation is above ours
  4. It can’t be free @Midwest Cruiser. The beach club only has capacity for 3800 (at least that’s what was initially reported). Thats 1/2 an oasis or icon class ship. I expect the whole thing will have a price tag
  5. Have you looked here? https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Multi_Dest/Special_Offers/rci_sales_event_USD.pdf
  6. I have to admit that we have never made full use of UDP. We have only ever used it for dinners. Sea days are always on the pool deck so no specialty lunch. However I think I may have to re-think the whole nachos at the aqua theater lol. Now that’s a game changer! We just aren’t big food people but prefer a more “restaurant” feel versus MDR. I can’t imagine eating breakfast, lunch and dinner in the same day with the portions served on the ship. Pretty sure they’re making money off us!
  7. Last time (last March on Wonder) we just hopped over to Lindbergh Bay. Literally right around the corner. It wasn’t crowded, had a hotel restaurant and bar with chairs/umbrellas to rent
  8. Booked this to hold us over until our Icon in April. Will be our first on Allure and our last Oasis class we haven’t sailed. Looking forward to sailing this “vintage” ship
  9. Ok thank you! I hate surprises and I have “my” system down pat. Now I shall prepare to run to MDR kiosk! As long as my show reservations are already made prior to boarding, I’ll just have to worry about dinner reservations. I’m so Type A but everyone who travels with us loves me because I plan everything and they just show up when I tell them too!
  10. Someone in a Facebook group said that they were not allowed to go to a specialty restaurant to make their reservations for the week. They were directed to the theater which had a very long line. This was on oasis. Has anyone had this experience?
  11. Our first D+ coming up soon. Do I still need to make show reservations or can we just show up?
  12. That happened on our Holy Land cruise last October. Cyprus was added as a port. We were not charged extra. I’m sure those that booked after the addition were charged port fees/taxes. I’m glad it was added. It was a great port! Beautiful!
  13. I follow Marc Walker Cruise Director on Facebook and he’s currently on Navigator for the Star Trek cruise and then The 80’s cruise. From what he’s posted, there are no Royal Caribbean shows/entertainment. The charter brings their own. I know your loyalty perks (free drinks, internet, photo etc) are not available on charter cruises. Not sure if you earn loyalty points. I don’t think you do. Hopefully someone will chime in on that. They do look like a lot of fun though. William Shatner was onboard for this one. Next year it moves back to a Florida port.
  14. There’s a Facebook page for Utopia to chronicle the process
  15. I use Sharla at MEI since October 2019 with 5 sailed with 3 booked. She was awesome through all the Covid crap with those blasted FCC’s. What a nightmare but she handled it all with grace!
  16. I was thinking they looked Carnival-ish. Just need flashing neon lights
  17. Not sure how I feel about the new colored blocks. Don’t really like them
  18. Not available for my May 7th Wonder. Was looking at the beer one. It is available for my October Allure and none of the bags showing for my next April Icon. Probably too soon for that one.
  19. Great Bay Beach is what Pooch is referring to. You can walk or take the ferry. We always take the ferry. St Thomas: No beach within walking distance. Lindbergh Bay is the closest at about 5 minute taxi ride
  20. Yes. When they check in online (roughly 45 days out) they can add their card for onboard purchases
  21. Song of America 1990 Monarch 1992 and 1994 Sovereign 1997
  22. Still waiting for my odyssey block from October. They didn’t have any and left a form in our room to have it mailed. We gave that to the LA. I waited 3 months and called C&A. They said they would prioritize it. Still waiting….. We will get our second on Icon!
